Look, I'm not one to move the goalposts and it's all about how you frame the conversation, but it really does feel like dwelling too much on deliveries right now rather than getting excited about what's happening with Tesla's AI now that they are no longer compute constrained for the first time in a long time. We could've been where we are today with EVs by 2010 if legacy autos had a pair to embrace the right thing like Tesla. Tip from viking land (Norway):
If a car is parked and there is a very thick layer of snow, running the wiper is the last thing I would do.
First remove snow with snow brush or scrape, lift wiper up from glass to make sure a wiper is not frozen in place.
If it is free and you removed the snow, then the wiper can be ran.

From time to time, I hear legislative mandates being discussed for particular jurisdictions requiring a portion of the new vehicles sales be BEVs. Although there is plenty of resistance to these mandates, I expect this problem will not require any government intervention at all. Instead, as prices continue to fall on new BEVs and the cost of ICE vehicles and PHEVs continue to increase, no one will need any convincing to purchase a BEV - they will do so because it costs them less. Currently, the Total Cost of Operations favours BEVs, soon the capital cost will also be less as we move up the S-Curve of adoption.

Dillon, I think we have to look at Rivian for a guess as to what negative profit (aka loss) the Cybertruck is making right now, even selling at 120k for the Foundation series but surely at the 100k configuration. Good news is, the ramping up seems to work and battery production isn't a factor, so more lines can be installed and maybe a run rate for 40k CT's can be achieved this year. But any high price (high production cost) vehicle will still make a loss if they produce at or below the production number of Rivian (given that the manufacturing of the CT is so much more expensive than any other Tesla). Once they go further up in 2025, Tesla will hit break even and start to make profit on them but I don't think it's realistic to expect or count in any profit from CT right now. Yes, the price is a lot higher than any other Tesla (so average sales revenue will surely go up) but it's a loss making truck right now.

Well, as I know a heap about nutrition, I thought I would scrutinize the AG1.
1.Beta-carotene, as a supplement, has done poorly when tested. Very beneficial naturally in food, though. It is easy to get too much retinol, but that is still preferable. Having that form of vitamin A at say 40% of daily value seems better.
2.Vitamin C is a little high, and I'd like to see just a little fat soluble vitamin C as well.
3.Vitamin E...they did that right. Natural form is best.
4.Vitamin B1 is low, even though 250% sounds like a lot. And they need a second fat soluble form as well: benfotiamine.
5.Vitamin B2 is low. No downside to having more.
6.Niacin is too low. High it can cause flushing, but chances of flushing are low at say, 40mg.
7.Vitamin B6 I would use P-5-P instead. It is just safer and more beneficial.
    8.Folate fine.
    9.Vitamin B12 fine.
    10.Biotin fine.
    11.Pantothenic acid fine.
12.Calcium. Great care must be taken to insure sources are very, very low in lead. The sources listed I am suspicious about.
    13.Phosphorus. Ditto 12.
14.Magnesium is low. And this one definitely matters, as many Americans are low in this. Good forms are more costly. If this is a meal replacement, it needs to be higher.
15.Zinc slightly low, but not too bad. I would go with 20mg. And, as it can upset the stomach in that form, I would use zinc picolinate.
16.Selenium is too low. Cheap and gives you more energy. Someone was not doing their homework.
17.Copper fine. Too much can cause issues.
    18.Manganese is too low.
19.Chromium fine. A little more would be better. There is just a huge number of Americans that are diabetic or prediabetic that would benefit from more, and there is likely no harm with a little more for everyone else. If everyone was at a healthy weight it would not matter, but reality is reality.
20.Sodium. It is just there to look more complete, or is combined with other things. It is important to have enough sodium, but we generally do, unless one is running marathons. Sodium and high blood pressure is a complex and contentious topic. I'll let you do your own research.
21.Potassium is fine. They can't add too much, or people will get the runs. It is far less than you need in a day, but you want most of that from foods rich in potassium. Dried apricots have the most.
22.There is no iron. That is a good thing if men are going to be taking this supplement. You could have a very small amount, but none is just fine.
20.There are however some trace minerals which should be in there at low levels: Iodine (they have a smidge of kelp. That stuff tastes dreadful. Better to have iodine and also insure the right amount. I take a drop or two a week of Lugol's formula...that is not a brand. I put it in eggs. Lousy in water.), Molybdenum hasn't gotten many headlines, but it is important. Then we have Lithium (yes, we need a little, like 1mg a day), Vanadium, Silicon, and Boron (helps calcium go where it is supposed to go). There are others that are less clear: Strontium, Bromine, Tin, Germanium, Rubidium, and organic source Arsenic (inorganic is harmful). I would not add those last 6, until a lot more is known. It is just negligence in my opinion that the government has not done basic nutritional research on these. We know more about dog and cat nutritional requirements than human.
21.I have 4 serious issues with their "Alkaline, Nutrient-Dense Raw Superfood Complex." A. with all those root extracts, it is likely there is lead added. Lead is far more dangerous than most people realize. A study showed fairly convincingly that low level lead is responsible for 18% of all deaths in the US. B.Cocoa bean extract likely also has lead. C.There is likely substantial caffeine from the Cocoa bean extract and green tea extract. D.Licorice root power contains a potent neurotoxin. At the very least, this needs warnings of harm for pregnancy. Licorice candy has been shown to dramatically adversely harm future IQ in the unborn.
22.I have some of the same issues with their "Nutrient Dense Extracts, Herbs, & Antioxidants." Pea protein is very high in lead. It should not even be legal. More root extracts which must be tested for lead. They hid stevia in there. I don't have a problem with stevia, but it is disingenuous to put it in there. It should be listed as a sweetener.
23.Their "Digestive Enzyme & Super Mushroom Complex" has another root powder which needs to be verified lead-free, and they skipped out on Lion's Mane mushroom extract which is just fantastic for the brain.
24.I would skip adding bacteria of any kind. Adding probiotics should be an individual choice like caffeine, and sweeteners. There is very little scientific evidence that probiotics help. Prebiotics likely do, however.
I think these health and nutrition influencers who have lent their names to supporting this product should be ashamed of themselves. There is just too much wrong with this that they should have noticed. It gets a few things right, but way too many fails.
Nothing against the company. I did not even know which way I would come down on this until I got to their complexes.

    • @aaronb7990
      @aaronb7990 Месяц назад +2

I used to think there could be issues, and then I realized it won't matter. If there is bad weather, they just won't drive. If the cams are obstructed, they will need cleaning. People drive out into crazy weather and get in accidents, take their and others lives and destroy property left and right. I think that the robo taxi will have none of that and only drive when appropriate and safe.
It could also be equipment related conditions that determine a cars availability. Having a car that will be performing duty in freezing temperatures may mean the operator has to have studded tires as an example. Something not every car owner may have but that could be required for a service.
I have seen many options for the basic servicing of the fleet, from having dedicated service crews to having a 'rewared' system to remedy issues. For example, a robo Tesla pulls into a charging stall and propositions one of the other on-site Tesla App users to plug it in for a rewared. If they say no, it asks the next user. Same could be applied for other basics like camera cleaning and washer fluid addition.

While the non EV crowd need to be better educated on true EV possibilities the EV people in large Urban areas need to be better educated on the real life situations in more rural areas, especially up north. Both groups need to try to walk a mile in the other persons shoes, instead of thinking their shoes work everywhere.

For 54 years I never had problems with but today also some idiots drive around in tank mode with all snow on the top also and putting in danger themselves and others. So whenever needed clean with a brush first and as you do not pollute environment letting an ICE engine run, pre-heat any electric cars cabin. Then winter is easy but even better having a garage and drive to a garage😂 I usually charge in 10 Seconds my Kia EV6 AWD which does perfect in snowy weather and a always have 21°C in the cabin and clear windows🤔😎🤪

Per recent comments by you on this channel FSD v 12 is not expected to roll out soon for 2024 models. (Excuse if I didn’t state that correctly). I’m a potential first time Tesla buyer. I went to my local Tesla service center to do a test drive. I asked if there was any news about a rollout of v 12. On my first visit they knew nothing. I returned the second day ( yesterday) to test drive a different model. They recognized me from the day before and were very excited to tell they had gotten an email the evening before that from now on all models would get v12 when ordered.
Can you please comment on this in your next video?

The anti-EV and anti-renewable energy FUD in Maine has been ramping up steadily over the last few years. As for the EPA board voting down the new vehicle pollution controls, it came under pressure not just because many are against EVs but because Mainers hated the idea of being forced to buy something they didn't want. That's not what the regulations actually proposed, but that was definitely lost in the noise.

Dillan, In regards to Maine rejecting their electric vehicle mandate, You say, "we need a lot more education." Yes, of course we need my education and it is going help a lot, but what we really need to make EV's ubiquitous is not more laws mandating EV's, but more Charging Stations, and Repair Centers. If you want to pass EV laws, then it would be wise to tie in more chargers and repair shops.
Elon already said this. He said, Tesla found that they cannot sells cars where there are no chargers or repair centers. Tesla is going to invest its money where they get the best return and that is where there are the most people. We need a supercharger and a reasonable way to repairs EV's in every town, just like there is a gas station in every town.
Along with the high prices and interest rates, I think limited charging stations, and limited repair centers is the real problem, and real reason EV sales are slow. It amazes me that ICE manufactures think they can sell cars without charging stations, and repair centers in place.
Battery size wouldn't be an issue if we had superchargers in as many places as we do gas pumps. Think about it. You'd just get in your EV and go, knowing you can just pull in for 5 or 10 min anywhere and get a charge if you need it, the same way you do with an ICE vehicle now.
The ICE manufactures have hurried to put out EV's, and many of their dealers have no technicians to repair them, and there are few if any independent mechanic shops to repair them, so buyers are locked into getting their vehicles fixed by the expensive dealers of ICE manufactures that don't really support their EV's.
Right now Tesla has done well with superchargers covering the freeway routes and is rapidly improving big city coverage, but not so good at covering highways and especially not covering small towns. I live in Sedona AZ, and there is one set of 72 KW Urban Tesla chargers 30 min away in the town of VOC. I often need to travel to Cottonwood which is 30 min away, and Prescott which is 90 min away and there are no superchargers in either of them. My family is in Utah and I travel from Arizona to visit them. It would be challenging to make the trip in an EV, especially if I want to venture off and see some sights along the way, which I do in the West as it has such beautiful scenery.
Dillan, I appreciate that you and other influencers on social media who cover EV's, push forward the EV revolution in a positive way, but I would ask that you expand your perspective, and talk in an inclusive way about the areas where EV's don't make sense yet, and encourage those who can change this to start doing it, like legislatures and manufactures.
I love EV's more that ever and I wanted to buy an Tesla 6 years ago when I was in the market to buy a new vehicle, and ended up buying a Chevy Volt instead, because I couldn't get around in areas I wanted to travel in the West with an EV. I have loved the Volt, and traveled the West in it, but it's battery is failing and the dealer near me doesn't have a mechanic who works on Volts and so I have to go to the dealer 90 min away and they charge a fortune to repair it. It is at the end of it's warranty and I can't even give it to my kids or friends, because warning lights keep coming on and shutting the system down, and there is no way to reasonably repair it. My Volt is a 2018, and its dependability is so low that it has no value to me.
I am now in the market again to buy an new Vehicle, and they quit making the Volt. The nearest Tesla repair shop is two hours away and the charging infrastructure has not improved in the town and place I travel to, so I can't get a Tesla.
Now, with huge regrets, I will likely end up going back to buying an ICE vehicle and get it from the leader in EV opposition, Toyota. I'm looking at buying the soon to be released 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser that gets a whooping 23 MPG, up from 14 MPG. What joke! It's so sad to think that I'll be buying such outdated technology and filling it with polluting fossil fuel, and my decision is based on lack of charging infrastructure and repairability.
So there is a lesson here, and Dillan, you can help. Be an advocate of Superchargers and repair shops in every town, not just big cities and be more understanding to those that can't yet justify buying an EV yet. Don't just say we need a lot more education. When 84% vote against something, there is a reason. Sure it has a lot to do with education, and negative lobbying, but they are mostly correct in saying the problems facing EV's have not be solved yet in towns outside of big cities.
    Dillan,
Thank you for all the amazing positive work you do. I watch all your videos. You try so hard to do what's right and I really appreciate it. Keep up the good work! I'm with you!

There are still too many charger desert locations throughout the country, just look at Tesla SC locations map for proof. Current battery technology and chargers layout are not optimized for towing. Apartment dwellers aren't adequately served with Lvl 1/2 charging. We need a lot more fast chargers in urban areas. Until the average drivers can see that these needs are met, they simply won't convert. And governments shouldn't impose a half-baked policy unless the public can embrace it.
