Thank you for making these videos. Thank you for being to-the-point. You explain things in facto mode so we don't hear a lot of what we don't need to hear. I'm going to try adding pillars to my candle collection.
It's a male thing
Great video! I Love that Fruit Loops scent!!!
That was great! I am a soap maker; but, I am learning about candles! I can’t wait to make pillar candles!

Thank you, my first ever how to make a pillar candle video! I did find it was a touch difficult to follow what you were saying, the volume was very low, but I got the general gist! Thanks again, thumbs up!
I found a great tutorial online for making candles: HootCandle.club
I recommend you check it out.
Thanks so much for this! I'd been wondering how these were done.
Looks great man! 👌🏼
You can also make your own wike with a simple 100% cotton tread soaked in some borax, then have a layer of wax on it.
That's what I did with mine, there is no smoke and it works well.
borax?
Awesome tips! I was able to see what I had been doing wrong on pillar candles, thanks!
Ty soo much on candle info🌹🌹looking to get better at candle making to give as gifts to friends 😊😊 & family❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Glad you enjoyed!
Hey thanks for the guide it was great, but also I was looking for a heater just like the one you have so thanks for linking it
Thanks, learned some good tricks to improve my candle making.
Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about "how do you get candle wax out of a jar?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Panlijah Inconceivable Position - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a good one off guide for discovering how to become a candle making master and turn a profit minus the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my brother in law got great success with it.
Soooo easy. Thanks
Thanx 🙏 great video
Very helpful, thanks a lot!
Thank you for this video! I was searching through google and found your video =)
Awesome video, thank you! I can't wait to get started working on my candles!
I would love to see how to do this process with wooden wicks.
Hey Tim - love the channel! Wondering about mixing my own blends to make molded candles. I would like it to be a natural candle (not paraffin)wax and I am up to making my own blends... any advice? I'm happy to use soy, palm, or coconut waxes. Appreciate any help you can give (btw I'm making spherical candles)
Hi Tim ! love your videos what kind of wick do you feel is best for pillar candles ?
Excellent job.
Super, to-the-point, - and yap-yap yada-yada gab free, while remaining relevant and informative.
Thank you. I'm kind of bummed you can't use soy for this type of candle BUT- that was disclosed up-front which is appreciated. Cheers.
Great video! Thank you! 🙏
Where do you get wax and molds?
What kind of wax do you use?
Oh that’s really helpful thank you. I didn’t even think to poke holes in there to release the air pocket... duh
Thanks for watching!
Thank you thank you thank you
Thank you
Thank you. :D
Hi Tim. Could you do a video reviewing your Farberware double burner for melting candle wax? Thanks for your helpful videos.
Best method for making candles: HootCandle.club
I highly recommend this guide.
Hi. Great info. Where do you get the wax from and the metal containers?
On several candle pages, I have heard them talk about using styrofoam to help keep frosting down, temp from cooling to quick so adhesion to glass is better. So can you enlighten please
I would recommend this to anyone
Nice
New Subscriber here... awesome video
HENLO, I want to make red and yellow with natural sandalwood dye. Usually the dye is extracted from the powdered sandalwood with alcohol, would this dye be ok to use? Plz halp, thenks fren. 🙏
How do you know what size wick you need with pillar candle. I know how to do container wicking but I have never done pillar candles. Could you please advise me
Hi, I’m just getting started in candle making. I’m only doing it as a hobby but would like to know how much fragrance oil i need to use. Could you help me with any guidance you may have?
hi tim!!!!!!!!could you send me a video with easter candle.i have a problem i make in greece with alyminio model for easter candle 40cm with 3 cm diametr and the canles have holes burbles all over the candles why;;;;;
So instead of doing the release holes, would using a heat gun to level out that surface work as well? also you added extra wax in the pitcher which was 10% i'm wondering if the fragrance oil would've supplement that?
How did you mix it so fast?
How do you stop the melt pool from running down the side?
Help! What should I do if I still have huge indentions in the center of my candles even after I poke the relief holes three hours after pouring the wax? I tried it twice, and both times refilled the wax to the rim, only to have them sink again when the candle was done
Thanks for doing a pillar tutorial Tim!!! Is it August 7th yet?!? 😂🤣 👍🏼👍🏼
can you give me a link for the mold putty.. Some say mix with water.. Confused. Thanks
Hello! Thanks for this amazing video! I am using KY 143 and a liquid color dye from rustic essentials, but the candle came out darker (and with a slight transparent quality) than an opaque soft pink, like it should have. Is it possibly because I heated the wax to 200 degrees and put the dye in at that temp as well? I poured the candle at 180 degrees. Thank you!
This is just superb, been searching for "making candles scented" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Cenadoelyn Candle Contemplation - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate got great results with it.
You always give informative ways to make the candles. They are awesome....
I made some pillar candles and had some problems while lighting the candle. Somehow the candle melted fairly quickly and turned the color from cream to brown, caved in while burning. I'm not quite sure what happened. Do you have disaster videos why the candle discolored while burning? Did I use wrong wick, wrong wax, etc.?
What? A pillar candle isn't like a container candle. It should leave a candle wall on the outside after burning. Otherwise it would just melt and go everywhere. When you put out a pillar candle you need to kinda tuck and push the softened edges in and down so that when the wick is gone you end up with just a small disk left over.
What ll b d ratio for fragrance oil n paraffin wax??
Do you have a preferred fragrance company that you would suggest for a beginner? I bought some from Michael’s and it just isn’t very strong, like at all.
I've never done this before, but I was curious, is there a reason why you put the mold release on after you put the wick in place?
No special reason I suppose, just where it falls in my process. I suppose the only benefit would be to prevent it from being smeared if you happen to touch the inside of the mold while you're placing the wick.
Where can you buy molds from?
How much scent do you add
Hi can I mix the parrafin wax with soy wax?
How to resiving thaa order
Hello,
Where is the link? and can I use beeswax? Thanks
hey, can you provide a link for candle fragrance oil
How to make three wick round pillar candle...plz make video on ir
How do you keep it from peaking out??
Where do you get your scent from?
Where did you get the molds and that long metal stick
where did you get the molds from??
Where do you find just the wick pins for 3" x 4 - 6" pillars? I already have the molds, but cannot find them anywhere. Thanks!
Candle faux pas question...
Have you found a way to fix a candle if you’ve added too much FO to wax and have pooling on top? It there a method to fix this or scrap it and start over?
It's not a total goner. Sorta fixable, but not sure if I would trust it enough to sell it. You could wipe the excess from the top with a paper towel, then reheat the top and sides of the candle to get it to remelt and remix just a little.
what was the pour temperature?? how much fragrance oil did you use?? I have questions! lol
Can we use pvc pipe as a mould?
I'm glad I came here first before using my paraffin wax and getting just a mold. I'd probably be the one that gets the releasing problems lol
@trollaccount I'm not looking to sell candles honestly just for Christmas presents and for myself.
may i ask where is the link for the mold ? thanks
What if we dont have a mould release?any alternative??
Olive oil.
👍👍👍
did I miss the part where he says what temp to heat the wax and pour to?
Can i make candle from tissues or toilet papers? lasting more times and giving more light?
no one likes shrinkage. how hot do you get the wax? does it have to stay at that temp for some specific time. what's the pour temp?
I notice you use a burner rather than a double boiler... is it specifically designed for wax melting? I ask because I was told not to use a burner. Something about burning the wax. But if I can, I’d rather use a burner than a double boiler.
Bahaha! Love the comment about the RUclips CEO and math....
👍
Paraffin is about 10% less dense than water. So you will automatically get 10% extra wax if you melt the same weight of wax as the water weight.
Hi, I made the candle, but when I light up too much wax is dripping from my candle on the floor, why it happened
Did you put a plate under your candle?
No
that transition noise was terrifying
Do you know how to make candle followers?
Hmmm, what are candle followers?
They are the brass things that go on top of the candles, you might have seen them in church. They help the candles burn evenly.
Sam John Anthony cool, learned something new 😊

I did this totally backwards 😩
I did it myself with the Stodoys plans. I think this is the best way to find out how to build it.
This was great, thanks, I have been researching "how do i make candles" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Cenadoelyn Candle Contemplation - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my m8 got cool results with it.
The candle is a lie, it's not white!
