Legendary servers are 100% my choice. I have tried for so many years to get into this game. Never made it past level 40. The amount of quests to get to max is just so overwhelming. Whereas on the legendary servers, the content roles out over time. I’m very happy with the system. I got my first class to 50 and have a bunch at mid 20s
Im a first time player for the last couple weeks. Having a blast on the legendary servers. Didn't even mess with the normal one. The vip payment was not too much for me to view it as a fair price to try something out. I play 99% solo. That being said, seeing players all over, many at similar levels makes this game so much better. Love it. Thanks for the great videos friend!

I've tried so many times to get into this game, and it's finally the legendary servers that have hooked me. I just wish they'd sort out the UI! It's taken so much work to get it semi-working on Ultrawide.
A big factor for me, returning to Lotro was the 64bit server tech of the legendary servers. I restarted on Landroval, but then also decided to try Angmar 64bit legendary. It does make a big difference. The absence of crashing and rubber banding was very nice. The devs have stated Angmar will be shut down with a forced transfer back to a classic server once the classic servers have been upgraded to 64bit.
Loving the channel Hazmy :) Lotro is feeling very alive right now! Legendary servers are amazing, although I'm a little sad they're moving to Moria so fast! Feels like a bit of a rush. P.S legendary servers are not classic lotro servers, because the classes/balance/leveling speed is not the same as 2007. This may be confusing for other new players watching

2004 was a good year for games. Bioware game out with my 2nd all time fav NeverWinter Nights in 2002. That game and that era of gaming was very special to me. I love the gfx from that era. Sure compared to now its not aged well at all, but i love it. Sure these old games seem to run on an ancient code of honour, refusing to change with the times, but i like that. That's where i come from as a gamer, my happiest moments as a gamer. LOTRO brings me back to those times where care, love and craftsmanship were poured into games. I like that the old skool games repel modern gamers who only know the triple A gaming industry's constant churning of flashy (but utterly souless) games. In our corner, we remember the times of slow paced plays. We remember when games required us to use our brains, rather than constantly flashing arrows and shiny markers, spoonfeeding us on HOW to play the game. We remember how game immersion wasn't influenced by shiny graphics. We spent time reading books in game, we spent time listening to music in game, and we loved it. Lotro is absolutely wonderful. The devs have kept to Tolkien's vision and made it a reality in the gaming world. The Devs have stuck to the source material vigorously and that's where the charm comes from. Sure it's an old game with "archiac" mechanics and graphics, but don't let that deter you, as the magick lies within. This is the beautiful of old school MMORPGs, or RPGS in general. As a WoW (hoping you have tried classic or even Turtle WoW) player you will appreciate the spell mechanics/queue system in combat, which follows the traditional tried and tested format. Each area in the game is expertly hand crafted with precision and love. The writing, the voice acting, the narrative and pacing of the story is very well done. The music is phenomenal! You may find yourself completely immersed in the beautiful music whilst wandering Middle Earth. I recently made my way to Bree (i'm a new player) and ended up spending about 40mins just chilling there, not doing anything, relaxing to the music in the Tavern, whilst i was smoking a bowl of pipe weed in real life at my computer desk. I can only ever remember my three all time fav games (Fallout New Vegas, Neverwinter Nights and Kingdom Come Deliverance) giving me this relaxation and vibe. LOTRO has quickly become my 4th all time fav game. In speaking about immersion, this game does it VERY WELL. You will feel it as you slowly pace through the game, doing each quest, getting to know the story and the world, which has very little inconsistencies. I find myself caring about the world, even the trivial things. Actually just yesterday I ended up in a small town called Staddle, and found a questgiver by a Hobbit called Himloc. Well...his whole quest line is about how his pipe-weed has been stolen by local brazen fools that must be dealt with. As a pipe tobacco smoker in real life, this quest was important to me as you do not mess with a man's pipe and his pipe weed. These are some of the small pleasures i find. The community, whether you decide to play on the free servers or legendary VIP servers (I wholesomely recommend you get on the VIP servers, you will NOT regret it), the community is just amazing. It's a mature community of old school adult non toxic players, who care about the world of Middle Earth, who care about Tolkien's legacy, and who want to be part of it. Also we want to find Frodo in game, to give him some lembas if we can. So that's it. Now stop reading and get on LOTRO!

I am from EU and the biggest issues I always had were the two dreaded "No EU Servers" and "Small UI". The latter I think I can fix this time with some trickery of puttin the game into native 1080p and then upscaling with nvidia control panel, the former is fine...For a while. Will there be EU "Normal servers" after this? I tried playing the game before and the lag made it SO janky, I just want EU servers for the game to stick around D:
I just purchased VIP and am wondering which server affords the fastest leveling without having to buy Mithril coins? I'm playing on a classic server (Brandywine) and find the leveling to be cripplingly slow, and I can see where the game might be trying to burn you out into going for the Mithril coins or buying EXP boosts, but... no thank you. Any advice is most welcome.
New player, just hit 28. Im playing a guardian on Angmar. I joined a bit later than everyone else. Content is too easy on normal. But wraiths make everything harder. They kill me 90% of the time. Crank the difficulty up a bit and then the content feels good and the wraiths melt me, they're way too common. I don't think these were implemented well. Some class/combos kill them exceptionally well, while others struggle. So most people just run from them solo, it really ruins the immersion. Not 100% sure ill renew my sub after a month.
well they should fix their steam payment service, I dropped this game again, after I kept getting Errors when I wanted to sub to this so I could play, I even wrote to them, as some said I should, but you should never be supposed to do so much just to be able to pay. I guess I am not the only one, that happens with. I was hyped after not playing it since lvl 65 cap back in 2010 or something. Now I consider trying the Everquest 2 orgins server instead, as I expect that won't have payment errors. I heard they had these problems for years, why won't they fix it? it makes no sense, if they want to earn money
Shadowfax does not exist anymore and hasn't for ages. No legendary server has ever shut down early except maybe Ithil but that was folded into its sister legendary server which everyone new the whole time was likely.
No point in playing legendary servers. Just go for the real classic SoA server instead. It is finally ready and will launch within a few weeks with final tests running atm

Probably not - but there might be more EU servers maybe in the future
