I work as a Cyber Analyst at a Healthcare company . Started as a HD tech with just an associates and got moved up . Yes healthcare is extremally important just like any other location.
Would really love if you did a video on hacking operating systems most especially Kali Linux and Arch Linux And also explain more on what a security analyst does e.g tools, methods and how everything is done on a daily basis 😊
Getting a job at a three letter agency as a civilian is easier with less experience, but contracting takes less time with the trade off of requiring more experience. And also have to consider polygraphs on top of a the security clearance
I would love to have a contract with security consulting firm. I'm studying for my certs now and plan to work for a consulting firm. Sounds like you can really develop your skills with a consulting firm. Healthcare would be my second choice.
Hi, how do I find a cyber security consulting firm? After joining your channel and watching Al videos, I decided to change careers and get into cyber security. I start my Boot Camp on May 10th and I am exited.
Hi sandra i like the content you make it is really informative and helpful in a lot of ways, i need your opinion on persuing masters in Cybersecurity. So here is my question should i do a master of cybersecurity or go for master of information technology with Cybersecurity major?
I was told there is a 2 year backlog for getting a secret or top secret clearance because of COVID. There may be some speed to that if you're highly experienced but I would be cautious applying to jobs where they want you to obtain the clearance in 6 months, because it's going to be longer than that.
Would be good to highlight the restrictions of those government jobs, explaining the requirements to get security clearance would help (e.g. US CITIZENSHIP)
I don't have any Cybersecurity exp but when I apply for a job they want people already experience on the job, where can i start to get my foot in the industry. (i already have college and certificate)
With College.. I’m sorry it may be too late to take advantage of several programs schools have with respect to internship OR training programs sponsored by companies collaborating with the school. Unfortunately, some certificate means nothing, it only means you can read and understand, it doesn’t prove skills.. if you have selected practical/hands-on sector of cyber security, learn 1. rudiments of Operating System 2. Basic Networking 3. Basic System Administration skills 4. Basic info on Cloud If you diligently do all this, you can state in a resume and can be invited to interview. Simply stating College degree and certification only checks one aspect of getting a job
Network Infra, software engineering. Usuallypeople don't start off in sec but rather changes over as you need a variety of skills ranging from hardware, network, OS etc. Been in Network before moving sec myself.
@mk m very good question: As someone who has interviewed over 50+ aspiring cyber security professionals, 60% of my assessment is based on NON TECHNICAL SKILLS of the individual. Skills can be learn on-the-job. That being said, if you have OSCP, can you talk to me without being technical? If I ask you to switch between low or high level pen testing discussion, can you cope? These are the things employers look for.
I’m currently working at my associates in IT I’m 19 in college currently a year a while from my associates. I am working on growing skills in cyber security. Any advice on things I should do while I’m in school 🏫.
I’d assume the same, though there may be less corporate style companies, any company with a need to protect their information will need good cyber security personnel, especially when dealing with finance, government, or healthcare!

Hey Sandra! Do Soc Analysts or any other cybersec titles mid level get stocks from companies they work for?
I work as a Cyber Analyst at a Healthcare company . Started as a HD tech with just an associates and got moved up . Yes healthcare is extremally important just like any other location.

I think you should start a practical sessions on cyber security tools. Explaining topics like privilege escalation web application vulnerability etc.,
Yes that would be really awesome
I second this
Getting a job at a three letter agency as a civilian is easier with less experience, but contracting takes less time with the trade off of requiring more experience. And also have to consider polygraphs on top of a the security clearance
I am super determined to get a cybersecurity job this year!

Not true . I got a secret clearance in 2 months
Would be good to highlight the restrictions of those government jobs, explaining the requirements to get security clearance would help (e.g. US CITIZENSHIP)
Healthcare doesn't care so much about security. You would think in a regulated industry that security would be a higher priority.
I don't have any Cybersecurity exp but when I apply for a job they want people already experience on the job, where can i start to get my foot in the industry. (i already have college and certificate)
