Hi! Thank you! Those pups are so curious but only one wants to get jump the fence and I have no idea why! The other pups always let me know by sitting at the fence and barking at her… I wish I had 600k but I’m only at 600 😁 which still makes me so happy 😁
Merry Christmas
@@karenshields1878Hello! Merry Christmas to you also! 😁
❤ hometown videos too ❤️😃 thank YOU!
Loved it! Ur so cute too! Miss u!
You ard so funny! About not having netting on both sides to keeo birds out!! 😅😂 The flower garden is gonna be beautiful in the Spring🌹🌷
Those stinkin birds 😂 I can’t wait to see what the garden is going to look like in the Spring 😁
Those flowers are great pollinators for your veggies also! This summer was so stinking hot that I had only flies to pollenate and it was a disaster. I have more flowers and I see the bees now, and I am getting veggies to finally eat! I evicted my granddaughter who doesn't sleep over any more, from her bedroom and turned it into my grow room. I am filling it up with seedlings to plant out later. I am in the low AZ desert, zone 9b!
I love your enthusiasm , excitement and willingness to experiment in the garden! I am learning right along with you! I live on one acre, have a small amount of livestock and I am growing a lot more these days! I ended up with so many plants that had to be divided that I started growing more to sell here in the low AZ desert. I named it after my Aunt and Uncle who had a real working farm back in Massachusetts when I was growing up. I spent many summers enjoying their land. So I named it in their honor, Annie Joe's Plants. I hope that makes them happy! I look forward to what you have next and seeing the progress you are making! Thank you
It was stinkin hot! I am glad you finally get to eat some of your veggies! How exciting to have a nice grow room to start seeds!
@@juneramirez8580 Thank you! I feel like I’m getting better every year. That is a great name to honor your Aunt and Uncle ❤
Great video Jade! So sorry for your loss. 😇🙏❤️ I too am looking forward to starting my seeds. Your winter garden looks GREAT! Hope you have a blessed holiday season. 💙💚💛🧡💜 Liz in California
Hello! 😁 Thank you. The winter garden is so easy, cold but easy. I can’t wait to start seeds also. I just got my first seed catalog yesterday and got so excited to look through it 😂
What month is this? Guessing Dec?
Hi! I posted this video on Jan 30, 2024. Thank you for the question! 😁
@baselinefarm thank you! New subscriber here and excited to learn more about Zone 9 gardening. I'm a new gardener in the same zone as well!
@ This is so wonderful! Thank you for subscribing! I am excited to share my journey in gardening!
I remember the fun of living in a small town!
Awesome video. We have parades here in Abilene, Kansas. I love your videos. Thank you!
Thanks! It’s a lot of fun to participate, glad you enjoyed the video! 😊
@baselinefarm small towns are the best.
Oh, how fun I love that the algorithm brought me to your channel. My hometown had a parade today as well. Wouldn’t that be funny if we are neighbors? 💙💚💛🧡💜Liz
Omg! That would be amazing! 😊
Omy gosh your float is so cute! Good job to the crafty daughter🤩
Thank you! All the kiddos decorated the and they did such a great job! 😊
Hi Jade! First time viewer here. Sorry for your loss❤ I am in Zone 9B. Looks Ike you have a beautiful farm. I put in 32 Vego beds. Mostly because of critters and bind weed. Hardware cloth under entire garden, landscape cloth on top of that. But STILL had a vole eat some potatoes and the bind weed creeping in. Trying to keep that beaten back using vinegar on surrounding areas but gardening sure takes determination! I love how spread out your garden is. I notice you are growing a citrus plant in a pot. Next citrus will have to be in a pot for me too. Our one acre is in city limits and I think the land really should have been tilled once before we tried growing trees. Sorry for the long comment but I am excited to watch another No Calif gardener too! PS. I love your boots Could you share the brand with me? Happy Holidays😊
Thank you for watching and your condolences. Wow! You have a lot of garden beds how exciting! Those critters and weeds are horrible and it does make gardening challenging at times. This is the first year that the Myers lemon tree has given us lemons! It use to be in the ground for years and it never grew lemons but once I placed it in a container it started producing lemons! The boots I wear are by Ariat they are so comfortable and durable. Thank you and Happy Holidays to you also 🎄
I forgot to ask; what town are these containers in? Sacramento?
These containers are near Lincoln/Rocklin area
PS; i heard about goat soap! They say its very good for skin! Cant wait to see your next newest addition😁😎
I heard the same! I can’t wait!
Hi Jade, surprise!i was up going to take pup out for potty break, then back to bed, when i browsed on here & saw you posted They turned out very nice &festive How are the goats doing?? Have a good rest of your week!!😁
Hi! Thank you! How old is your pup? We did not get any goats yet, I am hoping we get some in the spring sometime in April or so. I am going to take the time to collect everything we need… a milk machine and a milking stand. I did see some used milk stands on Facebook marketplace for a reasonable price …
@baselinefarm I still think of her as a pup but she's actually 11yr going on 12! She's a rescue Chihuahua mix
@@socorromolina-sm9vy I feel they will always be our pups no matter how old 😁❤️
HI, couldn't help notice the drip tubing you have in this bed. Would you mind sharing the name/diameter/ style you use and/or where you got it from? It's looks more substantial and wear resistant. Thanks, Also in Zone 9b California.
Thanks for watching. It’s 17mm Netafim drip hose. It’s a commercial product that we get from Siteone but there are probably other distributors. It is much more durable than others that we’ve seen.
Your garden is going to look so nice, I love finding another Nor Cal gardener. It’s more like my climate, I’m in Placer County.
Hello neighbor! Thank you! I love the Fall garden! We are in Placer County as well! 😊
What are you growing in your garden?
Did they ever start sprouting? I am also in zone 9 texas
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! I ALWAYS have to cover my seedlings to keep the birds from eating everything.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! I did end up putting netting over the seeds I planted, I just couldn’t let the birds them 😊 Have a wonderful day
Hi Jade, nice to see you! I know it's still hard to start the day without Bella! She will always hold a special place in your families hearts😢! You know the store spinach tastes bitter to me + you say it's so much better home grown! If only i was a gagardener!😅 I bet you have your hands full with the perniese pup! Hope you have a beautiful Thanksgiving😍🙋♀️ Take care,
Hi! Happy Thanksgiving to you also! I sure do miss Bella, it’s hard to look at her stale and not see her there greeting me..I wish you can taste this spinach, it actually has a sweeter flavor than a bitter flavor. I like the spinach from the market regardless of the bitterness but had I known about this home grown veggies, I would have done this life along time ago. lol..I just had no idea how different everything tasted. Have a great day tomorrow ❤ hope you are having a great fest😊
I have my two horses for 22 years now. They are 25 and 27 years old and I know how they become so important in our lives! Some live to around 45 I have heard. But most don't live that long. Thank you for telling us the story of how your Bella came to you! Bella will always be a part of your farm and live in your hearts forever! Bella's story hits me in a special way because It came as a shock to you, thinking she would heal and finding a different, unexpected outcome. I lost a special horse with that kind of shock to me also. I think that is why Bella's story hits me like it does. When the vet said he had bad news for me, I just thought it would be a big vet bill, NOT the end of her life. You gave her 15 years of the best care and life! I would say that was a job well done. May all your memories of Bella be just good ones from now on! 😢😢😢
Im sure you are still in shock + major mourning with such a huge family loss!💔😢 Thank you for this update, you too take care + be safe! Love & prayers for strength also!🥰
Thank you, yes I am still in shock, she still had so much life in her ❤
Sorry for your loss
Thank you ❤
So very very sorry for your loss
My condolences for your loss! You did everything you could, and took good care of her. Praying for your healing ❤
I’m so sorry
❤
We are so sorry for your loss of Beautiful BELLA. May she RIP with no more pain. SHINE BRIGHT BELLA IN THE NIGHT SKIES FOR ALL TO SEE. In time, you will meet her again.
Thank you so much this means a lot
You gave her a great life and she returned the favor.
So very heartbreaking
I'm so so sorry! It is so hard to lose any animal, absolutely gut wrenching!!! Don't they have Cremation for larger animals????
It never gets easy… they do have cremations for large animals
@ I have heard that poem ❤️
It's awful. Sad.
Sorry for your loss. TY for taking care for Bella. 💞
Thank you so much for your kind words.
So very sorry for your dear Bella's passing. It looks like she was a very gentle loving horse. May your sweet memories of her give you great comfort as you grieve her loss.
Thank you so much, she was the sweetest horse ever.
Ok .. I see she has over run heels .. bare foot horses should be heel trimmed down to the sole plane because the heel have more surface space and grow inwards causing problems the bars are also probably curled over causing pressure that may cause bad abscess.. the bars should be straight not mashed down / curled over check that .. a balanced trim and a dry hay diet .. cut out all feeds in bags will give your horse hard rock crushing hooves .. no Alfalfa or rye.. just grass hay ..
Hi! My name is Chris for my horses Epsom salt soak 15 min twice daily.. but if you’d like to learn why your horse is getting abscess… then on you tube Lindsey Setchell hoof care naturally.. learn all you need to know how to care the right way about your horses hooves and more the Phoenix way 🌈🐎❤
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Watching the footage of her i had an intense sense that Bella's spirit was there. May she always be there in that sense.
I miss her so much, I can still see her standing in her favorite places
May you meet again at Rainbow Bridge.
My heart hurts for you.
Wowoo ❤❤❤❤
I am crying along with you! I am not a vet but I would think she got septic for her to have been in so much pain and not healing. But as hard as it is on us. We have to think about what the animal is going through. I only had to have a vet put down one of my horses after a riding accident and even though it was many years ago, I relive it over and over again in times like this! 😢😢😢😢. My heart goes out to people like yourself because, like me, my animals are family and just because they are old doesn't mean you discard them!!! My second horse was found dead later in the day. He was fine earlier in the day so it was quite a shock. But I didn't have to make that very hard decision to euthanize him! Now I still have two horses in their twenties and each day I don't know what to expect! You did your very best for Bella, you were very gentle with her and although you are feeling pain right now, Bella is at peace without any pain. I could see how her body was reacting. Whatever happened to her hoof it must have spread thought her body, and the girl just couldn't handle it. I bet her age added to it! My prayers are that your grief is short and you remember her lovingly with only good memories of her!!!
Thank you so much for your kind words, I appreciate you taking the time to write this thoughtful comment. ❤ I miss her so much
I have horses also and every now and then they find a way to injure themselves. Seeing Bella,, I would also be so worried! Such a large horse can be hard to work on ! Bella is a real sweety allowing you to work on her while she is in so much pain! Prayers go out to you all asking for healing!
Sorry
Thank you
Thank you for the video jade. I'm pretty sure I have a few pictures of Bella that I will share with you. Btw.. this is ShiLee if you didn't already know
I would love to see them, and thank you ShiLee! 🙏❤
I dont know how long you had Bella, but believe me u feel your pain. When i put my mini pinscher down bc kidney failure in April I too was in your shoes!😢 in time you'll heal but meantime allow yourself to grieve. My prayers for you💔💔🕊🥹
Thank you for your kind words and prayers. It means a lot. She was a part of our family for 16 yrs and was the sweetest girl ever, she loved children and would light up when she saw them, cause she knew treats were coming ❤
