    I just used 3/4 tape to outline around windows etc.I would reach in my back pocket for my comb use it to tuck the tape along the edge.

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214

      That seems like a resourceful solution. I also use a 3" filler spreader for those type of details.

    I know you are not painting in a booth how do you keep the trash out of your paint it always looks perfect?

      I've actually got a video coming out soon that will show dirt and flaws in a factory paint job on a 2016 Peterbilt. Straight from the factory with no other paint work in between. And while my paint isn't perfect either...I have quite a few tricks that allow me to shoot as clean a paint job as you can find out there. Thanks!

    A lot of times he doesn't allow comments but I'm like addicted to his videos LOL he does such great work

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  4 месяца назад

      Well thank you very much, my friend! I used to have the comments shut off because I don't feed trolls and I dislike know nothing mansplainers. But after enough people tracked me down through other means with technical questions...I decided to just open the comments up so I can provide folks with the info they might need to be able to save some money and do their own fiberglass or autobody projects. When the occasional troll rears its ugly head...I don't even read past the first sentence and instantly hide my channel from their view permanently. It's everyones right to be an uppity negative dick in this world if they so choose...But it's also my right to block them if they wish to be vocal about it in my comment section. Again...Thanks!

    You're a master at your craft but I was just wondering do you clear coat any of these trucks, or do you need to.

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214

      I shoot a single stage 2K urethane that does not require clear coat. Easy...Simple...Great gloss...And tough as nails. Thanks a lot!

    Do you mind giving an approximate price for painting a truck like this?

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  9 месяцев назад +1

      Usually between 10 and 12 grand for a daycab and chassis such as this one.

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214

      I only paint under hoods if the customer specifically asks for it and agrees with the price adjustment

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  9 месяцев назад

      As I mentioned in the video...there are many ways of going about it. As long as you didn't find yourself paying a big price for your decisions...you didn't really go wrong.

    Why did you paint the muffler?

    • @leejohnson6173
      @leejohnson6173 9 месяцев назад +1

      he literally told you why he painted the exaust elbows...He didn't paint the muffler...

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  9 месяцев назад

      I didn't. I painted the elbows below the mufflers because one of them was very unsightly with excess rust. If it weren't headed straight for an auction...where looks are everything...I would have left them alone and let the customer figure it out if they so wished.
