I have them all... every time DJI come with a new drone I just go out and buy it... however, the AIR 2S and the phantom 4 2.0 are my favorite 2 drones I fly the most.

I fly it 2km Over built up areas with minimal signal drops it’s very impressive and I love how quick it increases height quite an amazing drone and a good value proposition with the mavic 3 released considering it’s $1500aud less.
Man, you really do a lot of flying! Yes, I agree completely with your assessment. Regardless of the improved specs, the greatest thing about the DJI Air 2S is how much fun it is to fly!
I had the Mavic 2 Pro. After about a month with the Air 2s, I sold the M2P. I couldn't agree with your assessment more. I also have a Mini 2 that I take on trips when space is tight, but then wish I'd had the Air 2s with me when I get a really cool shot that I wish had better quality. That's a lot of flying! I guess that answers some questions about the Air 2s reliability. Thanks for the video.
Great video. Kinda glad I bought a Air2S and not the new Mavic 3. Have you looked into the Autel Evo2 6K? I am just now finding this drone and compared to the Air2S it seems to have a ton more dynamic range. Great work on this video. Will keep my A2S.
I kind of wanted a Mavic 3 as well, but the price is just too much, I bought the Air 2S fly more combo with smart controller, and it was still 1K€ cheaper than Mavic 3 with fly more.

The good thing is that I was able to use my Mavic Air 2 batteries and some accessories. Also, I was able to buy the Air 2S brand new at a discount(EBAY) because of the pending release of the Mavic 3. I will keep my Mavic Air 2 because it works with Dronelink for autonomous flights and the Air 2S doesn't.
Very good presentation, thanks, Billy! I sold my M2P for the Air 2S and I believe it is a great drone. However, when I compare photos from my M2P with the Air 2S the photos are a bit better with the M2P. Of the things I really like about the Air 2S are the signal, the unbelievable accuracy upon RTH, and the compass. With the M2P I would often have to do a compass calibration and I never have to with the Air2S. I have the smart controller and binding the two is troublesome in terms of the time it takes to bind. I am also suspicious about the occusync 3.0 working with the SC. I have flown two miles out and back but even when I have no obstacles in my way. I do wish DJI would offer waypoints with the Air 2S since I used this feature a lot with the M2P. The only other issue might be having sideways obstacle avoidance. Once, the lateral sensors saved my butt.
Yeah this really helps me to choose my first drone purchase. I knew it was good but didn’t know how goid and where it fit in with all the rest of the DJI drone line up

Like all batteries they eventually wear down... Your controller has settings that will let you know when your battery needs to be replaced so not to worry... I believe I know what you're getting at though,, so look at your batteries not in the manner of Duracell,,, look at them in the manner of Die-Hard,,, and the charging brick is your alternator...
Great video, thank you. there is general agreement regarding Air 2S vs Mavic 2 Pro and even the better (and way more expensive) Mavic 3. My concern is that I sank my Mavic 2 Pro. Bad judgment and extremely bad luck: I (actually we, the drone and I) missed a branch of the only tree hanging over the edge of a canal. The branch won. The M3 has superb obstacle detection with 360º cameras, and I would fly with more confidence. As an amateur, I don't think I would really take advantage of all the other improvements. And then there is the issue of the smart controller. The one I have won't work well with the Air 2S, and it isn't yet available for the standard M3. And when it is, there go another thousand dollars!
I finally bought one! Coming from the Mini 1 and 2 and primarily into photography, I am in love. My images need sooo much less pp now, and they look great right ooc. The vertical performance is crazy good, and I'm looking forward to doing a lot more video. Thanks for this video!
That sealed it for me. Your numbers don’t like , Mileage, Fly time and number of lights really says it all. I have a Phantom 4 (BBY) Obsidian Edition. I’ve had it about 5-6 years and through that time it’s a great unit , but to take it anywhere is a job ! So big, , Cade, batteries etc .. So I’m looking for a smaller unit with upgraded technology. I was looking at DJI FPV and Air 2S. The FPV unit seemed more fun w goggles, but the Air 2S looks like a real workhorse. Thanks for your video !!

That’s A LOT of flying. Hard to believe. I have the M2P and I still really love my Air 2. The flight modes, particularly the spotlight mode. I wish DJI would add features in a firmware update, but I’m not holding my breath. The lack of aperture control is the one thing that prevents me from upgrading from the Air2 to the Air2S.
I flew two days ago with the Mavic 2 Pro in a really cloudy day around sunset time and out of the blue the sun came out just above the horizon and everything became very bright. I mean really bright. Without variable aperature I would have been lost. For me personally that's an absolute knock-out criteria.
What do you think about the smart controller with the air 2s ? I have both but I haven"t been able 2 bind ? I dont use the stock remote as I have an old mobile ...S o I bought the smart controller And haven"t got it to bind ? Billy is there a way to disable the sensors beeping. I returned my Air2S because with careful close flying it was too annoying So I use mini 2 for easy close flights near trees or buildings and my Mavic2 Pro for high quality video and pictures. When the Mini 2 went to 4K it became my favorite drone I always travel with.
Guys, sold my Mavic 3 Cine and picked up a used neighbor's Air 2s with a bad controller but I fixed it. Now it's my favorite little drone. Save your money don't buy Mavic 3. Wait for Mavic 4 and other Autels :)
Bro, I'm a real estate photographer full time. I didn't know how amazing the Air2s truly was. I am returning my Mavic 3 and going back to my Air 2s. Story is: I fully crashed my Air2s. Was in a hurry for a new drone while my Air2s was getting fixed. Mavic 3 was just announced and I was hyped. Looked amazing, ordered it, it was amazing...BUTTTTT there were sooo many flaws with it. Didn't like how it was 4:2 or 16:9 aspect ratio only. Didn't like the 5.1k video aspect ratio. Didn't know it wouldn't work with my old smart controller. And then the new SMart controller is $1250!!!! WTTFFFF. Also, the M3 really does NOT fly very well. I miss the Mavic 2 Pro and it's ability to fly so smoothly and do whipping turns and such. The M3 doesn't seem to handle very well with precise movements and spinning shots. Idk..... it's just so expensive, and reallly.....not even that big of an upgrade. I'm just gonna return the Mavic 3 and use my Air2s once it is done getting fixed. Plus: the 7x lens is TERRIBLE, and WAY too zoomed in. A 2x 50mm secondary lens would be perfect.
Mavic Air 2 and Air 2S share the same batteries. I have 8. On a full day of flying (and into the night, sometimes) I'll use 6 batteries on the Air 2S and the rest, if any, on the Mavic Air 2. Oh. And the Mavic 2 Zoom may get some flight time. If it's been behaving. Old and ornery, it is.
So would you choose the air2s rc pro bundle over the evo lite plus bundle… is the camera difference that big between the two … sorry I mean to be off topic
What’s your take now a year later? Now that the classic is out ? I wanted to get the mavic 3 classic over the air2s. But the air 2s is just waaaay to affordable to pass up. I’ll have to save for the Cine 3 or classic 3
Watching all the good about this drone looking at the mavic 3 with the high price. Found a great deal on the air2s can get combo with the new pro remote for $1750 think this is the way to go
Hey Billy love your videos! Do you have any color presets or downloads fro the Air 2s D-LOG? You did a great one for the D-Cinalke in the past where I could just build it out by copying the sat, contrast, exposure color numbers for the Mavic Air 2 a year ago or so. Could you send me your Final Cut Pro presets or help me import an Air2s D-Log Lut? Thank you For your excellent info!!!!

I'm 4 days away from getting the M3 when it gets released. Feels like I've been waiting for it forever. However, that video of the beach front properties nearly made me change my mind and buy the Air 2s. Not sure if that quality can be improved on.
It’s the night shots that will be the biggest difference. Trust me, you want the Mavic 3. Especially with the adjustable aperture. Otherwise you’re going to sell the Air 2S for the Mavic 3 eventually.

The Air 2S is pretty much all I need from a drone. The Mavic 3 looks great, but I can't justify the expense for just a hobby.

Idk..... it's just so expensive, and reallly.....not even that big of an upgrade. I'm just gonna return the Mavic 3 and use my Air2s once it is done getting fixed.
Plus: the 7x lens is TERRIBLE, and WAY too zoomed in. A 2x 50mm secondary lens would be perfect.

Mavic Air 2 and Air 2S share the same batteries. I have 8. On a full day of flying (and into the night, sometimes) I'll use 6 batteries on the Air 2S and the rest, if any, on the Mavic Air 2. Oh. And the Mavic 2 Zoom may get some flight time. If it's been behaving. Old and ornery, it is.
What should I look to pay, and best place to buy the combo? This would be my first decent drone..thanks!

What’s your take now a year later? Now that the classic is out ? I wanted to get the mavic 3 classic over the air2s. But the air 2s is just waaaay to affordable to pass up. I’ll have to save for the Cine 3 or classic 3

Watching all the good about this drone looking at the mavic 3 with the high price. Found a great deal on the air2s can get combo with the new pro remote for $1750 think this is the way to go

Hey Billy love your videos! Do you have any color presets or downloads fro the Air 2s D-LOG? You did a great one for the D-Cinalke in the past where I could just build it out by copying the sat, contrast, exposure color numbers for the Mavic Air 2 a year ago or so. Could you send me your Final Cut Pro presets or help me import an Air2s D-Log Lut? Thank you For your excellent info!!!!
It's so funny that you made this video two months ago but now you dont even talk about the air 2s anymore lol and you just straight switched up for the mavic 3. Do you even still use the air 2s anymore? Also I would love to see you do a comparison video between the two drones

I'm 4 days away from getting the M3 when it gets released. Feels like I've been waiting for it forever. However, that video of the beach front properties nearly made me change my mind and buy the Air 2s. Not sure if that quality can be improved on.
It’s the night shots that will be the biggest difference. Trust me, you want the Mavic 3. Especially with the adjustable aperture. Otherwise you’re going to sell the Air 2S for the Mavic 3 eventually.
