    i have rheumatoid arthritis...ten years ago i noticed these ridges on my two pinky nails, along with swollen hands and feet, chronic infections...doctors took my money and dismissed me After a naturopath took one look at my hands she told me to immediately seek medical testing for autoimmune disease. When i asked several doctors for tests they asked why, when i replied because of my symptoms and the naturopath they refused (we have publicly paid health in my country) telling me off for useless tests at taxpayer expense (i would have gladly paid) fast forward ten years i now have lost my job due to undiagnosed RA, have a dozen other life shortening illness's including heart disease (caused by inflammation) live in isolation and am bedbound in poverty. Health is wealth. put yourself first concerning health, no one else will. ❤️

      @M: Do wish you better health and sad to learn that the medical profession ignored you as recall many years ago seeing a Museum exhibition from Asia that intrigued me where it showed the condition of the nails, the tongue etc. was also a means of diagnosing and in many cases was very effective.

      @@canukmrsben I have been to see a doctor practicing Chinese medicine, she looked at my tongue (it's very white and swollen, inflammation and extreme fatigue) felt my pulse. I received massage and acupuncture which help enormously, but could not stomach the herbs. I would have liked to do both East/west but it's too expensive, and autoimmune diseases are progressive. Best wishes and good health to you too. ❤️

    Very informative! Being up in age I have noticed vertical ridges appearing in my nails however experience the opposite problems as described as mine grow so fast and nail trimmers don't work and have to use small embroidery scissors plus emery boards to keep them groomed. Also the Vegan polishes I don't necessarily recommend as it doesn't last (chips so easily) so one is continuously having to chemically remove it which IMO is harsher on the nails. That being said; excellent advice re diet but shall also add 'if you wish strong/pliable nails, add gelatin supplements to it at least twice a week'. i.e.: In capsule form, a dish/compote of your favorite flavored jello(s).

    Good informative video apart from the treatment. I mean “use nail fillers” ffs that’s not a treatment, it’s masking the symptoms.

      Because the psoriasis is also a fungal infection, nails can also be affected badly due to this skin disease.

    Personally I do not give a hoot what my finger nails look like BUT if it is a sign their is a vitamin or / & mineral deficiency then for better health I would be a idiot not to take advice.
    Some years ago I had very bad dandruff, Something I did not have some decades before, So I thought what is different from my diet then compared to a few decades before, So I added in Marmite, Vegimite etc (that black stuff) you spread over your bread back into my diet, then most of my dandruff went away, A few years later I was told Selenium in Brazil nuts helps take any Mercury out of the body, So I added Brazil nut to the diet, most of the remaining dandruff went away. Now magically most of the ridges on the finger nails have gone away.
    The bottom lines is, I sure we are not all the same, a cure for one person might not work for someone else.

    • @JeanLucConnery
      @JeanLucConnery 5 месяцев назад

      @@carolstapleton9108 sure, they aren’t needed for good nutrition, they are filled with anti nutrients and poisons. They block nutrients from other foods and poison you with lectins, and oxalates. They are bio engineered and not digestible. It’s pure propaganda that they are good for you. Perhaps a few nuts like Brazil are occasionally ok. Veggies other than fermented ones are bad.

      @@carolstapleton9108 The word discombobulated must be one of the easiest 15 letter to spell, why is it not used more often.

    • @ericr2646

      oh silly me, some people want others to get sick so they can earn a income getting people well again.
      There might another word for that miscombobulated why are these words not used in documentation more often, if you are throwing a party and you had to correctly spell a 15 letter word to gain entry these words would be ones to consider.
