  • Lee Fletcher and Matthew Pearson of Orchestrate Hearing review the Widex Evoke Fusion 2 hearing aid. Widex Evoke is the world’s only truly intelligent hearing aid. This smart hearing aid intuitively analyses your sound environment and reacts to changes for natural, effortless hearing today and every day. Its ability to learn from the hearing experiences of every user, the Evoke keeps evolving to grow even smarter tomorrow. Evoke knows the difference between classical and pop music. How a meeting sounds different than a party. Also, it keeps up with you indoors and out - mapping your environment and adjusting accordingly. Since the sounds you’re exposed to are always changing, the Evoke hearing aid reacts to the environment around you through the Fluid Sound Analyser. Want an even more personalised sound? Teach Evoke how you prefer to hear with a few taps on the Evoke app. The SoundSense Learn feature gives you two sound profiles to choose from. Simply listen to them and select the sound you prefer - as many times as you want. It’s never been easier or more convenient to get satisfaction on the spot.

I actually didn't get back to it (it had been a long day)! The hearing aids identify themselves when you close the battery doors by saying Left ready Right ready in a language of your choice. A pretty cool feature!

Great review. It dose seem that these HA's lack some of the inspiring features of other brands. I know not all patients want all the new tech, but Widex seems to have a confusing product here. They seem to target one demographic with the landline telephone and the lack of, what could be considered "confusing" features, which is fine, and that demographic makes up a large segment of HA users. What I find confusing is they add in the AI feature to software, which I would think the assumed target demographic wouldn't want to mess with. I, like the audiologists in this video, find it difficult to talk up these HA's.

Fortunately the landline phone does work with the in the ear hearing aids. I have to confess I have no idea what my landline number is but for patients who have used the landline results have been overwhelmingly positive. One downside with it you need to hold the phone receiver to the ear the previous model allowed you to phone the phone near the ear but only existing previous gen Phone Dex users have picked up on this.

One question on the Widex sound quality! How would you say it compares to the Phonak Audeo Marvel? Does the Marvel compare?

      I'm also curious to know

Patients who I have fitted have been very impressed with both! No returns & no adjustments on the Widex (maybe the A.I. helps with this). Very minimal adjustments to the Marvel. I have found them great for streaming a movie from Google Play & taking phonecalls on my Xiaomi Mi Max 3 Android phone. (Unfortunately couldn't even use the app with Widex but other Android users have been fine using the app with Widex & using their very smart neck worn streamer).

I was told by a gent in the music industry his Evoke 110's were exponentially better than his NHS aids for music.

@@zone1hearing Thanks for this. Although the streaming functionality and sound quality are important for me, the sound quality of live music and speech are my #1 priority as I am a live sound technician. Anyone else with feedback on this? (pardon the pun.........)

@@adamdippel1702 The gent who raved about the sound quality of live music was a composer so I thought he would be pretty well qualified to comment on this. Seemed happy with the speech too. Fitted some 440 Evokes to a lady from Kuwait today, seemed very happy with the speech quality (had about 4 pairs of Widex has rejected all other brands).
