Thanks for the review Rob. I have stumbled on these multiple times on various sites, but did not see a convincing review yet. I must say, it looks like a very well built, no-nonsense approach to the classic automatic dive watch. Very nice to see that the thickness is quite acceptable for an ISO certified watch, and the bracelet looks very nice. The clasp is typically Seiko, but that’s no issue to me, I always found the Prospex clasp to be very comfortable. I might pick one up!
I own this watch as well as a Orient Triton and a Orient Mforce Bravo. The Triton and Mforce Bravo have the power reserve and has the same movement as the Orient Saturation diver. This new Orient Mforce is very nice diver but I do think the Mforce Bravo and Triton are better watches with a better movement.
I'm about to buy one of these....after initially deciding on the black dial....I think I'm going to go Red. I have a ton of black watches and this Red colour is so iconic to Orient it feels right to get this one.
These M-force models are criminally overlooked. Yes it's a sizeable watch but it wears smaller than 45mm. Quality and build is a step up from the Kamasu, Kano and Triton plus this one has ISO certification. Movement is also beefed up and is protected internally so a bit like an automatic gshock.
Hi. I have the same model but in a different colour and I am concerned about one thing when pulling the crown out, the first jump is to set the date, the second is to set the time/indicator and here everything is ok. The problem is when I push the crown in and then it does not stop on the date but immediately points to where it was immediately after unscrewing it. Of course there is a perceptible moment where the date is set but it is very delicate and you have to press gently, or pull back, to set the date again. In other watches I have these "jumps" put the same resistance in both directions please write if you also have this maybe this model has it so. Best regards.
I prefer my Seiko Tuna Quartz 300M. I know it costs more than that watch. I don't like the asymmetry of the guard. The overall watch is nice for sure and like you say Rob at that price point....but the Tuna of me. I have the 033 with stainless bezel but other variants are nice and mechanical movements can be had in the Tuna as well. I prefer quartz for accuracy.

It's a hell of a watch if you can put up with the large size extremely well built

Orient watches are amazing
Reminds me of a Seiko Tuna a bit with the crown guard off - looks good I think 🤷♂️
With better quality control i'd bet
The M-Force looks great

That red dial drew me in from the start.
I love that one. If 8 was still diving, I would probably have to get it. But…..
Orient 70th Anniversary Diver's beautiful
despite the slightly unsightly holes I really do like the shape better without the crown guard
Diggin it, just to big for me. Started my collection with the Orient divers, love and wear um all.
One of my fav watches
Nice looking watch.
Hour and minute hands overhanging and covering each other !
I have a red one,it is good.
Great watch!
Very nice watch 👍
Its amazing 💪
I far prefer it without the crown guards. Do the bolts screw all the way back in without the guards or do they stick out??
Thank my friend nice watch its realy strong ?
Yo this is a great Seiko Tuna Alternative in my opinion.
The ugly firend.
