It's a shame we'll never have a cheap, no option barebones, V8 pony car again. To think that you could buy one of these brand new off the showroom floor well under $20,000 is crazy! Ive been wanting to buy a base model F150 5.0 since 2018 and do the 650-700hp Roush/Ford Racing blower, I came close to doing it on a Reg cab long bed 2wd XL I found a deal on for $26k. Its really cool to see someone doing it. I have had 3 Mustang GTs('05,'10,'11) and a 2011 F150 5.0. I used to be a crazy Ford fanboy. Got my start with 4.6L 2Vs when I was a teenager and that was all I could afford to buy and insure with my own money, I had 7 4.6L 2Vs and a GT40P 5.0 before I finally got a 4.6L 3V then I bought two Coyote 5.0 vehicles new in 2011. Latley I have been playing with old 351W based engines, my day is a '94 RCLB 2Wd F250 393w AFR heads, Lightining lower, Explorer upper, 70mm TB, Cobra MAF, Doug's stainless long tubes meant for a Lightining or Bronco, 1.6 rockers, 5.0 HO cam, 3.5" diesel stainless single exhaust, built ZF-5 S42 manual trans, just a very streetable high tq build that is meant to be tons of fun and very reliable to tow and haul things. Probably had 350-400hp, 450-500tq. I want to really open it up and make it a long travel suspension beam kit truck. Big cam, single plane, Holley Sniper, possibibly build an extra 351w roller block in my yard up to 408-434ci, port the AFRs, run some ported 210cc Speedmasters or step up to some big time TFS 11Rs 190 or 205cc for 600+hp. The Coyote game seems kind of pointless to me know that the 7.3 Godzilla exists. I would have done this build with an F250 Reg cab long bed 2wd 6.8/7.3 Godzilla with a dealer installed blower kit. Shame they are using that stupid 10spd instead of the old 6R80 and 6R140 those transmissions had way less to go wrong and were proven. Brian Wolfe made 626hp 646tq with a basic little Truck Norris cam and springs in a dingle ball'd 7.3 that was scrapped due to lifter failure. With some head porting, a huge cam+ valvetrain and a stroker kit upto 4.250" bore 4.6" stroke at 522ci the 7.3 should be an easy 700-750hp N/A engine. Stock internals they're making over 1000hp on boost already. I think the move would be to take a 6.5' bed from a wrecked Super Duty and shorten the frame on a Regular Cab to fit it then go crazy on the power.
Awesome idea but it falls short when you find out that the brakes, transmission, rear differential, frame, motor mounts etc have not been upgraded to handle the additional power. Oh, and the comment about it being aluminum and it doesn’t rust, fails to mention that the structural components of the truck are still made of steel.
its the z06 of trucks. Base model standard cab with the big engine, that's what the true corvette z06 was, base model frc fixed roof coupe with the big engine LS6
I made the mistake of tryna race one at a light, I didn’t know they were out yet and my stock titan is relatively quick, I’ve matched other f150’s. This stock looking work truck gapped me so hard i finished the drive home in silence
The new Ram Tungsten ran a 4.4sec 0-60 with a crew cab 22" wheels, and every option with only 540hp. I would expect better with over 700hp. I definitely like it, but would also like it if Ram would put the HO 3.0 in a tradesman quad cab. Ford is really doing a good thing putting the 5.0 in the base trim.
@PerformanceOnWheels not like the Tungsten is running some high grip track tires, and you said you weren't going all out. Still it should beat a Raptor R with so much less weight and heavy 35s or 37s are terrible for pavement acceleration. Raptor R is 3.7 sec 0-60. That's what I expected out of a RC, short bed, 4wd basic f150 with the Raptor R motor.
I can tell you from experience even with just the 5.0 the brakes of the truck are really not up to the task of highspeed braking, they fade very quickly and aren't sufficient for even that power levels so this thing would be a death trap without a serious brake upgrade, but besides that pretty great truck.
That guy works for the dealership who did my trucks prepurchase inspection. They said the truck was great. Turned out it burned a qt every 250 miles and had a bad cluster. As well as a few other things they failed to catch.😅
@El_Peto crystals in the Tailpipe. Check the EGR system. Check the throttle body. Check the oil level. Smell.taste.touch. black soot at the end of the tailpipe. Lots of ways.
@El_Peto I have no idea what your problem in life is but your misery is coming out in a very strange way. BTW the truck is doing just fine it had a stuck ring. 200k and strong as an ox. Either you work at that stealership or you have literally no life whatsoever.😂
Lol only 26 miles and not breaking it in properly! Even the owners manual says 500 miles! Now theirs a video proving the owner never broke it in! I waited 1k miles on mine! These are too nice of trucks to risk not breaking it in properly, theirs a video of a C8 that blew at 52 miles from hammering on it before it had 500 miles
When somebody builds an engine do you break it in?? A good builder would let you rip it right away. Most cars are built my machines and machines fuck up more than builders but to hell with the break in period it has warranty
Actually there's gobs of videos of C8s blowing with less miles than that.Thats why gm programmed the computer to record how it's driven and whether or not you broke it in properly.

*Thats A LOT of power for stock brakes i think....maybe Im wrong.*
how much for a 4 door?
Love it! Excellent sleepr
How's the leg room in these regular cabs? I'm tall at 6'3. Was wondering what the leg positions would be like and if it would be comfortable
Tons of room on the inside!
I’m 6’5. I think it’s great.
I want this but there’s no way they offers this performance package on crew cab 4 door configuration?😢
Looks like you’re in luck. This one’s still available too.

Can the transmission and diff handle the new power?
"This is a customer's truck"....and they rag on it totally ignoring the break in procedure. LOL!
Oh well.. it's sold
I worked at a Ford dealership. They told us there was no break in period
No such thing as break in , except when you meet a new girlfriend
Doesn’t kick in until higher rpm? Superchargers don’t work like that.
its the z06 of trucks.
This thing is on the most city slicker tires and is spinning in 4x4 off the line
So what you are saying is that it’s harder to stop at 100 mph with a whipple than it is to stop at 100 mph with a stock five oh?
That guy works for the dealership who did my trucks prepurchase inspection.
They said the truck was great. Turned out it burned a qt every 250 miles and had a bad cluster. As well as a few other things they failed to catch.😅
@El_Peto crystals in the Tailpipe. Check the EGR system. Check the throttle body. Check the oil level. Smell.taste.touch. black soot at the end of the tailpipe.
Lots of ways.
@El_Peto 183k miles to be exact.
@El_Peto I have no idea what your problem in life is but your misery is coming out in a very strange way.
BTW the truck is doing just fine it had a stuck ring. 200k and strong as an ox.
Either you work at that stealership or you have literally no life whatsoever.😂
@El_Peto Ya ok pedro 👌
Gonna need to get cats, oil pumps, injectors, exhaust and tuner. A trans cooler wouldn’t hurt either
I like the stock, stripped-down basic trucks. With gobs of power.
Back to the good old days when ordering a real factory hot rod was possiblr!
Where have you been the last decade+?
How long will the transmission last? The standard transmission is not rated for that power...good luck.
Can you get it without the digital dash and touch screen malarkey?
Wait till you see the 2025 models , they have a bigger screen, 12” or 14”!😳
I hate a digital dash..
Are they launching in 4H or 4A? If it's 4H how have they not blown it up?
Best truck in the market, not even a contest
Sounds like a great truck
Is there a proximity key conversion kit out there? I'm so used to touch-entry and keeping the keys in my pocket... can't go back
Lol only 26 miles and not breaking it in properly! Even the owners manual says 500 miles! Now theirs a video proving the owner never broke it in! I waited 1k miles on mine! These are too nice of trucks to risk not breaking it in properly, theirs a video of a C8 that blew at 52 miles from hammering on it before it had 500 miles
What 😂that would really Suck 😢. Wow
Porshe has this in their gt3 turbo & so does every other manufacturer froms cars to bikes to trucks to tractors so @hunnterful1
The c8 won't go full throttle until 550 miles so... Lies
So 4wd does not tear up the front axle? Or is this really AWD?
Can you make it look like a Raptor R? Power is clear, but suspension, exterior and interior?
It's just money. Make it happen!
"tires are $70-$100 each so what the heck go thru a set of tires a month. I don't care." this guy is awesome
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Forget about the truck is this guy gonna sell me tires for $70? 'cause the cheapest off-brand tires for my truck (factory, base model, steel wheels) are $130 before tax and mounting
@@shoveI 140-260$ who's counting. Still cheap. Go buy nittos for a vette or a camaro then come back.
I don't think I've even seen a 13 inch tire that's much under a hundred bucks in a few years
The dude is baked, there are no 17-18” tire’s selling for $70. And if there is such a place I sure as hell wouldn’t put them on my truck
Coolest sleeper ever. No one would suspect shit, but how reliable would it be
3:48 that's not how twin screw blowers work
I’ve got the same truck in black, Whipple is ordered! More content please!
We can do that ;)
Do they make a 6”-8” lift for this truck. It has the horse power to push bigger tires with out a problem
Dude must not pay for tires if he thinks they cost $70 lmfao 🤣 but that truck is so bad ass
Buy some on Amazon, that’s all you need. I buy more tires than your average human I can promise you that 2-3 sets a year on average
You're not shopping around apparently lol.
I’ve seen them around 70 bucks at Walmart! You can still get a car battery for 80 bucks at Walmart!
$70 tires would be complete shit. Not sure where you’d get a new tire this size for $70 a piece, either.
@@mtb416IF THEY ARE GETTING BURNT OUT … why the hell would you need anything expensive. Save that for road trips on a different set of rims.
I want to see this thing do a max tow test 😍
Now thats a proper Lightning!!!👍👍
Full length Headers, full Aftermarket 3"+ Exhaust, Cams, n intake=1000+hp
🔥🔥
Ya and the transfer case transmission and the super 8.8 rear diff are already on borrowed time🙄
can u get it in a supercab?
Is the room for seat position the same as the F250? I’ve sat in a Ram single cab and the seat goes back and leans farther than I need it to which is what I’m looking for
This is why I would need an extended cab at minimum.
@@LuckyCharms777 I hear ya. The F250 I sat in was plenty of room but they didn’t have an F 150 on the lot and the salesman didn’t know if they were the same size single cab
@@ronmexico5908
I doubt it’s the same interior volume on both. I think Ford’s website lists the interior dimensions. Try checking it out.
No replacement for displacement.
wish this was available in canada
How do you order this with the supercharger? I don't see the option on Ford's website.
Now that’s a sports truck.
Once my xrp takes off, I'm buying one of these. I'm totally hitting you guys up for sure 👍
Can you get this in extended cab or crew cab?
You can get it in any configuration with a 5.0
I'd like to order one nowf150+ 750how much down???
Almost went to your dealership. Went to Johnson Ford. In new Richmond WI instead. Bought a 2024 lariat.. my old2020 with a tune only did 4.9 seconds with the 3.5l ecoboost! Zero issues with that truck. Waiting for the tune to come out for my 24. Maybe I will step up to the 850hp game?? Or 1000 hp?? Not sure yet.
Should have got a better tune on that 3.5, they will go much faster than your times
My future truck is f150 with torqstorm 700-800hp 💪💪
I have the Roush version, its amazing....
Better Roush warranty?
Fleet spec white with a ladder rack for the ultimate sleeper... The silver is a little to "sporty"
The latter rack is the ultimate troll
No options XL lol...I went to order one in 2013..mandatory power windows power locks,a/c and a bunch of other stuff I didnt want but had to pay for.I said not interested.
A super-cool truck!!! Wolf in sheeps clothing indeed...
This is so bad ass. I love that it looks like a fucking bottom level U-Haul.
sold my mustang just to buy one of these, order going in later this week!
FYI. lol we do transmissions in these after builds and Shelby’s the stock trans and dif can’t handle it at all
What is the pay loud on them love it..
Where’s it at on the website I built one and nowhere is that an option
It is not on Fords website, it is built in house at dealerships. Apple autos specifically
LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!..... FOMOCO FOR THE WIN!!!!!!!
I have been looking for an XL F-150 with a 5.0. Tomball Ford in Texas said they cant get one. WTH
They have plenty with the 2.7
55k? That a deal. Local Ford dealer is asking that for used 3.5TT.
Can I get one in a 4 door?
What sucks is that Ford wont let you spec one above basic work truck. A color matched STX or XLT with carpet, decent wheels and push to start would be so much better.
Why in the hell did they put a kevlar belt oil pump?same as the 2.7?need gears in a v8.
Better change that oil about every 2000 miles …
What is the temperature of the weather outside?
Low 70's
Is it available with a Manual transmission?
Wow you must be high they don’t know what your talking about ,you be speaking a different language lol manual 😆
Unfortunately not just a 10 speed
@@PerformanceOnWheels you can't do swap?
But can I get this as a 4 Door model?
Absolutely
Just need to finish moving then I'm getting one
is there a brake upgrade package? nice video!
Sweet truck. Couldn't get through the entire segment though. Like how many like times can like the guy with like the hat on like say like the word like?
