2013 F150 STX Short bed, regular cab, 5.0 Coyote - 360 horse, 6 speed auto, in Race Red with flat black accents. Had it since it was 9 days old, put 114,000 miles so far. The only problem was water got into the fuse box over the radiator and corroded some connections. It has been flawlessly dependable and so much fun to drive, plus, you can actually move some real stuff in that 6' bed. Never needed anything else since the day I first saw her. With that synthetic blend I only change oil every 8000 miles. Never seen any problem in the oil, and it still never needs a drop of oil between changes.
DO NOT “BEAT the S**T” out of your truck people! I’ve just added the latest Gen 6x Stg 1 Whipple to my truck with the latest updated tune from Whipple and outside of a couple of launches this is my daily driver and its sole purpose for the added HP is just to pass a few cars on the highway when I need to and the power is there. To me the 5.0L Coyote struggles at low RPM’s and doesn’t really show it’s true power until I’m like already in 3-4 gear! Ever since I’ve added the Whipple Blower, I felt like THIS is how the 5.0L Coyote should’ve came from the factory! Instant torque and power right off the line in low RPM’s! I love it! And as long as I don’t ABUSE it then I will be just fine. Especially with my UPR Catch Can, Crank Case One-Way Check valve breather and my Banks IDash Data Moster to watch all my engine, coolant and cat temps. I told myself that if I’m going to do it, might as well do it right! I don’t baby my truck but I definitely don’t abuse it either. You have to take preventative measures while finding a happy medium. These things along with routine maintenance is the key to longevity with these engines. I do agree that the warranties are manipulative with the fine print. That’s exactly why I don’t trash my truck and beat on it like most might do because I know exactly what these LIMITED Warranties state. Even the so called Ford Performance one is the FUNNIEST! And they even have ppl thinking that the Ford Performance LIMITED Warranty is the same coverage as the Ford Factory 5Yr/60K Powertrain Warranty. NOPE it’s not! IF that Whipple of yours blow that engine to shreds and is found the cause of catastrophic engine damage/failure that’s when Ford will present you with that Ford Performance Limited Warranty that will only cover a certain amount AFTER they break it down and tear it apart. And if ABUSE is found then YOU are solely responsible not only for a new engine but as well as them breaking the engine down for the diagnosis! 🤣🤣🤣
Ford....the ONLY brand giving us the ability to buy a RELATIVELY cheap Supercharged V8 pickup truck....NOT Chevy and NOT Ram, but FORD; remember that all you GM and Mopar lovers !!
Ford's choice of catalytic converters is what is killing these engines. They can't handle the heat. They melt causing the exhaust to clog and blow the engine. This is why whipple is not covering them with warranty. Numerous dealerships have stopped doing business with them because of it.
I’ve sat in a single cab F250 and had enough room to position the seat comfortably. Is the same true for the F150? It looks smaller when someone is sitting from the video
It is smaller than a f250 but it comes down to your height and weight. The f150 is a very comfortable truck and very spacious. I find myself to be very comfortable in the truck at 5’ 11 and I have friends that are 6’ 2 and fit comfortably
Paid $38k for mine, it's 2wd because I didn't want 4wd. Just order it and you'll get it at msrp plus whatever rebates ford are giving at the time. Add your whipple and you're at $50k....
The "warranty" is basically useless covers seven thousand dollars on the motor and two thousand dollars on the transmission. Everything else cats, transfer case, axles are 100% zero warranty. Pitching these trucks with a "warranty" is silly, if your buying one with a warranty in mind, read the fine print and just be ready to pay down the line. With a 12:1 comp ratio engine boosted its not a matter of if......just a matter of when it will blow up. Dealer near me had a guy with the "stage 1 warrantied" whipple setup....blew his motor up and he was out 9k for a new motor even after the "warranty". If your gonna boost a gen4 coyote just be sure to have a slush fund for when it goes. Wish more of these videos would make that apparent to potential buyers. If these companies truly believed in there products they would have a legit fully covered powertrain 36k/3 year warranty......not a neutered down 1/4 of a real warranty. Hard to believe ford performance aligns with these "warrantied" products that they slap there name on.
Agreed I will not buy one of these until the top coyote tuners can fix them. All kinds of problems with the Whipple tune. It’s a shame. At 3:50 the guy is straight up lying. No one else on the planet has tuned these besides Whipple. That is the problem!
@michael589m No doubt. They dont want the masses to know that there driving a ticking time bomb if they boost there 4th gen 5.0s. If they truly believed in there product and platform they would have a legit 3 year FULL powertrain warranty but there lack there is proof that what they offer is a unreliable setup. I have a 24 f150 5.0 and my buddy who lets just say is involved in the ford world when he tells me "there's no way in hell i would put one of those on my truck" says that I trust him lol.
@michael589m Yea its a bs deal with the tuning availability. Available to whipple and roush but nobody else. There weak warranty is proof that there platform is weak and has holes in it. 11k-14k to have a ticking time bomb seems insane. Have a buddy who lets just say is in close with ford when he says "i wouldn't put one of those on my truck for free" i believe him 😆. If your really hell bent on a warranty go roush they have a better warranty @ 15k dollar 3 year/36k coverage warranty and cover engine/transmission axles, transfer case etc. Just funny how these youtubers make these videos with the claim of buying these trucks with the "stage one whipple" and people really believing the warranty bs. Blow the motor, transmission etc up and let us know how that warranty works. If your getting into this platform and need or want a warranty your getting into the wrong platform.
You can do whatever configuration you want! As long as it has a 5.0 the single cab short box is just the most fun/ playful/ light and affordable configuration
I live just north of MPLS, I need a crew cab and lots of tech and comfort. I may need to stop by one of these days.
your other video sent me here … was looking at Cletus McFarland channel before that 😂

I really want one of those 😍
Same
dumb question.....can you turn off the 4x4 an run 2 wheel if you wanted?
Yes, it’s usually 2x4 at all times unless you turn 4x4 on

Cant melt the cats if you dont have any installed.

im in california, a stock coyote f150 is 47k so how are you getting a sleeper package for under 50?
Dealer discounts basically selling the truck for invoice
Because they arn't in california

Regarding tune- pre 2024 has numerous tuners. That is what the comment is in reference to. I do not think anyone has cracked the ecm on a 24 yet.

Sounds like logically, paying straight away for high performance cats is likely THE best warranty available !!
Where can I get one? I live in Roanoke, Virginia.
Minnesota, Apple valley Minnesota is where this dealer that builds them is located they do ship
Raptor R has 700hp not 702hp
It actually has 720 now but correct the 2023 had 700 was thinking of the TRXs 702
Why no super crew? Someone with a family will need a back seat.
