Thanks! We are both really liking how it turned out. I just popped by your channel and you guys look like you are having a blast! We got some snow here as of recent, but noting like you big boys out that way! Keep it up love seeing the 4runner out there!
I've used the same tool you made to install the rivnuts in my van. I found that using anti-seize grease on the bolt prevents the bolt from breaking. Great video!
Do it! They are great but I too wish I didn't always have to rep team red all the time. I might try and dye some of them in the future but they ain't cheap to just be experimenting on and to import the UK black ones cost an arm and a leg so... team red it is!
Hey man I have been tryin my damnest to build this Bedrack and I am now 4 strut channels wasted into this. Everytime I cut it and test fit it onto my f150 it is either lopsided and or too short or long. Can you please give your measurements from the strut channels and how you measured your angle cuts. Or do a video of so… I’m getting a lot of money into this already to keep failing
do you have a link for that insert thing you install? That look like something really solid to mount anything in the truck. And if you have a tutorial for that I will appreciate it too.
Sure! Here are some of the inserts I used: www.amazon.com/Steel-Cross-Nut-Pre-Bulbed-pre-bulbed/dp/B008VGWFAI There are several different makes and similar concepts to accomplish the same job, but these worked well for me. As far as the install I made a simple tool, but I think making a short video on the install process is a great idea! I will get right on that. I was not installing that many but I have heard if you are doing dozens of these then buying a true installation tool is a good idea. Hope this helps! -Kevin
Awesome install! I have a 460 and the options they have are ridiculous for the price. Also the "cheaper ones" only mount to the plastic and a bungie cord, which isnt strong at all.
Sorry for the late reply here! Yeah tell me about it the 460 stuff is somehow MORE outrageous than the 470 set ups. Without looking at the 460 I can't be sure but bet you could pull off something similar yourself if you can stomach drilling holes in your Lexus!
Super clean mod. I love you're finding extra storage in those areas that would normally be dead space. Nice job.
Thank you! It's was half luck that the boxes were the perfect size for the table, and that they fit in the door cut out. Okay maybe 70% luck!
Great mod ! Such a clean install, looks like it came from the factory that way.

That is a great tip! I will be doing that next time for sure.
Sick!!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Great mod! I may give this a shot in my 460. I wish they sold the black pack outs in the US.

Same same but different!
Thanks for checking it out! Your gx storage system is super inspiring!

What length bolt did you use for the rivnuts where the plastic clips used to be?
One was 70mm (upper left) the rest were 40mm.
