Jenny is an amazing young lady. It’s lovely to see how the Wonky Donkey Centre has grown. Hearing about the great work Jenny, her family, and volunteers are doing and plans for the future is inspiring. Thank you, Dr. Scott, for taking us along on your visit.
Jenny what a great thing you do for the donkeys . Dr. Scott, you are so sensitive to all animals. I love that! I think donkeys are overlooked many times, and are not treated as they should be. Thank you to all for caring for these animals❤
Jenny and her family are such wonderful people doing a fabulous thing 👏🏻. I remember when you visited them before after the bombing and the video was on vet on the hill. Such a horrific thing to go through, as was Jenny’s initial illness but the wonderful sanctuary was started as a result of that illness so something good came from such adversity. Donkey are such gorgeous animals 🫏❤️ and they are all so lucky to now have a wonderful forever home being loved and looked after by a wonderful team of people 👏🏻🧡. I hope the indoor centre happens and brings some real benefits to those with autism and everyone else who visit ❤️
What a lovely place for gorgeous donkeys 🫏❤ An amazing thing for someone so young to do to set up a sanctuary for rescued animals and dedicate her life to providing the donkeys with a wonderful place to live their lives having all the care and love they deserve 👏🏻🫏🧡. Jenny, her family and all the volunteers who help are incredible people 👏🏻. It’s very obvious that Jenny is doing what she loves and the donkeys can sense that and give the affection back. Developing an indoor area for autistic / disabled people to enjoy the donkeys is such a great idea and will be such a lovely thing for them so they can see the donkeys all year round and not be affected by the weather. A very inspirational lady ❤️
I look so forward to ur stories every week! What an amazing young lady Jenny is and also an inspiration! Thanks for sharing. Much love from Louisville Kentucky USA❤
I was just a kid, trying to read every book in the library, when I came across a number of stories about ranchers/miners traveling the American west with their donkey companions. I was fascinated, still am, with the donkey's ability to form incredible bonds with their human friends. Very intelligent, loving, perceptive animals.
What a wonderful place they have made there and how kind they all are. I notice also how tidy and well kept the sanctury is, everything is so well looked after.
Hi Dr. Scott, great to see this Donkey Centre and the work they do to help all of those Donkey's. Jennie's story is really amazing with how the Donkey's helped her heal from her traumatic experiences.
Dr, Scott, thank you for shining a spotlight on this amazing sanctuary, Jenny, her family , and all the volunteers are an incredible group of people and deserve all the support!
I call my rescue dog, Gigi, my wonkey donkey as, after 6 previous years of neglect and hardship prior to her"adopting me", she has become her uniquely quirky, sweet and loving self! A perfect name for these real wonkey donkeys!! A beautiful story and sanctuary xxx
My husband and I love donkys. It is wonderful what the Wonkey Donkey Centre does. Everybody is so giving and have hearts of gold. Thanks Dr. Scott for making this video! Love from southern California (near Los Angeles.)
It is soup for the soul to see the beautiful lightworkers which restores one's faith in humanity once again! Dr. Scott may you keep shinning your light with and on all the wonderful people and rescues to the world for many years to come.
Thank you Dr Scott introducing on donkey rescue in Yorkshire. What a beautiful big green centre for forever home of donkeys ❤. Heard before but never seen one 😅 myself. Yes promo rehabilation is a ❤ circle bring comfort to special care patients. Borh gets parties get smoother in ❤ and calmness vise versa. Never except this centre is so well designed, quiet and clean. Token of appreciation goes 😊 to the volunteers and Jenny's mom.
What a fabulous place, lucky donkeys and Jenny is wonderful (perfect name to be a Donkey mum too 😊). I’ll definitely try to visit one day and help support them. ❤
What an absolute trooper Jenny and her family are, what super woman!! Would Jenny think of doing a You Tube channel to help bring in funds? Please give them a big cuddle from me, if I lived near the centre I would have signed up as a volunteer. Good luck Wonkey Donkey Centre, I hope through this video that people can help you out. Those babies are so sweet.
I remember you microchipping that cute baby donky, so so lovely to see Jenny again and hear her uniqe story, what a brave and inspiring girl she is, just listening to her talk about the donkeys makes me smile. Thank you for sharing this special place once again, and those donkeys wow they are just the cutest souls, and I love the thought of Jennys next project 🤞💓
I think she has fibromyalgia/ME... it's exactly as she described... I have them also. The "brain fog" that is characteristic of this condition is really specific in her, but it may be that those few abilities are the ones most noted for her... My writing, spelling, math, and short-term memory were affected. More times than not, this condition is secondary to autoimmune conditions, so I wouldn't be surprised it that's what was going on in her leg... the widespread sensitivity that she described is spot on for me... for many years of my fibromyalgia/ME, it felt very flu-like and hurt to be touched (until I got on the anti-inflammatory diet). What I'm left with today is what feels like my pain threshold has been reduced to zero, where things that never hurt, or hurt very little before, now feel like major trauma. One instance - two weeks ago, I tensed the muscles at the back of my legs 3 times each. I was incredibly sore for 4 days, and it hurt to rest my legs on the couch and bed. It felt like I had leg pressed 5 times my own weight for an hour... Ridiculous things like that! She doesn't seem to have the chronic fatigue that often accompanies fibromyalgia/ME, which is great for her, and the donkeys!
Not a criticism, just an observation. .When meeting a strange horse or donkey, they'll be more receptive if you scratch their forehead, as opposed to the muzzle.
