I like very much the style of your presentations, always to the point. I fly the mini and the MA2 and decided to upgrade to the A2S, because of its Mavic 2 Pro class camera. The problem with the minis is that I had to cancel many flights because of adverse wind conditions, and got tired of it. As far as the Mavic 3, given its steep price increase, I prefer waiting for the Platinum or 3Pro equivalents to come out, and the Remote ID requirement to settle. Also, for Apple to introduce their M2 chip, to allow for faster video processing. So, in the meantime, I will be flying the A2S, which is a terrific quad, because of its features, compactness, and lower weight, than the M2Pro and Mavic 3. Greetings from Montreal, Canada. I bought the Mavic air 2 when it came out which doesn't seem that long ago, I don't think i need the upgrade as it is only the sensor size that would swing me, I really like the air2, I think I will be waiting to see what the Mavic 3 has personally.
I think that's a great decision. I mean if the Air 2 is doing everything you want it to, why change. If you did want to upgrade, wait a while for the next couple of drones and then when you do change you will see a significant difference to what you have. 👍

I got the Mavic Air 2s the day it came out. Has everything I want and need. But Im upgrading from the original bullet proof Mavic Pro, the number one. As I fly mostly over the ocean and film surfing my poor old girl was rusting a bit but still flying and doing way more than I ever thought from it. But I was really chasing slow motion for 4k and the S gives me that plus the bigger sensor. So for me this is a major upgrade from the Original.

Thanks for the vid, however one glaring miss comparing to the Mavic Pro 2 is the variable aperture, which is pretty huge if you want to avoid swapping out ND filters and maintaining shutter speed. Another miss is the 'tripod mode' of the Mavic Pro 2 at 1m/s compared with the 5m/s of the 2S. Side sensors are also essential in side tracking shots.

Only 3 minutes into the video but man, I am gutted. I only recently got the mavic air 2 and I thought it'd be future proof for at least another year or two... But something that left me underwhelmed with the mavic air 2 was the image and video quality. So I'll probably sell my kidneys to get the Air 2S with that bigger sensor and increased megapixels 🙃

Air 2s is certainly the dream uograde for the Mavic Air 2! But for lesser budget, Air 2 is still a decent choice!

Thanks for the review. What I really wanted to see is the video quality comparison. I really did not like the blurry video of the Mavic 2 pro, much preferring the Air 2s. But with 2s inheriting the same pro sensor I'm curious what this translates to in terms of sharpness.

different camera this is not the Hasselblad, i agree i thought it was to soft also on the M2p so hopefully nice and sharp
Is the 48 megapixel output from the air 2 better than the 20 megapixel from the 2S? Since the Quadbayer-Technology can’t be applied to the 1“ sensor 🧐 thx 🙏🏼
Hmmm hard to know without seeing a comparison, which I'm sure we will soon. The larger sensor, more dynamic range etc should probably mean the Air2S image is better I would think.
I love my air2 upgraded from Spark. That was massive difference between both drone. Now I am able to make 4k video for my channel and a much better quality too. Air2s is not good enough for me to update!! I wait for Air3 ;), great compare video!
Oh yes you would have seen a MASSIVE difference from the Spark to the MA2, so good option to stick with it for now, as you will still be loving all of the differences that it has with the Spark! 👍

I have just been informed by my friend he has the air 2s and I have the air 2 so we are going to do a real-time flight test and video quality to see which one come out on top, I guess it will be the 2s. Be interesting to see the differences. I am out with him on Sunday and will do the video then

Yes quite an upgrade in some areas.
I just bought the Air 2S and sold my Air 2 but feel like I might miss the HDR mode which was so good .
Will be interesting to see what you think of the images you get out of the Air 2S 👍
Is Mastershots only available for the Air 2S ? Mavic 2 Air owner and debating upgrading and that's a pretty big consideration. Also -- do you have any idea when the Mavic 3 will be released ? Willing to wait if comes out soon but not if waiting for another year.
Well it is a new feature released with the Air2S and the updated DJI Fly app. I don't have a Mavic 2 so it would be interesting to see if that function is available in the app for that drone - any other users of other drones able to use that function - please let me know!

Hmmm I think we need to wait until we see some comparisons as the Air 2S does not do 48mp however with a 1 inch sensor you'd have to lean towards it having a better image.
Coming from mavic zoom then move to mini. Now I miss a more stable drone against the wind, what should I get air 2 or air2s? Bu the way thanks for sharing both sides bec some of reviews on youtube is more of advertising not giving a real review/talk.
Yes the mini 2 is a great drone but it's strength (sub 250g) is also it's weakness. If you're going to jump into the Air, then go the Air 2S as it will future proof you for a few years. Hey you're very welcome - thanks for the comment 😊👍

Been wanting a drone and I think it’ll be worth the the extra few hundred to get the 2S. Can’t wait to see the Pro 3
The 2S is an amazing drone, and if you don't have the needs of a high end professional who always needs the latest and greatest, it will be a great investment and last you for many years to come 👍

Do you know if it a digital or optical zoom? Not being able to change the aperture is a pain in the butt.

Tell me please what exactly decided the issue of buying a drone in favor of Air2s and not Air 2, which is now being sold at a discount? Including discounts, the difference is 500 € (in Finland)...
All the extra features as outlined in the video. However, it comes down to personal needs - if the Mavic Air 2 ticks all the boxes you need it to, then that's the drone for you! 👍

Could you please tell me if the camera gimble can now take vertical shots like the Mavic Pro? Mavic air 2 don't have this feature so i have to use vertical panorama which creates a JPEG file instead of RAW.
The Air 2S can take vertical stills - (3×1): 3328×8000 (width×height)

If you meant to order it, then yes, it's a great drone. If you didn't meant to order it (eg, you were meant to order pizza for dinner but got sidetracked and accidentally ordered the drone, then that's not good). I hope that helps.

I just bought the 2S...I already own the Air 2.. my problem is I upgraded mostly because of the sensor for photography and the distance. I was having issues with my Mavic 2 not going past about 3,000 feet from my house. I'm having the same issue with the new drone as well. I've tried every setting and even stood on the roof of my house to get a cleaner signal and it made NO difference!!

I got the mavic pro 2 lost it after a year i got the air 2 am really happy with it for me i dont see the need to get the new air 2s cause its just a little update i rather save my money and wait till the mavic pro 3 comes out .

I loved my little Spark, but yes, if you move from the Spark to the Air 2S you won't know yourself, you will love it so much with all the additional functionality it has!
The spark was definitely great when I was learning but now it just a wee bit behind with the new tech, I think the better connection and better camera will help improve my footage

Hmmmm.... a little upgrade from MA2 to MA2s. Whats next from dji it appears to me a chop chop chop updates is part of business. I will wait for the new dji in 2022 and i'm sure it is higher than the 2s.😉😉😉
The new drones sure do come out very fast. It's hard to keep up and not practical to keep upgrading because they are worth alot of money. Like phones! 😕

No its not official as yet maybe it will come but for the time the fpv dji google are not supported

@@GetBusyLiving probably fpv goggles will only be compatible with the top-tier drones like Mavic 3 pro when it comes out or it will be only for fpv drones anyway.
Mavic Air 2 and Mavic Air2S have their own "goggles version" already.

I have the Breeze but all of a Sudden the remote wont work with it i dont get it lol, APP works but just using the APP is a Pain in the A$$, looking into getting new drone.. Wish they would made Breeze 2 Drone.. But it is what is is!!

Not for you and me in normal use, but I believe for FPV it does make quite a difference.
