We are still not perfect enough (though we try hard to be) and made a terrible mistake in the credits inside the video. The bassist in this performance is Mike Pope.

When i first saw RTF in 74 Al was 18 or 19 & his personality seemed rather stiff & very serious but these days, he's a joy to still watch & listen to plus his sense of humor is where it should be & he's having fun while still playing these insane runs and fine music. Still one of the guitar worlds greats. After watching his interview with Rick Beato he's way more laid back & one smart guy besides his awesome skills. When he puts a band together it's always this good.

I can't stop listening to this live version of "Ava's Dance In The Moonlight". So much of Al's music is built around his guitar riffs, but in this piece his playing compliments the beautiful melody. He plays tastefully and with fire but it is the melody that stays in the heart.

    The Spaniards basically
invented the modern eqivalent of a six string guitar.
It came from the ultra ANCIENT
    Arabic Oud.
    Al DiMeola has finally recovered
5000 years of history of the guitar
Into the modern equivalent of the
    Second Coming....via
A wide open Marshall and Gibson Les Paul.
Only the naive or ignorant and Trolls could possibly try and character assassinate
A 20 TH Century equivalent of
    Nicolai Paganini.
Instantly recognizable in a Sea of wanna be
    "Mongolian String Benders"...❤❤❤😂😂😂🎉🎉🎉😢😢😢😮😮😮😮😅😅😅😊😊😊
