To put into perspective how much all of this would cost to replace. Just in parts for the HPFP, injectors, water pump/thermostat, oil filter housing, walnut blast, valve cover gasket BEFORE addressing waste gate issues you’re looking @ 7k and with labor call it 12k. Parts for the N54 have gone way up. As an owner of a 135i for over 8 years (2nd owner) all of these have been replaced either under warranty or by myself and it is very reliable. But what a nightmare if not. Misfire gremlins. Not to say, I still deal with issues here and there. I’ve been following your channel for years and love all the content!
Oh I hear ya man! I’ve replaced a lot over the last 10 years of ownership and really having had to put anymore money into over the last few years, which is a nice change! Ha

Are the best, you get right to the point and have saved me hours of research on the forums. Honestly one of the best channels. Between Legit street cars for my (now sold) C63 Mercedes and you for literally every issue I’ve had on my N54. Fantastic and entertaining channel!
The first thing i do when i buy a N54 is remove the undersheild and engine cover. Fix all visible oil leaks and coolant leaks, install aluminum mickey mouse flange, after that point there soilid do plugs vanos when you can
Hey have you had any issues with the adaptive headlight modules failing? I just replaced the HID Bulbs because the DS headlight was out & that didn’t fix it. Went and pulled apart the headlight to find condensation in the module, so replaced the module and it got the low beam working again ❤ but the stupid light keeps coming up on the dash. Is there a way to code this out without Protools? I would still like the functionality of the factory headlight settings. I’ve read coding them out could disable that feature .. any help would be greatly appreciated please! Thanks

My N54 keeps cutting power I've changed the turbos and now my new turbos are making noise like my old ones before I change the turbos again what can I do to fix the car from cutting the power
I do have some questions for you. So I picked up a 2009 335i 2 yrs ago @$6k And this is my first ever BMW (previously Subaru owner) the first thing it needed was tires $1k smh so that was fixed. but then as you said the oil dripped down and the belt shredded. took it to a shop and they broke my bypass hose. they refused responsibility ofc. so now with a little patching it held for a little bit but it overheats i lose coolant etc. possible coolant system maintained as well as oil maintenance since it has a fresh oil change but has just been sitting there. now the battery is dead lol. and the rear window motors/actuator are shot and the glass dropped. its 1 snowball quickly growing. should I just give up on the car since I don't have huge capital? or do you think its worth doing a complete overhaul? i have no idea the status of the head gaskets or if it cracked the block. any mentorship would be appreciated. feel free to reach out in a PM since your well more adverse in BMW ownership/DIY

what are you doing to get that cell phone / tablet gauges?
Is the N54 community coming up with any DIY retrofit for newer design injectors or quality refurbished index XX injectors. I thought I watched something on blocking out the injector bores and going with a port injection system.
Yeah there are a few things in the works (just recently started looking into options at the moment)
@@BMWFanatic that’s great. Looking forward to a video to go over some options. I paid $3200 for my car…I’m not buys 6 injectors for the same price lol.
I get knock sensor low input code/limp if i give more than 40 percent throttle only when the car has just been started and for the first like 20 minutes. After i restart it no codes it runs flawless. I guess i should replace the sensor but its weird that it goes away. Ill probably just leave it its not an inconvience and assures the cars warm when i do put the pedal down.
BMW codes can get finicky for sure. How long has it been doing that? You can further diagnose it before you replace the sensor just to make sure that’s the root cause
