you're motivating me to go through my junk. I don't have many clothes or shoes but I have tons of memories in physical form that just need to get outta here.
I am SO guilty of that, and it's hard to figure out why. Like, why can't I just have the memory of something and not a random sweatshirt that I wore that day lol? One day I will get past that kind of thing. Hopefully.

I couldn't wear shoes from High School, even if I'd kept them. My feet (and I) have grown since then. XD
If you need to re-heel a pair of shoes, try bringing them to cobbler/shoe repair :)
I definitely will if I have a really nice pair that needs repairing. I think with the shoes that I have at this point in my life though, it would probably cost more to get them repaired than buying a new pair of shoes haha.
+Geeky Chic yeah, totally understand! I got a pair I loved reheeled, it was only $15! But I'm from the North East US, doesn't seem like shoe repairs are as popular elsewhere as they are here.

Its decluttering but not konmari. At least you are inspired but you are not holding each item asking yourself if it sparks joy which is the essence of the method. Are you putting Konmari in the title just to get viewers because you are being very misleading or are just doing it wrong.
I'm actually doing a lot of the seeing if it sparks joy part off screen :) the footage for this video was originally close to an hour and I had to cut a ton of it out haha. Sorry if this appeared to be misleading; that wasn't my intention!
Great declutter! But know that any shoes too worn out, broken, etc to sell or donate can be recycled! Never throw shoes away!
How do you recycle them?? Not just the regular recycle bin, right?
No they need to be sorted for their material. Sneakers can go to Nike and everything else generally for textile recycling but not all centers accept shoes. If you need help you can always send to us and we'd cover shipping so just let me know!

I have one pair of shoes. (Unless you count ice-skates) I do need to get running shoes though

It makes life easier. I don't have to try and figure out which shoes I'm wearing because if I'm on the ice I wear my skates if it's any other place I wear my converse :)
Oops I didn't actually explain how, the answer is I have no idea. The most I've ever had would be like 10-15 pairs when I was younger and constantly growing out of them. Shortly before I became a minimalist I had I think two pairs of converse, some flip-flops, skates, and running shoes. So maybe it's because I just enjoy simplicity?

In band I played clarinet, but I also play piano :)
