I changed modules but still same issue. Seems as if power loss or tripping when closing but i also noticed front passenger door sometimes comes back on. Thanks but nahh. That’s a lot of work. My mirror have blind spot detection and they can manually fold. Having them auto fold is not much of an added benefit for me to spend all that time and money to do the retrofit.

Those hand gestures are necessary to make the demo fool-proof; a demo has to be that detailed. Mine's also RHD; this is a retrofit I am seriously considering as well.
I actually rock the orange color. It matches well with my stock infotainment screen and it looks good against my gray paint. But I’ll be installing an android screen soon so who knows what color I’ll rock.

This video is almost 3 years old. I’m not sure if they are selling the exact same kit anymore. I heard they are selling a new version that slightly different. You will need to contact DMP Car Design and ask them what the differences are.
I imagine, in those cases, one'd just leave out the rear door trims (honestly, I am not sure if 2-door versions have those, to begin with) and the ones that illuminate the door handles, since this seems like a straight up plug & play system that requires no coding of any sort. I don't see any reason why the pocket lights wouldn't find a home in such cars, though.

Hello buddy, I haven't had any ambient lighting until now and so nothing was activated in the system. I've now installed everything. Everything works, but I can't change the colors and the brightness either. I think I have to go in via a laptop and activate the function so that it works. What do you think ?

Just make sure the surface is clean using isopropyl alcohol, then slightly heat up the sticky side of the emblem before sticking on. That’s how you should be installing any form of sticker/decal/emblem.

Don’t know. As shown in the video, I used a bit that’s about the same size of the cylindrical part of the handle light. The drill bit for the door is included in my kit. Not sure if it’s included in the kit for purchase. You need to ask DMP.
Good morning friend, a question. Like me when it comes to installing an Android screen after having installed that light kit. because I see that everything is connected when connecting that is under the glove compartment
I answered this question a few times in the comment second. The ambient kit cause an extra plug to piggyback the android onto it. So both can still be connected to the canbus port.
The lights have nothing to do with your steering wheel functions. The lights only change if you press an exact combination of steering buttons at the same time.
I don't understand English well and the question is what is this one switch for and it says 1 2 3 4 that you can switch. It would be nice if someone could answer me what it is for. Thanks in advance lg
Most aftermarket parts don’t come with instructions. That’s why parts suppliers recommend you have a professional install the parts. Luckily DMP is pretty helpful and can guide you if you can do the majority of the stuff I did in my video. If you’ve never taken apart your car, then instructions aren’t going to help you. You risk doing damage and better off having a shop do the install if you want good results.
I have a feeling that all of this would be much easier installation if all modules would communicate with the main control box via Bluetooth. Then it would be easy "plug into original light energy source" kind of thing.
Umm…each box for each component does communicate wirelessly to the main box that’s installed under the glove box. They how they all know to turn on and off at the same time and they all change colors to the same color. It’s not Bluetooth technology but it’s still wireless. However every part still needs their own power source hence why it’s installed the way it was installed. It’s as easy as it can get. There’s no such thing as plug into original light energy source method even if someone tried. Bluetooth technology doesn’t provide power, Only a signal to control colors and on/off. Unless you have a battery for each component, then you don’t need to tap into a power source for each component of the kit. But then you’ll be constantly changing out batteries which defeats the whole point of the system running off the cars power and be somewhat oem-like.
Not exactly sure. You would have to message them and ask. They carry alot of stuff that's not online. Or...they actually have some high quality universal kits.

Huh? There’s no stock wiring for ambient lights. The Audi b8 and b8.5 platforms never came with stock ambient lights or wiring for it.
If you mean the footwell lights, you can change the lights and put them on the old wires but you will have no receiver to change colour

Yes. I have it piggyback/daisy chained. I just didn’t show it in the video cause not everyone has both the screen and ambient kit

The heat is important. Also it makes the carbon overlay more flexible and it contours the area better.

Not exactly sure. You would have to message them and ask. They carry alot of stuff that's not online. Or...they actually have some high quality universal kits.
Thanks for the quick reply...it would be great if they did coz I've seen some units on aliexpress with huge prices & there's no way of knowing how trustworthy they are including warranty...whereas DMP seem to be reputable when concerning after sales engagement with customers...I think there is a huge market for VW owners...I hope they do consider in future...
