I have horses also and every now and then they find a way to injure themselves. Seeing Bella,, I would also be so worried! Such a large horse can be hard to work on ! Bella is a real sweety allowing you to work on her while she is in so much pain! Prayers go out to you all asking for healing!

Peroxide STINGS!!! I would NEVER use it on a horse. I believe it is a danger for the horse and the person trying to administer it!

Ok .. I see she has over run heels .. bare foot horses should be heel trimmed down to the sole plane because the heel have more surface space and grow inwards causing problems the bars are also probably curled over causing pressure that may cause bad abscess.. the bars should be straight not mashed down / curled over check that .. a balanced trim and a dry hay diet .. cut out all feeds in bags will give your horse hard rock crushing hooves .. no Alfalfa or rye.. just grass hay ..
