That was a beautiful orange W 900 man. I do not know how you do it. But you make some beautiful colors on them. Track the trailers absolutely beautiful. I really like your colors, I don't like what you do. It is amazing keep breaking up with the absolutely good videos absolutely love you videos
I am about to purchase a 2006 Peterbilt 379 CAT 3406B. The truck had 1 owner who took pride in ownership. I will take pride in getting it back on the road. After watching your video I now have a greater understanding of the skill level of work to hire to repaint my truck. I wish your hop was located in Arizona. Thank you for your videos. 😊
He should have just replaced that hood. It was so far gone. Your work is definitely incredible. I wish you were in the states i would love to have you restore my 90 007 edition w9.
he would have been willing to. And 9 out of 10 times I would replace a hood that badly damaged. However...for the sake of making this video and demonstrating just how drastic some fiberglass repairs can get and also how an owner can undertake such a project themselves...rather than coming up with the money and time to replace one. If they need it back on the road and making money...this is a solid demonstration of how to do that in the space of a weekend. And that's why I chose to do it this way. Thanks a lot, My overseas friend!
I'm not sure how I missed this video. That truck looks great. I really like the red. It looks real close to the color that I sprayed my last Sprint Car. I'm really picky about reds. So many of them have an orange hue to them and that drives me nuts... It's amazing how much difference a new grill makes, especially on a truck that has just been painted.
Hi there from the UK 🇬🇧Love watching you work, from your detailed breakdown/explanation of everything to your finished product. Rare to see a true professional at work in anything nowadays in our high speed disposable world, if you were over here I would definitely bring my wagon to you 👏👏Take care 🙏
That is awesome to know! New video tomorrow and a rather involved 1995 Pete 379 video this next week sometime as well. Glad to have you along for the ride!
I sure enjoy your videos and appreciate the detail information you provide as you go. I would like to see what the cost of the work you do in each project.
On the purple kw 100 coe on the crack in the back of cab around 83 or latet the rear cab mount the mount goes out futher across the back. & around the dog house there is a mask that goes around the tunnel opening & there some other structural braces in later cabs . Very nice job on paint & body work !!!
This much custom work goes for between 15 and 20 grand around here. other truck shops wont even look at a day cab with minimal damage for less than 15. so were still the best deal in the five state area and one of the only ones around that sand blasts as well. Thanks a lot!
I used to do autobody painting for a living and I notice you do the same thing as I used to do,,use both hands,,,,that gt of paint gets heavy after awhile.
why...yes it did! the boys and I will frequently remove only part of certain decals to make a different statement appear. Brent did this one. thanks a lot for the ride along!
My 2001 has EVERY single issue that truck had.. all of them! I know this is an impossible question to answer but what price range am I looking at to duplicate this job? Also what kind of time frame do I need to prepare for? Thank you. Fantastic work!
well...first of all...I only did those extensive hood repairs to demonstrate just how involved fiberglass repair can be. In most cases...when a hood has as many issues as that one did...I'll recommend replacing it with a Jones hood and moving forward from there. Id have to check current prices on getting such a hood delivered to my place. Probably in the 5 or 6 grand range for that. The whole job would land in the 20 to 22 range including the new hood. Thanks a lot, buddy!
it really depends on the exact situation. with all its issues...this one was in the 15 grand range. it would have been higher if we had done the chassis. most sleeper trucks are in the 12 range while daycabs are closer to 10. Thanks!
Thank you very much! Those tanks could stand to be replaced. they have been patched and welded on quite a few times and are pretty beat. but it's also a 24 year old work truck with a few million miles on it.
7K to get it bought and shipped to my rather remote doorstep. I still take the time to replace worn out old aluminum ones sometimes though. but i only order fiberglass replacements here in hail country. Thanks for your input!
That is definitely a viable option. I mostly did this particular one to demonstrate just how far back from certain doom a person can bring a fiberglass hood if they so wish. Replacing it certainly would have been less work though.
New truck costs a fortune and only buys a little time before repairs are needed anyway. Plus...if a truck has shown itself to be a good one...it's worth the time and money to just keep it on the road. Thanks!
From someone who's been in the business for over 40 years I just wanted to shout out thank you for doing quality work!
Definitely agree
well i certainly appreciate it, Buddy!

Yes...and I have many times over the decades
This guy is amazing 👏

You do great work!! Just wonder what an aproximate cost of a job like this? A lot of hours went into this one for sure!

Very nice what does something like this cost roughly
Between 15 and 20 for something with that many issues, generally. Thanks a lot!
Incredible work , first video I’ve seen of yours. Those fuel tanks need to be painted.
Thank you very much! Those tanks could stand to be replaced. they have been patched and welded on quite a few times and are pretty beat. but it's also a 24 year old work truck with a few million miles on it.
Where are you located at? Thanks
upton, WY. Thanks !
Wow wow wow!!!
Thank you so much!
Nice job, cat power
95% of everything I end up painting has a cat engine in it. Once in a while a series 60 comes along and almost never anything else. Thanks!
I own 5 trucks with cats
What city and state is your shop located?
upton, wy
Would it not be cheaper to buy another Hood?
Not always he probably save them $$ by fixing it plus those hoods are high and still alot work to get it ready to paint there always perfect
New hood is about 5k
7K to get it bought and shipped to my rather remote doorstep. I still take the time to replace worn out old aluminum ones sometimes though. but i only order fiberglass replacements here in hail country. Thanks for your input!
They are still quite a process when they show up new. You are right about that.
sometimes it is. I also have to consider making a diverse video as well. Plus, fiberglass is almost always repaireable.
the sleeper extender braces rot out due to snow and salt sitting there all winter long, owner needs to replace the radiator
you're right about the braces. I'll have him look at his radiator when he gets here to pick it up later today. Thanks!
@@teams.t.e.a.m6214 at last the radiator and other coolers need cleaned out first
Awesome
thank you very much!
How about a different hood?
That is definitely a viable option. I mostly did this particular one to demonstrate just how far back from certain doom a person can bring a fiberglass hood if they so wish. Replacing it certainly would have been less work though.
I’d buy a truck just so this guy could could fix it up and make it shine 👍
Let's get on it! Thanks!
The hood problems is true if open let drop will broke off.thank expose rebuild cab and expose when worn out.thank video😮
and thank you as well!

Forgettable about buying a new hood maybe he should just buy a new truck LOL.
No need for emission junk engines from New trucks
