That red dial is fantastic. I would pit this up against the tuna for me.
One year ago i bought the MForce Beast with a black face, like the ruby-faced version in this video. I have not regretted the purchase for one second. These are the features that sold the watch to me even though I had neverbefore heard of Orient:
Excellent lume(read a comment that the lume was good. later confirmed)
24 mm lugs
drilled lugs
crown at 9 o'clock (excellent feature)
crown guards
sapphire crystal (keeps looking new)
ISO rated shock resistant
ISO rated water resistance
ISO rated anti-magnetic
uses the same movement as its bigger and much more expensive brother
hackable
handwindable
power reserve meter (MUCH more useful than i had thought)
After i post this comment i will probably remember a feature or two i forgot to list.
I have to say this is the largest watch I have ever worn, and easily the heaviest, still, it is also the most comfortable mass I have ever worn. I believe the smooth case back and 24 mm bracelet work to carry this watch very comfortably. I wear it to bed often and the size and weight are never an issue with comfort.
The MForce Beast is an exceptional value.

I haven't worn my red Beast in a minute ! I'm going to get her right now, give her some wrist time. I got mine direct from Orient and they were doing a buy one, get one free, and came with a nice mechanical ladies watch with a gorgeous blue, yes Marc, BLUE dial. Gave it to a girl that broke my heart. I WANT MY WATCH BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good friend has one and the weak spot is the retaining pins on the bracelet. Because the bezel somehow becomes difficult to move that the paint on the bezel numbers have completely faded and difficult to read

So cool to see my watch in this video. I've had my m force for over a year and so far all I've done is buy an aftermarket bracelet for it because the standard one is very cheaply made. The case, dial, and movement for this watch are so high quality for the price point it truly deserves to wear a higher quality bracelet. I'm very satisfied.

I am only finding Orient M-Force watches with a plastic looking black or grey crown guard on them instead of seeing the metal crown guard with Red Indicator. Is this new for all the models or can these be taken off to show the metal crown guard?

I like the red dial but not the lefty crown. Was hoping for high beat movement at that price point.

Yes, all M-force are ISO certified.

Sort of. Like all/most autos, the mainspring simply spins in the barrel when its reached full wind, so you cannot overwind it.
I like what Orient has done with these; it looks like incredible value for money. If I were a serious diver I might pick one up. However, as I'm scared of deep water it might be a little too garish for everyday wear. Do you plan to review the Ray 2 or have you already?

No. All M-Force are Made in Japan. I just like to drive home the point.

I was confused on that, because in the video you state "because it starts with an S we know immediately its made in japan" . I was thinking any M-Force watch not having a model number starting with an S meant it was not made in japan.

Question? Wouldn't a "serious" dive watch need to be more than 200M diver? Regardless of the ISO cert for shock, temp, electromagnetic, etc.... 200M is pretty deep, but my Orient Mako and Ray (thx Marc) are 200M's.
200 Meter is all most people need for SCUBA. 300M is usually for saturation/mixed gas diving, something very few people do.

It's minor. How often is your crown out?
Almost never, but when I do take it out it's reassuring to have a nice sturdy feeling crown. Just one of those small touches that go a long ways for me. Just a personal preference.

Have 2 seiko and 1 M-Force, definitely orient m force has a better quality compare to seikos. Also more precise, only mis around 3 minutes every weeks, while seiko woild lost around 7 minutes

The day's of over paying for Rolex and Omega are long gone. Japanese have always been proud and excellent Craftsmen. The guy with Benz the range Rover and the Rolex is just fronting. Me myself I'm good with the Lexus, Chevy and orient just saying. My stuff cost less, is better quality, looks better and perform better go orient. Please don't reply with the America stuff. These look great but most as in 95% of scuba divers use dive computers and not watches. These are cool but not really relevant for today's dive community. I have several serious dive watches but there more about fashion and not function.
