Mitch I’m so glad you filmed this L5 fault. Daikin harness 239145 is not available and they want $258+gst for a hand full of cables. They cannot give me an eta on the harness either. I’m confident I can get my client going now after watching this video!!! You are a LEGEND!🤙🏼
That’s the exact same part number that I couldn’t get either back in early April so I went to this job and got it running without it. I can confirm you don’t need that part mate. Just take some cable and spade connectors. Thanks for the comment! Cheers
Thanks Mitch, this has been a great video. Was exactly as you said and needed this new pcb..not exactly cheap.. but by doing it myself saved heaps on call out and Air con tech. I actually put lugs on that cable from the compressor as well saving having to pay a riduculous $208 for a Daikin wiring loom! I am sure you are right with the suseptible to power fluctuations as I came home after a power outage, turned on the AC and ended up with a L5 fault code? Keep up the good work..👍👍😊😊
Hi Mitch, new follower to your vids. Just seen this video and your struggle to make the new board fit. There is a reason why you struggled. Daikin have 2 different type PCBs for vrf. A "G" type and a "J" type. What happened you on this job is that you replaced a "G" type board with a "J" type. Anyway keep up the good work from a follower here in Ireland
Is that a Vrv Mitch?? or just a large capacity unit?? How crazy that they send brand new wiring looms that don’t reach 🤯, great Vid as always mate, really enjoying (and learning) heaps 👍🏼 Where would I purchase a service tool and inverter checker from?? and how much$$ 🙌🏼
Thanks mate! This is just a high capacity residential ducted, not a VRV. You can buy a Daikin service tool and inverter checker from any Daikin distribution centre or head office depending on where you are located. I can’t remember exactly but I think it cost me $500 for both. You don’t need the service tool as much but at least the inverter checker. I wouldn’t feel comfortable going to a service call these days without one. You can use the inverter checker on any brand unit. 👍🏻
I have L5-05 fault. Compressor megged good. Inverter PCB tested good. Now not sure what is causing the L5-05 fault. I guess I need to hook up the checker to see if I can find the culprit. What would you do?
Sorry mate, but this is not exactly "fixing the problem"with L5 by changing the hole PCB,Instead of looking into the problem with details.I mean is it a condensator,a resistor,IPM,etc. Thanks for the video anyway.Keep up the good job.
Not many in Australia will spend the time or have the knowledge to repair a board. I certainly couldn’t. And more to the point it would probably not be cost effective. This is definitely fixing the problem.

Well done Mitch, and with Compliments, you carried out the job nicely, and i liked your calm nature due to this frustrating job 👍

Muchas Gracias! Where are you from?

Did you do Acid test for the compressor?
How did u determine it was the board?
I used a data checker to test the PCB and a mega to test the compressor mate.
I had the exact same issue changing the same inverter board. They didn’t send me out that same harness. Typical Daikin
What a stitch up. Don’t get me started aye. The whole ordeal of even trying to get my hands on all these parts was a nightmare haha
Confirm the replacement Pcb....l5 error code ?
Hi bro
which country
do you need a technician there
Quand tu changes la carte inverter il faut faire le test .
D-CHECKER?
Daikin vrv v 8 hp outdoor
Daikin is too much faculty product. fixing is not cheap either and why bother installing this product....
why you not try to fix the bord
Not many companys in Aus repair the pcb that's an electronics guys problem lol

It’s an issue with the IGBT module located in the Inverter PCB.
