Great video! Have you thought about doing a muffler delete? My original muffler finally rusted & snapped off flush to the muffler. While looking at replacements, I came across a video of a guy who deleted his by replacing the muffler with a piece of straight pipe. I gotta admit, the car is still pretty quiet, but when he accelerates, it gives a deeper, throaty sound. Reminded me of the sound of my '99 Cobra exhaust. Not sure which way I want to go with it now.
Shawn, Your comment comes in perfect timing as I'm prepping materials to do an exhaust video. The plan is to show how to put in a remote exhaust cutout so that you have the choice of quiet muffler or straight pipe. I'm very excited about this upcoming video and the new sound the GX will have!
In the video I saw, the guy just took his GX down to a muffler shop & they charged him $60 to weld in a piece of straight pipe & add a couple of slight bends in it to line up the two pipes. I like your idea much better! Looking forward to the video.
