So you don't consider it waste of time how he made an absolute mess of trying to explain the lean feature and its benefits for over a minute and ten seconds?
This clown is an absolute joke of a motoring journalist. Uninformed, uncritical, bad with words. His Z4 'review' was abysmal, this wasn't much better. I watch his videos for comedic value. For REAL automotive insight, go with the British journos, they peel back the layers and REALLY review cars.

The option of a third row seat with good room is a what will make it for many families. I used to have it on my old E320 station wagon (facing backwards though) and I miss it in my 2015 ML. It´s a feature that I don't use most of the time preferring the cargo space but that comes very handy several times a month specially in short trips and outings with friends, children, etc.

If this is how the GLE is going to look, then I will hold out for one of these. I was debating between this and a Cadillac XT5. XT5 because it uses regular gas and the warranty is so much better. I had an E and I down graded to a C (why, I have no idea) but now I need an SUV or truck so I settled on the XT5 for the gas, warranty, price and technology but I can't get Mercedes out of my system.., and now I see this!

Drove the GLE350, looked great, the engine was way to underpowered for the heavy SUV. The engine whined and struggled to get to speed or even accelerate at all going up hill. The small 350 engine feels out of place in a 65-70k SUV. The GLE450 drove nicely but the one I test drove was 81k and cheapest one my dealer had was 76k which makes the GLE more expensive than most SUVs in its size. I was very disappointed in the GLE and I’ve owned serval benz’s including the E class I currently own. I will not be buying the new GLE unless they change the base engine or lower the price of the 450. Every other luxury SUV in this category has a much better base engine, I know Volvo is a 4 also but it’s 315 hp instead of 255 and that’s definitely noticeable in the drive. And it’s much cheaper with more options. Even the Land Rover Discovery is cheaper with more options and a big 6 at 340hp for a base engine. And that’s an SUV that I also thought was much more expensive. The GLE450 now competes with much larger SUVs at that price point, not sure what Benz was thinking.

Best luxury SUV out there, winning by far on the comfort side in the segment. It can be sporty as well, if you go for the AMG 53 model, but then if you're willing to get an AMG-powered Merc, you might as well just get a Porsche Cayenne which is by far the best sporty SUV in the segment.

Although people's tastes are difficult to describe, there are many people who are dissatisfied with the trend of design rejuvenation. The best example is the decline in sales of the new 7 series.

People that complain about the reliability of these cars are usually the ones that can't afford them. High end cars come with more complexity and bond to have MORE issues compared to cars that has less technologies. Luxury come with a price including the maintenance. If you can't afford it, it's not for you. Go make more money is the only solution, stop being a sore thumb that will get you no where.

The 450 was very nice but the cheapest one my dealer had was 76k so too expensive for what you get in my opinion. Basically to get the old GLE350 performance you’d have to buy the 450 and spend 10k plus more for the equivalent car.
