Glenda, you are a wonderful crochet teacher. You thought of the smallest detail for those new to crochet and made it so simple for anyone to understand. Thank you. Beautiful baby blanket.
Love this pattern. Thank you for working a speed we can follow. As soon as I finish typing this, I’m pulling out the blanket I have started and do this one.
Dear Creative Grandma, I love your crochet videos. They are very helpful to a beginner. It has helped me to understand more about crocheting. It has given me the confidence to do a herringbone half double crochet stripe blanket pattern for my sister.
I like the brighter colors that you picked. I also like to crochet with mercerized cotton thread which I have used since I started crocheting at about 8 years old. I am now 66 years old, so I have been crocheting for over 50 years. I have only recently finished 2 queen sized blankets as I had never since I started crocheting done a blanket/afghan before. When I got into college I didn't have time to do much crocheting so I didn't do any big projects until after I retired from working in 2018. I was intrigued by the tunisian 10 stitch pattern. I started using a Red Heart favorite stripe colorway for the 10 stitch blanket which took me about 13 months to finish, since I broke my arm about halfway through the blanket. I found that the crocheting helped me rehab my left arm. I then started my first cal for another blanket which was a collection of 25 blocks. I learned about 25 new tunisian crochet stitches in this blanket. My next project is a ruana for a spring wrap. I have really enjoyed your you tube channel as I like making doileys which I crocheted a lot of as a child. My favorite motif is the pineapple stitch so I would like to see you use that in one of your designs for an afghan or baby blanket, or something else. I can send you a pattern for a butterfly applique made from pineapples stitches if you desire.
Hi Glenda, I really appreciate you taking the time to show us the earlier work. It's beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration, I will have surgery in June and have to have my leg in a movement machine for 6 hours at a time so it will be crocheting time
Glenda, has the prettiest designs, and most detailed tutorials. Make sure you check out her other tutorials. Last year I made her Daisy Granny Square , and Baby’ First Christmas Afghan. Help me get through the lockdown.
I am a beginner and I love this blanket - you do an excellent video with very good details and explanations and video shots to help see exactly where to insert the hook - can’t wait to try it
A co-worker who works with my husband is expecting and I’ve been looking for a baby blanket pattern. I really like this. I appreciate you telling us where to put a stitch marker as I have the hardest time keeping my rows straight. The blanket is so lovely. Thank-you Grandma! 🧶😎
I just watched this tutorial and that is a gorgeous afghan, perfect for a little one!! I love the interesting stitches. Great job on the tutorial; I am a beginner and it was easy to understand. Thanks so much. Nancy Watkins
You do inspire me always! I intend to make this for my new granddaughter Izzy she'll Love this. Oh it would be so great to win this. Those crochet hooks would be awesome a x friend of mine ripped me off of a bunch of hooks ,I haven't replaced the smaller metal hooks yet, so this would be so great. Thank you just in case. If not I'll order!. A very good luck with your surgery my thoughts an Prayers are with you for ur recovery! Peggy Tobin
It's a purrrrrrfect gift 🎁for a newborn. I'm anxious to submit myself for the give away. I'm excited because I've NEVER submitted for a give away and ultimately never won anything. Good luck to all.
@@pikachubarcellona4106 well I don’t how big you want it so here are some options. Add more rows to the blanket ( you will have to buy more yarn). Double the chain and make it wide and then add more rows to make it long. Hope this helps
Love the colors and the pattern. I'm not understanding one thing. Nothing with the project. Everytime I watch one of my friends and their videos I see at least 1 thumbs down. Does someone just go through and do that for the heck 🤔 of it. Your videos are great and relaxing for me. Keep up good work. 😇
This is a cute pattern... but I thought so when I saw two other RUclipsrs doing it too over a week ago, LOL! It seems this stitch pattern is really getting around!
This design is a remake of my Rock-A-Bye Baby afghan which I designed back in 2003 and was published in Crochet Fantasy "American Country Afghans, pages 30-32. I revamped it and took 2 rows out of the white section. So my pattern has been around for over 18 years.
Hi Glenda, that is a beautiful baby blanket. I was wondering.... Could you do a tutorial on a blanket or Afghan of our American flag? I like your patterns and your tutorials are very easy to follow.
What a wonderful pattern, the yarn is sooo beautiful. Do you think the yarn is available on Amazon? I live in Sweden so I have some problem to order it from thier website.
I am not familiar with Bernard yarn, as long as it is a (3) light weight yarn it should work, I think the Lime, blue yellow and white would look wonderful!!
Hi Glenda, beautiful blanket as always. I went on your website to buy the pattern, but when I click on the Purchase button, it comes up with a 404 error page. I tried it twice. Thanks for sharing all the tutorials that you do. 🤔 😇
Can you please state the multiples as I would like to make this blanket but a different size. This is my main bug bear of so many patterns demonstrated in various UTube videos, that the multiples aren’t stated and if it is solely an even or odd number. It is very frustrating.
Not sure which row you are referring to Row 1 you work a sc into the 2nd ch as your first stitch, Row 2: you ch 1 (does NOT count as a st) sc in to the first sc, then you dc in next st Row 3: you ch 1, does not count as st, hdc into the first st. Row 4: Ch 1, sc into first hdc, then sc into NEXT st. Row 5: Rep Row 3. when working the 2 rows of the sc and dc pattern you start Row 6 with a ch 1, sc into the first st, then dc in the next st Row 7: starts with a ch 1, sc into first sc, dc in next sc. So when working Rows 6 & 7 you are ending the row with 2 sc. I hope that helps you understand the pattern
Such a delightful spring colored baby blanket.
So very pretty! ❤
Glenda, you are a wonderful crochet teacher. You thought of the smallest detail for those new to crochet and made it so simple for anyone to understand. Thank you. Beautiful baby blanket.
I'm having so much fun with this pattern. I even got my hubby to do a couple of stitch's. He plays guitar not yarn. Lol. Proud of him for trying.
Love this pattern. Thank you for working a speed we can follow. As soon as I finish typing this, I’m pulling out the blanket I have started and do this one.
Good Choice on Yellow Border! PERFECT demonstration & explanation of the picot stitch! 👏💛⭐️🌻🌼🤗 WELL DONE 🧶 Thank You Very Much! 🤡😀 Therese

@@pikachubarcellona4106 you can just keep repeating the rows to get as long as you want the Afghan to be.
Love the colors and the pattern.

Hi Glenda, that is a beautiful baby blanket. I was wondering.... Could you do a tutorial on a blanket or Afghan of our American flag? I like your patterns and your tutorials are very easy to follow.
Thanks for fixing the link Glenda. 😇 😇
If you are making this for a baby boy should you leave out the pink yarn and use all the others? Thanks, this will be beautiful?
Luv it!!
What a wonderful pattern, the yarn is sooo beautiful.
Do you think the yarn is available on Amazon? I live in Sweden so I have some problem to order it from thier website.
Nice
Beautiful! I have Bernard in a mixture of lime blue yellow and white. Would it still look nice in this pattern? I love the cross stitches!
I am not familiar with Bernard yarn, as long as it is a (3) light weight yarn it should work, I think the Lime, blue yellow and white would look wonderful!!
I’m so sorry I’m usually very aware of type o’s lol, I meant Bernat!! I’m laughing hysterically now!
@@carolinedurbin9582 I should have known what you meant, if it is a (3) light weight yarn I am sure it will look wonderful.
That’s so lovely! Thank you for sharing. 👍😊

Bobbie, we fixed the issue here is the correct link: creativegrandma.net/product/sunshine-and-rainbows-baby-afghan/
Very pretty what is the stitch multiple?
It is a multiple of 2 plus 3
@@CreativeGrandma Thank you
Can I use 4 ply for this blanket
Make the first row yellow and second row green on the border
Awesome, thank you for the tutorial
What are the multiples if u want it bigger
I was wondering if you happen to have a poncho pattern forba beginner.
I have a couple poncho patterns on our website www.creativegrandma.net
Houndstooth stitch, I love it
I'm trying to do a sample how many stitches even odd ?
I thought you were at the beach!
Can you please state the multiples as I would like to make this blanket but a different size. This is my main bug bear of so many patterns demonstrated in various UTube videos, that the multiples aren’t stated and if it is solely an even or odd number. It is very frustrating.
The multiple is 2 plus 3. have fun making your afghan.
I tried to order the yarns. They were sold out of all the colors...pink, blue, yellow, green, and white!
No Colors left in natural cotton left what do you recommend in substitution?
Premier Yarns has a beautiful line of Everyday DK in beautiful colors, which will work up just as nice. It is a 100% Acylic anti-pilling
what is the multiples if we want to change the size?
Multiple of 2 plus 3
Does anybody ever work with premier puzzle yarn anymore or is that a thing of the past
Ok, amazing, but, cos'è sucesso a tutti quelli fili che sono rimasti nei bordi? Non ho capito come lei li faccia sparire. 😮
The background noises doesn’t bother me. It’s very windy where I live in Alberta Canada.
You are not very clear on the first stitch of the row. You have 2 single crochet. Which stitch are you using as your first stitch.?
Not sure which row you are referring to Row 1 you work a sc into the 2nd ch as your first stitch, Row 2: you ch 1 (does NOT count as a st) sc in to the first sc, then you dc in next st
Row 3: you ch 1, does not count as st, hdc into the first st. Row 4: Ch 1, sc into first hdc, then sc into NEXT st. So when working Rows 6 & 7 you are ending the row with 2 sc. I hope that helps you understand the pattern
30 degrees international is Celsius. It means warm/lukewarm in America. We use Fahrenheit here.
Thank You for letting me know!!
