I bought these a year ago and am satisfied with them. They work as you described. Mine came with a cardboard box and a larger charger tray. They charge easily and last me the entire day. I still do have some confusion when I want to change the audio from the hearing aids to the iPhone and vice versa. I sometimes cannot understand women's voices even after they repeat to me several times what they are saying. They simply give up on me. I nearly purchased the Oticon hearing aids instead of the Phonak. A few months ago the battery in one died and Phonak replaced it with a new one within a week. The Oticon gave me a slight advantage but did not have the features of the high-end Phonak Marvel. Both are expensive but hearing better is quite important.

I've been wearing my phonak audeo hearing aids for about a week, first time wearing hearing aids. All I can say is I love it. I like the rechargeable hearing aids. I recharge them overnight and put them in the morning, last me all day. Bluetooth works too.

Hell’o and thank you for this impressive information. I am in the market to replace the Phonaks I currently have. Both are “Dalias,” in-canal aids. The left ear aid, that I have had for about 5-6 years, has given poor sound quality from the outset. Despite bringing this fact repeatedly to the dealer’s attention, and computer adjustments made each time, a microphone replacement was determined necessary 2 years ago, yet it still yielded inadequate sound quality. The aid for the right aid was purchased in late ‘15. It needed a new microphone in ‘18. However, the sound quality is far superior in the right aid. My hearing tests through the years up, until a test performed yesterday, reveal the hearing loss has not worsened and is still stable hearing in both ears, thankfully, so the poorer hearing with the left ear aid indicates some defect in it, of course which I have had to live with. All of which brings me to my question to you both about what you can say to convince me to invest in more Phonak hearing aids. As said, the right-ear Dalia has great hearing capability, although it like the left aid, had to have its mic replaced at great expense. Also, I bought both aids just within 5 years, yet a previous brand of in-canal hearing aids I had 10-12 years, with minimal concerns compared to the Phonaks. So here I am prepared to go back to that previous brand with this new purchase any day now, yet I truly want maximum hearing accuracy afforded by the best of today’s hearing aids, especially in large group settings. The aids you present in this video are most impressive in all respects. Please share as best you can why I should invest once more in Phonak as far as hearing quality, reliability, and durability are all concerned.

      Hi Ana
We are fully independent so have no dog in the race so to speak, there are many great hearing aids out there & no brands we would avoid.
One point we would mention is all make repairs (in the UK cost £99) so a repair shouldn't be "at great expense" (We use Starkey for this which are an American company).
The Marvels (especially with the new 2.0 Firmware upgrade) offer a huge leap up in performance over the Dahlias, so worth a try.
If you would like us to recommend a clinic in your area who offer great service & follow best practices (as important as the hearing aids) please let us know & we will be happy to help.

Hi, thanks for the video, I am looking to get my first pair of devices and these do look the best even though their outside of ear. I am a but of a control freek, is there an app I can use to control settings or do you have to do this for me? Also, when the tech keeps improving is it just an upgrade of software or will I have to buy new devices?

Definitely beats older entry-level tech where you have to switch modes manually. There is a waiting list in some markets for the 50 so definitely a good aid.

When I hear "bluetooth" it makes me think I have to constantly punch into my cell phone what kind of noise environment I'm stepping into. (Movie theater, windy beach, quiet restaurant, noisy restaurant, concert, church, sports stadium, library...etc.) Seems very labor intensive! lol Plus! What if my cell battery is near dead? What am I to do with an already "set setting" and then step into a completely different noise environment if my cell dies?
*Q: Isn't there an intuitive hearing aid that can do the noise assessment-adjustment automatically??* If so...can you name a few reliable ones? (I apologize in advance, I'm going for my first appointment ever with audiologist in a few weeks. Been diagnosed by ENT doctor with moderate-severe hearing loss in both ears. Learning as much as possible on internet.

Yikes!! Is that pair or single? Are you profound or minor when it comes to hearing loss, if you don't mind my asking. Are you happy with your purchases?

    • @sudoman
      @sudoman 4 года назад +2

@@shogunfox7141 that was for a pair. I have a moderate hearing loss. Very happy with these hearing aids. I may be off touch with this feedback; I had gone many years without having hearing aids after my first pair fell apart and I don't have a good baseline of expectation from current hearing aid offerings.
First off, the battery life is phenomenal. I've never found myself with a dying battery unless I was pulling an all nighter -- and most days Im listening to music on and off all day. I can definitely hear better with them, but what I love most is the Bluetooth connection to my phone. Excellent work by their software team(s) on the aids functionality reconnecting to my android phone if I walk away and then come back in range later.
The app controls are great! There are sliders for adjusting how much bass, treble (when listening to Bluetooth audio) etc. And more for customizing how it filters the sound around you. Not sure if other hearing aids had these, but those features are now absolute must haves for any future aids, and it seems Phonak is the only company to come out and implement such features over Bluetooth so it's accessible to Android users. I really love ability to control the balance of Bluetooth audio against real world sounds. Also I can answer/end phone calls without picking up my phone.
The only negative things I have to say about these aids:
      - The quality of music over Bluetooth. Perfectly understandable, they're meant for speech not music
      - People often complain about not hearing me well when I use the hearing aids for calls. Easy fix is speaking up, but ofc that's not ideal every time.
      - How annoying the default audio processing profile can be about making adjustments when I'm listening to music (not Bluetooth). It'll from time to time ruin the music audio by treating it as "unwanted noise". This is really not a big issue though, as there's a built in audio processing profile for music which you can select in the app.
Finally, it can take a while to get used to, but the aids duck/reduce real life audio (how much it does this can be adjusted as well) your phone plays sound while connected to the aids. This can be annoying if you're engaged in something that involves sound, and a notification comes through on your phone. That momentary audio ducking is distracting. I've solved this by simply leaving my phone on vibrate all the time.
Hey at least there's a silver lining as i spend less time checking my phone :) and I can actually hear it vibrate sometimes.

Apple lithium ion AirPods, lithium powered sports buds etc, have been on the market for nigh on 4 years. Amazing that hearing aid manufacturers have lagged behind for SO LONG in what is, let’s face it, pretty standard miniaturized rechargeable technology.
