To be fair, Homelander could’ve easily lifted it. He was just judging the physics of lifting it (whether he’ll push through the hull, if he could even actually fly it with nothing to push off of to accelerate, etc.).
The only issue here is momentum and material. Homelander couldnt stop the plane because it had too much momentum and too fragile a construct for him to actually grab on. The plane would crumble before he was able to glide it to safety. The skyscraper was static before Tightan grabbed it, and it presumably had a very durable structure other than simple engineering due to countless sheninigans Megamind has been pulling for decades. He can’t just use super speed to learn immediately because he wouldn’t know what it sounds like, so he is forced to wait and listen. @@averageboi2708maybe you need to rewatch it. Homelander can easily beat metroman by encasing him in a copper shell. In the movie he dies because the copper weakens him, like kryptonite.
I love sleeper character scaling. First they seem meme worthy, then the scaler pulls a panel from a comic I've never even heard of and flags them as multi-continental.
In the scene where Megamind is talking to metroman in front of a crowd, there is a SINGLE FRAME where metro man fades for a bit, in that frame he does everything you later see him do in the flashback to that moment.
Another thing about metro man is the insane amounts of *control* he has over his powers. He can literally walk on water and the fact that he was high fiving all those people without even bruising them shows how much he can control his strength
that's one sort of control...but I wonder if he can do stuff like vibrating at the right frequency to go through solid material, while leaving it intact, like the flash...he clearly has enough power/speed, but does he have enough control? also I think he must shave himself with laser-eyes, given how his hair survived perfectly fine from the explosion he was standing kinda in the middle of, while his stubble grew back pretty fast, implying the hair is basically burn-proof, and most likely cut-proof, but still cut of course he also juggled with the babies and then threw them back correctly, and whatnot, and during his superspeed-reflection, he carefully took the kite from a kid's hands (and presumably returned it), etc...
Another thing: based on the fact that when Metroman moved (in his crisis) he left behind individual colors, that implies he was going so fast that he was splitting the light rays in the areas themselves. Might be wrong but still cool
You have to know that the death ray was only taking in the side of the sun that was actually facing earth, meaning that 91 petaton per second is functionally 45.5. Whats even funnier than that is that Metroman, even with that massive nerf, would be able to put Homelander in a pinewood box before Homelander's neurons could fire to react to his attack.
on top of that unless megamind was using some form of Dyson array to concentrate more light onto the satellite its output can only be equal to the comparatively minuscule light energy that was directly hitting the satellite over its charging sequence. as such i think we can safely chalk megaminds "full concentrated power of the sun" up to hyperbole. therefore i would say the attack does not exceed small town level in potency
@@jangle.64 Honestly, its more " The full concentrated power of the light that reach the satellite from the sun". The explosion make sense if so. If its literally what it says, The Earth would be destroyed having that kind of energy focused and hitting it.
The actual explosion looks to be more on the scale of kilotons, megatons if we're being super generous but it has to be small enough to not threaten Metro City from the observatory's island location. Megamind saying the death ray has the full concentrated power of the sun is obvious hyperbole, he's a performer just like Metroman and putting on a show, not everything he says can be taken literally when it contradicts the movie.
Him saying that it didn’t blow up the entire city because it’s concentrated is just dumb, energy is energy doesn’t matter how concentrated you make it. So if what he said was true, there would be a crater the size of Europe in its place, not just a few tnts worth of fire.
@@lifelesshawk5725 That isn't true, just because an attack CAN do something doesn't mean it will everytime it is used, like for example, goku could probably blow up earth with a single Kamehameha but he doesn't because he CONTROLS the power of it as not to blow up the planet and kill everyone.

Not just one book. A STACK of books. If we assume that at least a few of them, if not all, we self help books, with self help books often presenting complicated topics and levels of philosophy, we have to assume that he also read books on related topics and on understanding philosophical topics because Metroman is apparently “not very smart”. That’s a lot of time reading from his perspective. Some argue that he even read the entire library he was in.
I can't believe powerscalers somehow found the DNA ratio of a single dandruff to a whole entire human just to prove how overpowered Metroman is... Powerscalers are on a whole entire level of dedication. Also yeah Tighten would have been a better comparison against Homelander than Metro Man. Though now this begs the question, how would Megamind fare against The Boys universe?
4:18 Major correction here. You do NOT need to reach escape velocity to go to space. So long as you can continue to apply force greater than that of the gravitational pull, you can go to space. Rockets do not go mach 33 to get to space. Escape velocity is how fast you need to be going, with no further force applied, to reach a distance where the earths gravitational pull is no longer significant enough to pull you back. Absolutely massive difference
you prob would have to go that fast if you planned to escape with no extra added velocity after becoming airborne, like in a single jump, but since homelander and metroman can fly that seems kinda pointless to do
@@ambi_cc8464you’re 100% right. Escape velocity is the speed an object would have to reach to essentially jump from the surface of earth to outside of earths gravity well. The entire concept of it goes completely out the window when you’re applying an outside force such as a rockets engines or however a superhero flies
See what sticks out to me is that, while Metro Man is having his mid-life crisis between frames...he's able to leisurely turn the pages of a book. That book page should be moving at speeds that would at minimum shred the page. This requires either a tactile TK field like Superman has, or it requires his super speed to actually be *time dilation* .
Considering that titan was able to hold an entire building without the small part he was holding onto break off, it's safe to assume that Metroman indeed has Tactile telekinesis like superman.

the average animated film's framerate is 24 per second, metroman was gone for one of those, in the first half of the film, to take a few days or weeks to have a midlife crisis, it would take less than that amount of time for him to throw homelander at the sun

Metroman went on a journey of self discovery in one single frame I think that narrows it down. He is like a train on steroids combined with homelander.
One thing about Metroman's speed: For him to have spent hours in superspeed in the course of a millisecond, he would have to have such control over the molecules in his body that would prevent all of Metrocity from exploding as he's going superspeed. Omni-Man destroyed an alien city by flying at extreme speeds. Metroman went even faster than that, and was able to stop Metrocity from exploding too.
actually, depends e.g. the flash has some sort of field that keeps him and anyone/thing he's carrying, safe, superman has a similar, but a lot weaker field, which also protect outsiders (e.g. when the flash runs by at a casual 500 mph there's no giant vacuum effect after him, which even a normal lorry would have, sort of, he just has some dust) who's to say metroman doesn't have a similar "magic" field, that just automatically protects stuff from accidentally exploding because he sneezed at mach 5, lol
Metroman was never bloodthirsty. You could only imagine what he would do in a serious fight. I was hoping we would see that in megamind 2 but i guess we will never witness the true power of his kind
both he and megamind are pure souls even megamind, despite having been in prison LITERALLY all his life, and bullied all his time at school, and building weapons of mass destruction, and breaking buildings and stuff, never exactly kills anyone (that we know of, e.g. even exploding the monument, he picked the time that pretty much nobody else was actually there, and even if people died, he at least minimized it), he doesn't even hurt people much, he just does psychological terrorizing, and even that as a bit of a joke, and a bit of freeze gun-ing, which seems pretty painless (only complaint is it being an unpleasant experience, which is fair enough, imagine being suddenly turned to a cube and then back, lol) they also both understood their neverending dance, and having no other real purpose, just megamind is still happy to invent more ways to try to win, but metroman is finally bored and yeah I think full power is probably enough to destroy like entire planet or solar system do note that he has always been super privileged right kid, so can be assumed to be pretty high above the average power level too, likely pumped up all sorts of buffs and steroids in the baby-pod to be extra strong
A human with metromans powers lifted most of a skyscraper and metroman himself has his insane speed feat. If he punched with that amount of force at that speed, he’d kill most characters that aren’t literal gods. Homelander would realise he’s outclassed and run away to have a panic attack.

@@Captian_Jin No camera can be FTL. It literally needs light to function.. Hek, It cant even come close to one percent of the speed of light because doing so, The working components need to be at least at that speed. And Thats the speed of electrons.

This dude literally resolved a mid life crisis in the blink of an eye, coming up with a strategy is no way harder than that.

This is why spaceships don't go mach 33 Also, you don't need to reach escape velocity to reach space, you need to reach escape velocity to escape earth's gravity and reach another object with gravity stronger than earths
I feel like people constantly forget that Homelander is NOT indestructible, and also has zero skill at fighting an equal to himself, that part being a VITAL detail to his story. 8:55 That's not how power works at that scale. At low scales, the diffusion can be relatively harmless. At that scale of power, the diffusion is an enormous nuclear bomb-eclipsing blast. Another thing: based on the fact that when Metroman moved (in his crisis) he left behind individual colors, that implies he was going so fast that he was splitting the light rays in the areas themselves. Might be wrong but still cool
So called fracturing

Escape velocity is the speed an object would have to reach to essentially jump from the surface of earth to outside of earths gravity well. which essentially more relevant if you're sprinting that fast, then gravity will no longer adhere you to the surface of the planet.

Metroman went even faster than that, and was able to stop Metrocity from exploding too.
actually, depends
e.g. the flash has some sort of field that keeps him and anyone/thing he's carrying, safe, superman has a similar, but a lot weaker field, which also protect outsiders (e.g. when the flash runs by at a casual 500 mph there's no giant vacuum effect after him, which even a normal lorry would have, sort of, he just has some dust)

Metroman was never bloodthirsty. You could only imagine what he would do in a serious fight. I was hoping we would see that in megamind 2 but i guess we will never witness the true power of his kind
both he and megamind are pure souls
even megamind, despite having been in prison LITERALLY all his life, and bullied all his time at school, and building weapons of mass destruction, and breaking buildings and stuff, never exactly kills anyone (that we know of, e.g. even exploding the monument, he picked the time that pretty much nobody else was actually there, and even if people died, he at least minimized it), he doesn't even hurt people much, he just does psychological terrorizing, and even that as a bit of a joke, and a bit of freeze gun-ing, which seems pretty painless (only complaint is it being an unpleasant experience, which is fair enough, imagine being suddenly turned to a cube and then back, lol)
they also both understood their neverending dance, and having no other real purpose, just megamind is still happy to invent more ways to try to win, but metroman is finally bored
and yeah I think full power is probably enough to destroy like entire planet or solar system
do note that he has always been super privileged right kid, so can be assumed to be pretty high above the average power level too, likely pumped up all sorts of buffs and steroids in the baby-pod to be extra strong
A human with metromans powers lifted most of a skyscraper and metroman himself has his insane speed feat. If he punched with that amount of force at that speed, he’d kill most characters that aren’t literal gods. Homelander would realise he’s outclassed and run away to have a panic attack.

I feel like people constantly forget that Homelander is NOT indestructible, and also has zero skill at fighting an equal to himself, that part being a VITAL detail to his story. Homelander is hopeless against anyone as tough as him, because he doesn't know how to fight without relying on his powers.
Yea when butcher came kinda close to his level in season 3 he fled the fight
@@cantinadudes Also in the comics, he is killed by a version of Black Noir that is literally just a crazier clone of him. In the show, he just holds all the immoral nature of Noir, but not quite the same crazy
Honestly, by the time you got back to Homelander, I had completely forgotten he was even a topic in the video.
I never realized just how unbelievably OP MetroMan was until I started watching videos like this, so yeah, this is what I expected. Good video, I've never seen this many concrete numbers on his strength so that's helpful.
Homelander could knock down a skyscraper, but Metroman could pick it up and throw it into space.
Metroman casually being the most broken character in existance.
the fact this is all lowballed as well because nobody can determine his durability and power level
That would be wukong but metro man is definitely way tf up there
Mid fodder
Nah metro man aint shit compared to giorno
@@cantinadudes I doubt that. Metro man is basically superman without a weakness.
People don't even realize that metro man doesn't even need to be the one to fight homelander. Megamind can just turn into him lol
The homelander glazing is crazy metroman could be fighting him and still have time to go get a pedicure and grab some lunch
Damn metro was so fast he did everything in a second
Metro man can pause an online game 😭
17 minute video just to explain that metro man can go faster than him, and therefore punch him faster.
Homelander vs Metro Man is like an ant vs a marvel celestial
8:55 That's not how power works at that scale. At low scales, the diffusion can be relatively harmless. At that scale of power, the diffusion is an enormous nuclear bomb-eclipsing blast.
Like, energetic matter explodes. If you put continent-destroying power into a location, you're getting a continent-destroying explosion.
Homelander gets horrifically blitzed, Homelander best speed feat was moving at High Hypersonic and Metroman was casually able to make a sun beam look slow in comparison, Metro Man is a 100,000x faster than Homelander and He is also superior to Tighten who can toss a big chunk of a skyscraper and can casually laser entire City Blocks
Chances are that he's even stronger since he's never really tried. Also, megamind's reaction speed is ftl due to his ability to look at metroman in a ship moving faster than a black hole. Metroman was so fast megamind doesn't notice him in the billboard because everything is slowed down.
@@daniellejackson6543 Megamind even reacted to Tighten heat vision which are FTL, and he was a statue to Metro Man
@@justsomeguywholovesberserk6375 then again the whole concentrated power of the sun thing makes sense except that megamind is good at lying. He could have said that to boost himself. He is a man of presentation.
@@justsomeguywholovesberserk6375he reached to titan moving his head lmao
@@daniellejackson6543he could see the ship cause they were going at the same speed lmao
*Insert Metro Man getting smacked with objects by Homelander*
The one of the few not biased Goji-Chronic's scalings.
Homelander flying to space doesn't mean he reached escape velocity 🤦♂️
It just means he went above 100km
Metro man could throw a building if he wanted. He is the fastest Superman-like hero. And he has other powers that homelander doesn't.
9:00 That's... that's not how energy dissipation works.
6:00 ok I'm not a geneticist, but the fact that its dandruff dna shouldn't have any impact on how potent the dna is. Unless the dna has been degraded or destroyed in some way, it should be fine.
Asking who would win is like asking “a 9 yo Fortnite kid or Mike Tyson, who wins?” 💀
Metro Man could literally destroy the world JUST BY WALKING.
9:11 actually for the power of laser we can make by calvulsting the energy required to set in flame air. Because thats what was that explosion
Air and earth vaporizing
Bro metro man is hella fast that he wanted to pause off and be a music man 😂
