  • This all started with a thrifted find - the black Owl! how fabulous is he? I coupled him with tons of Dollar Tree ribbons... and I mean tons. I truly added up the base spools of black (that i had to go to 3 Dollar Tree stores to get since none of them seemed to have any substantial number of the spools left in stock) ... 10! And... truly... I would have been even happier if I'd had 11. So... 11 spools with 11 10" segments each... 121 pieces of just this one. The other ribbons though were used sparingly throughout... for pops of colour here and there.
I'm not much of a Hallowe'en person (though I have kids that dress up to this day!!!), but this wreath is definitely my speed! It definitely is in keeping with the season without being full on Hallowe'en!!

Love it Cindy! I agree that adding anything else would have detracted from what you have created. My only thought is to do something to make his eyes stand out as he seems to get lost a bit amidst the black…. Curious what the diameter of the wreath is….🙏🏻

Wendy... the finished wreath is about 22" in diameter. I agree about his eyes... I did cut back some of the feathers around them so you can see them but... they are black too!
