I plan on becoming a patron once I figure out what platform I want. I was going to get a Steam Deck but I found out some things I don't care for. I'll probably get a laptop but I'm still saving up so I have some time to figure it out. Keep doing what you are doing.
It's a great game. You can play the first 95 levels for free. Technically you could play the whole game for free because you get lotro points for completing deeds (Like slay 250 wargs for example) and these add up over the many hours to enough to buy the expansions after level 95. So some people get away without ever spending a penny. Tho I recommend subscribing for 1 month and logging into all the characters you ever want to make because there are benefits you get for forever if you log into a character while subscribed. Like swift travel hourse routes unlocked rather than the regular slow-ride between stables.
Lotro always had what any other MMO didn't and that's heart. The way every environment is and land is just amazing. So true to the lore and it feels meaningful like you're actually exploring. Not just a sandbox running around aimlessly doing quests.
@@Dooby0071 a heart.. Yes! So unbelievably true. I’ve played some really high fidelity games in terms of graphical capabilities but they just feel empty because they are lacking just that.. a heart. Well said!
Very well put, i like to think of LOTR as a love letter Tolkien wrote to his fans and LOTRO is the publisher to carry on his imagination of it all. There will never be another game like it.

I sure am glad this game is still around. I've been taking a deep dive learning all I can about the game for when I start playing for the first time. The crafting part of the game really interests me. My first character is definitely going to be a dwarf! Roleplaying is also a must for me.
Thank you for your content and your passion for this game! I can more than agree with you on many of the points - besides the fantastic (handcrafted) world and the great quests, the community plays an outstanding role here! I've played quite a few MMOs, but this community here is really “grown up”.
I played my first char to 35 so far after a 16 year break. And I have a blast! Not just fun a true blast it's so much fun. I like the many quality of life features like autoloot but also the awesome story. Lotro is a truly underrated MMO.
Good to hear your opinion on the game. I've been playing since beta, with breaks here and there of several months, but no game has kept me coming back like LotRO.
Nice video! You mentioned that it has been ages since you read the books. I highly recommend you go back and read them again as you will have a whole new perspective since the game maps and experiences will be in your head at the same time. I'm reading them for the 20th time (don't judge me) and it feels fresh. Strider and the Hobbits just stumbled across the petrified Trolls. The detail of the land leading up to that discovery was clear in my head given that I had spent so much time in the Trollshaws a couple of weeks ago. So cool!
Great video, I love your content. You don’t over do it, or pour out way to much information or talk way too much. Nice and relaxing tone, and I always seem to have one running in the background lately while I’m doing something if I’m not watching directly.
@@Ashock88 this is so heartwarming to hear. I often think I ramble on too much or lose my way with words and sentences but I’m glad some of them are landing atleast!
Old guy here, i just started it for the first time. Im blown away.... its a shame that this game never reached the masses. So far the only thing that shocked me is how in 17 years they never upgraded the UI and the low resolution map systems. Im 100% sure that lots of new players gets filtered just from the UI and maps. It makes no sense whatsoever why they left it like this....
Dude I think you are making a mistake not waiting for Moria to release on Mordor. That anticipation is one of the fun parts of the game. Plus you are not getting the full experience of Mordor. The devs recently said they are doing some adjustments to the Moria instances to make them more difficult and thus you will get the full group experience again instead of soloing them. By skipping ahead you are not getting to see hundreds of people at the 21st Hall etc.
@@glennnorris5208 I fully appreciate where you are coming from as I do plan on playing through it on the legendary server when it launches too. I just got tired of being capped at 50 and wanted to progress on my ever night character ☺️

Great point about flying mounts. That was the biggest mistake WoW devs did to the game.
