      Ha! I've been a hard worker my entire life. My story is an involved one...so it may be a little hard to believe when I say that my hard work ethic actually began when I was just 6...when I helped my dad manually dig out our foundation and then build our house and a series of underground cellars as well. The first time I was living on my own and working construction...I was just 12. Tough, dirty jobs are certainly no stranger to me.

    Looks good Ray. I've been waiting for this one. I agree about the hoods. I like the look of the factory
    aluminum hoods with the rivets because Peterbilt hoods have been that way forever, but for durability
    you can't beat fiberglass.
    I'm surprised that the owner didn't have a headache rack on the truck when he was pulling a flatbed
    with pipe on it.

    So, just curious. How much would a job like this cost. ?? The reason I ask is I have a 93 379 that has the original paint on it. Well what’s left of the paint. And cb the body is in fairly good shape. Needs 2 fenders, hood is good, body is straight.

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  3 месяца назад

      If you're talking chassis and all...you'd be in the 17-19 range if it's a sleeper truck. 14-15 range if it's a day cab. That price includes brand new fiberglass fenders and installation as well

    • @teams.t.e.a.m6214
      @teams.t.e.a.m6214  3 месяца назад

      The only thing easy about that is the saying it. Finding one that old that's somehow not damaged itself...then transporting it at great cost...then the involved process of removing the old one...including refrigeration lines and all...Then reverse the entire series of events and just two weeks of wrenching and busting your knuckles later...you have yourself an expensive replacement sleeper. I think I'll just stick to the way I've been doing them.
