How to Connect Roku to a Wi-Fi Network Without Internet

Trying to stream to your Roku without an internet connection?
I installed a Roku TV in my RV so I could stream from my phone or laptop while camping in areas without an internet connection. It didn't work at first. Roku will not let you connect to a wifi network if there is not any internet.
I found a workaround to make this happen anyway.

My hotspot box ran out of data so I figured I would just mirror my cell but would not connect without Internet now I got to look up making local connections lol

I recently lost my ISP and, of course, all my streaming channels with it.
I have Roku speakers. They worked fine with my DVD player after I lost internet service until today.
They stopped working after I mirrored my android phone to my TCL Roku TV.....I can notice figure out how reconnect them without internet. Any suggestions? Thanks

It was working now its not i don't have home Internet so i use hotspot it was working then i take my phone with me to the store and now the phone internet want connect no more

OK. So I have to buy a router then give it the same name and password as my home system?
My home internet won't connect but I have excellent signal. Told I need to re-wire. So I've been trying to figure out how I can use my phone's wifi to connect Roku.
I may have to study this much more!

You should be able to login to your home router if you have a good signal. Otherwise, you need to set up a hotspot on your phone. One way or another you need the Roku connected to a network with internet to set it up.

I had a similar problem. Turning on my phone's mobile hotshot allowed me to watch one movie on my smart TV from my phone..lol
I found out that unlimited streaming is not the same as an unlimited hotshot.
I finally solved it by enabling smart view on my android device. If you have apple, it's probably called something different.
I would suggest not wasting your Hotspot data. 3MB don't last long. You'll need internet access to set up you're connections....hope that made sense.
