They are a located much higher than the rear diff so I believe this is the main reason you don't see many adding an extended breather on those. I may add them since I go through some pretty deep water crossings here in Florida. Hope this helps!

      I did the stock front end load and even have an armored bumper. I love the ride quality with it and was worried going with the heavy load rating as I've heard it makes for a stiff bumpier ride. I don't haul a trailer with my GX so I figured the stock load made the most sense for my use. If you are hauling a lot of weight, you might want to consider the heavy weight springs.

    This is up there with window tint; although window tint is more straightforward, is still sucks! lol

    Thanks for your honesty and candor with all of your projects. You've been an inspiration to try projects I otherwise would not have! "No shame in failure" .... 100% agree! I chalk it up to the price of education, ha ha.

    Hey man just wanted to say thanks so much for making all of these videos. I have followed every one of your speaker videos from the door speakers to the subs. My door speakers are sounding great now I actually used the DS brand 8ohm speakers for my 6x9s and 6.5s and used the SKAR sub like you did here. I am having one issue though the subwoofer makes virtually no sound at all now. It does move in an out when I tested it after installing but man its not producing any volume once I buttoned eveyrthing up and sat in the driver seat. I moved the balance all the way to the rear and there is literally no subwoofer sound at all. I wired eveyrthing up exactly as you did here in the video. I tripled checked all wiring. The sub is getting power as I feel it moving with the radio on theres just no bass what so ever. Is it possible my amp is fried just for the sub portion? Front speakers push good volume and sound great.

      Hey SkinnySkinch! Thank you for reaching out and I'm thankful you appreciate the videos I created for the GX community. I'm sorry to hear about the sub acting up and you are thinking right in line with where my head is at based on the symptoms you are explaining. It could be that the amp channel that the sub is on is fried and why you aren't hearing anything. It's a little more of an advance electronic piece of equipment, but it would be interesting to see that signal on an oscilloscope to see if its even singing the audio waveform to the sub. If a flat line, then its certainly a blown amp channel.

      @@Awesomoto Mannnnn I was hoping I was wrong about Amp being blown. My rear door speakers are also basically only words no bass or mid at all. I found a few on ebay around $500 with a $150 refundable core. $350 is still a lot for a 20 year old amp.

      @@SkinnySkinchI’d say going with a new aftermarket amp would be a better bet than a questionable 20 year old amp on eBay. I’m planning to do an audio upgrade video in 2025.

      @@Awesomoto Yeah you're right it's just such a bummer bc I just specifically bought all of this 8ohm stuff so I could maintain the factory wiring and amp. If I upgrade the amp I will need to run new wires to every speaker right?

    • @Awesomoto
      @Awesomoto Месяц назад

      @ Maybe you could put an inline amp on just that sub. I’ve seen people do that to get more power to drive that rear sub harder.

      I completely agree! This hood will see sticks and branches on trails, so I shouldn’t get too carried away with cosmetic details. That’s awesome to hear! Thank you for the support! 🙏🏻 I’m restocking the panels and should have them back in stock in about 2 weeks.

      Thanks Kareem! I needed everyone to see that not everything goes according to plan in real life. It sure would be nice if it did! 😂 I think I’ll have success on my second attempt and I felt that I was starting to get the hang of it towards the end. Fingers crossed.
