    Thanks for this great video! I tried this mod on my 2010 S5 over the weekend but my factory mirror caps are/were glued to the mirror motor support frames. Any thoughts on how to get around that? Have you heard about that being done on any other B8's/B8.5's? Do you have any tips for how I might be able to get them off w/o damaging stuff?

      Depending where you bought your car from, it is possible that the previous owner got the side mirrors repaired with glue instead of replacing the covers. Or maybe you just have sticky residue like nature and other sorts of dirt and grind that's keeping the cover stuck in place. All these covers are bolted on & or clipped on with plastic tabs/inserts that clip right on the slots located inside the cover. You can always spray some wd40 around the outline of the cover, to see if youre able to free up the cover from whatever sticky surface it's holding onto.

    Great video, does it fit my A3 2012 Sportback???

    • @MotorHeadTech
      @MotorHeadTech  3 года назад

      I doubt it especially if the part #'s do not match up, not even the 2009 to 2012 A4 covers fit the 2013 to 2016 A4 models for example

    Hi, Great tutorial. Thanks a ton.I have a question. I have an A4 2009 model and the right wing mirror indicator light is broken and needs replacement. I just checked your above video and it helped a lot. I just want to confirm if the top and bottom part can be removed without having to remove the motor that moves the mirror. Thank you in advance for taking the time to read.

      Jeffrey Chung yes if you own the 2009 b8 a4, then you can remove the top & bottom covers to unclip the turn signal without removing the motor

      Thank you so much for your advise bro. Once again, greatly appreciate your guidance.
      Correct me if I am wrong but first I need to unscrew in 4 places and then push the top part up and the bottom part down simultaneously to get a gap at the bottom through which I insert a screw driver and then gently pry the top part open. Thank you.

      Jeffrey Chung lol np remember i have the b8.5 & you have a b8 & the designs up close are a bit different so there may be a very small difference, like 1 screw location is located elsewhere, but my video should help you out

      The 2 red clips holding the wires? Just pull them straight out carefully

    how do you put the turn signal in? every video skips this part and it's the one thing i can't get to fit, ridiculous, why would you skip this part?

    • @MotorHeadTech
      @MotorHeadTech  6 лет назад

      jackthehyena it’s the same steps as taking it out just do it in reverse. It’s redundant & not needed to be shown in the video

    We would like to see more MOD we could do to B8.5. I got an Audi A4 2014, I think the engine is A888?
    I am wondering should I get an OBD or should I the Vent gauge if they help, what is the pro/con of this engine,
    Does this Engine have electric cool down system or I should wait couple minutes for cooling the engine?
    I am recently looking at the dynamic corner light parts, How do you think?

    • @MotorHeadTech
      @MotorHeadTech  7 лет назад

      Huang Calvin the engine is EA888 Gen 3 Inline, anyways what do you mean by obd? Well in modern cars you can start & turn off the engine without a big deal. But since turbo cars requires much more maintenance, then its best to extend the vehicles life buy letting that car warm up upon a cold start, other than that I don't think it's necessary to wait for the car to cool down. the only cons with the engine is that everything is pricy, mods & maintenance, etc & the 2nd con is that the engine is very underrated compared to the vw jettas & gtis (despite its the same engines, vw is cheaper & more common). Lastly, go for the dynamic lights!

      Thank you, Luis! OBD, I mean obdeleven tool for A4. I have also seen your programming video for a4 MMI system, is there any secret menu we can go through just like B6 or the older version? I really wonder if we can change the menu display color those things without cracking in the system?

    • @MotorHeadTech
      @MotorHeadTech  7 лет назад

      Huang Calvin if i was able to do that, i would have showcased it lol, that vag com video is everything ive done rn for now, unfortunately theres nothing else to do atm.

    • @calvinjch
      @calvinjch 7 лет назад

      I am looking at Deutsche Auto Parts (OBDeleven Pro Scan Tool) seems this guy can do basic tracking and simple app click coding but they charge for each time activate or deactivate remote windows, should I get it or ? The VAG com seems expensive, so if I just want to get my window remote, what's your suggestion? lol If you can make the display color changes as easy as ATM. I will buy the show case for you. lol

    • @MotorHeadTech
      @MotorHeadTech  7 лет назад

      Huang Calvin get the vag com, its well worth your money in the long run, plus theres guides like my video that explains it in full how to program, plus this works with other vehicle makes & models
