    So if the fan is still working does that automatically mean its a PCB issue? Was the fan on this unit just not working at all? Thanks!

      The fan on this unit looked visually perfect. I replaced the fan motor and it hasn’t missed a beat since. You should look into “Hall effect”, and to be honest so should I but basically if these fan motors are spinning less compared to what they were originally when the unit was installed then it may trigger an E7 fault. I’d download the Daikin equip app and just measure the output on the PCB from where the fan gets plugged into. That will tell you if the board is faulty.

    I replaced the fan motor after finding a melted connection at the back of the motor but my unit still shows the E7 error. I had a tech out and he recommended replacement of the PCB and to replace the motor again at the same time as the PCB could have damaged the new motor. Is there any way to test the new motor is fine and just replace the PCB or do I need yet a third fan motor?

      @@jessedc you can just test the fan motor before ordering the board.

    A detailed step by step repair shown in the video...What was the total cost of changing to a new condenser fan in your currency?

      The DC Fan Motor is $141.40 (list price) from Daikin. I got a trade discount but I can’t remember how much the discount was. Thanks.

    In what scenario would a PCB fault to E7 with fan normal... How to check ???

    • @maracservices
      @maracservices  2 года назад +2

      In my experience, iv only ever experienced an E7 fault when the fan is faulty OR the Fan/s and the PCB is faulty together. I personally haven’t come across a scenario where the PCB is randomly producing an E7 fault without the fan having a problem.

      I had a similar experience with my Daikin 1.5 ton unit. Replacing the fan motor fixed my E7 error code. Fan motor shaft didn't spin smoothly when I tried turning it by hand after removing the fan blades from the shaft. Fortunately Daikin had a 5 year warranty on the outdoor unit built 02/2020 so cost of a replacement fan motor was covered at no cost. Getting the part was a challenge bc seemingly no one had the motor except Refrigeration United but they won't work with homeowners, instead selling to only HVAC techs.

    Usually just a hall ic in there goes out of cal. Motor is fine but stil faults. Board outputs fine. Had it many times

    I have a mabe model mini split and at first the E1 code showed up and so I just cleaned it and checked the wiring and the fan was working but now the E7 code is showing and I waited for about 2-3 minutes and the fan never turned on... could it be the same thing?

    • @maracservices
      @maracservices  2 года назад +1

      E1 means faulty outdoor PCB. E7 could be the fan motor or faulty outdoor PCB (I have another E7 video where the problem was the outdoor PCB). So without testing your Air Conditioner, it sounds like the outdoor PCB is dead and possibly the outdoor fan motor 😬
