    The Yamaha Warrior 350 has achieved an iconic status thanks to it's almost 20 years of production and simple, bulletproof design. The Warrior was first introduced in 1987 and was instantly a hit because of it's sporty looks and easy drivability for all skill levels and riding terrain. In this video, Josh goes over some of the history of this machine and what makes it so great, along with some easy-to-add parts that give you the ability to turn your Warrior into a more powerful and capable ATV, no matter what kind of riding you do.

    I've had the pleasure of owning a couple different warriors over my year's of riding. These are great machines without a doubt. A healthy 350 engine on one of these is stout and powerful for the size. I've had plenty of more powerful quads such as banshee but the warrior has more than enough power. If anyone bad mouths these quads well there just flat out wrong brother. If you've owned one, you've loved one.

    Great bikes , I've got an 1987. Even though it's almost 33 years old and beat half to death and smokes a little now , it's minus 8c today and it fired right up with two pulls of the pull starter . If you can find one cheap grab it .

    Great classic ATV. With proper maintenance the motors last an extremely long time. I have worked on quite a few of these over the years. I like how the engine is built. Fairly easy to work on. I remember in the days when these were released. This was considered to be a big bore sport quad. Only Honda had it matched with four strokes with their 350x ATC. Of course the winner in the cc contest was Suzuki with their 500. Love the older machines.

    I bought one for $1100 with full aluminum skid plates, rental bars, and exhaust, first bike I rode in about 10 years and figured it’s a solid 350,6 spd and has reverse. It was yellow and grey super clean. Bought a new brute force 750 and wish I kept it for the price I sold it for. Find a good clean one with a few parts on it for under $1500. Can’t beat it. And there basically the same as the raptor 350.

    I grew up riding honda dirt bikes and got out of it for a while. A couple years ago I bought a honda 250x as my first quad ive ever owned and loved it. At the time my buddy bought a warrior and it left a bad taste in my mouth cause it was so clapped out. Ran like crap, suspension was blown so I swore I'd never own one. Fast forward and since then I owned another 250x and 300 ex. I sold an and decided I needed something a little bigger engine and overall size wise so I pick up a 92 warrior. Great shape, runs like a champ. Rebuilt the carb and she runs beautiful. This thing is awesome and I probably wont go back to honda again. At somepoint I plan to tear it down and rebuild the engine from top to bottom. Great quad and happy I bit the bullet and bought one.

      Aaron Martin TV I just picked one up Saturday, after correcting some of the po’s dumb shit i.e. the exhaust being loose hanging from the header clamp, with a booger welded silencer not bolted down, to an air box with no filter that had random loose hardware waiting to be munched by the carb...
      After repairing the exhaust, installing a cold air intake, and adjust the float level in the carb this thing turned into an absolute monster

    Whats with all the hate behind these bikes? Sure they arent racers stock but throw some different sprockets on there, maybe a cam and they can hit 80mph. These engines are very reliable and bullet proof, provided you take care of them. I have one of my own and she eats 400exs off the line.

    • @horriblydi5figured470
      @horriblydi5figured470 3 года назад +5

      @@Yamaha350w these bikes are mainly slow due to lack of airflow. Ported and polished head will be your main source of power increase. Another thing you can do is install a webcam or atleast a stage 2 hotcam. Full exhaust with the right sprocket setup and 80mph should be easy. You can also buy a stroker kit but I wouldnt. Thats just me

    They're just like any other sport machine, reliable if maintained properly. I had a 93 when I was a teenager. Fun bike with unimpressive but smooth power delivery, a comfortable ride in rough terrain and a roomy layout. A bit long and heavy, Warriors are best suited to faster, more open trails. The Honda EX I had later was more nimble and faster in the woods.

    Great Video about the Warrior. I am disappointed that suspension was not addressed, as rear shocks on these are known for failure. I can't imagine on this bike, that the rear shock was in perfect condition. currently own a 2003 Warrior and it is need of suspension upgrades (not to mention everything covered in this video). But everything else can wait. I can't even ride it with the rear shock bottomed out every time I sit on it.

    I recently had a guy offer to trade me his 1989 350 warrior for a 2 stroke bike I have, he said the clutch is locked up and all it needed was a new pull string and a clutch. Still trying to figure out if it’s worth the gamble I have no idea what else could potentially be wrong with the bike

      My friend in highschool had a 1990 W-350, and I had a 89' LT250R. 1994 Drag raced in the dirt parking lot next to auto shop. Big Trouble! Almost got expelled. Told us to never bring back to school. We had a big crew, weekend sessions. After school. Good times. My LT was very reliable. 1 piston kit, well over 100 hours. Close call big jumps & tells. buddys warrior very reliable too. I have a 2002 warrior now. Bought used. Regular service. I put a 50+ hrs. No problems.

    all the hate on these bikes. it's like he said they looked like a sportbike but in the end they were really a trail bike that could go to the track. They could be modified to be a serious racer, or just left stock to happily cruise trails. Them being slow is more or less a gearing issue, first is so low that I've been starting in second, a simple drive sprocket swap would likely fix it. Plus during the entire life of the bike yamaha had other bikes that always over shadowed it, but it has a niche as reliable trail bike or the beginners racer.
