I just watched your video for the very first time. I'm a complete beginner on this field. I'm considering starting a home based candle business in Nigeria. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Love this video and thank you for doing a paraffin wax tutorial. Please continue to add these paraffin wax candle videos to your channel, you have amazing techniques. Thank you.
Hi Sheri, thank you for your captivating and and informative video! You are very generous in sharing your knowledge. 💖 I just have a question - I made my first paraffin candle today and put in some fragrance and solid dye to colour. When I released the candle (I used the metal mold) the colour was all mottled and almost looked like a palm wax finish. I didn't want this, so is that because I didn't use liquid dye?
We will be making pillar candles for a wedding using cement and agate stones the groom collected as a child. They will be wickles as the wedding venue says we have to use battery powered tea lites inserted in top of candle. We have never made candle. What would be the best wax for wickless, none scented pillar candles. Thank you
I used a 2 part plastic mould and put the dye drops in as shown. It just stained the mould and didn't really run into the candle. I used a brand new mould and I'm just wondering whether it needs to be primed or something. I tried cleaning the dye out with acetone and totally buggered up the mould. It's gone opaque. I will have to use acrylic polish to try and get it clear again... lol
Thank you for peraffin wax candle guide. Please share more detailed video with melting , colour and fragrance mixing and pouring temperatures and supplements used for shining.
Hi there I have recently made a couple pillar candles, wanted to as a gift but for some reason my dye (same one as you have used) doesn’t want to dry. It has been 4 days and the candles are still sticky…. I’m using eco soy pillar wax. Can you help me understand if they will ever dry or is it the wax I’m using ? Thanks
what size wick are you using in the video (1mm or 2mm, etc)? also does it have to be waxed or can you just use it plain? whats the difference? if you want the candle to last longer what type of wax should i use? thanks
Thank you! You're amazing. Can you help me do pressed flowers on my aluminum molds? I haven't been able to master your technique. Some has been, I have discovered , that I have been using the wrong wax possibly. 4625 pillar blend. My flowers absolutely would not adhere to the mold, or else, the candle would not release from the mold. I have bought Parrafin wax now and am ready to try your technique again. My problem with is that the wax was drying before I could get my flower sticking. Itri3d the dip method and the roll. Was it the wax?
Hi Sheri, I just started making candle as a hobby. I ordered IGI 4625 Pillar and trying to make complex molds. I am seeing small white spots on some parts of the candle. I have heard Vybar may help... Can you please advise?

I am facing the same problem. In my case, there are hundreds of tiny little bubbles all over the suffer. Tried pouring at different temperatures but nothing😭😭
Those candles turned out really nice but the second candle you made with the blue and purple the finish candle had a peek when you were adding the paraffin wax to the sink holes it was a flat surface and you showed a candle that had a peek now is that straight paraffin wax ? I have not seen those plastic containers here in the US they sell the metal container where you can’t see through and I would love to make some candles pillar candles like this but would also like the clear containers
Well great tips. Just want to inform you that paraffin wax is the most natural wax available! Petroleum is created inside the planet and paraffin is mainly just isolated and highly refined. Soy wax and coconut wax on the other had are NOT natural. They are synthetic chemicals manufactured from vegetable feedstock. Vegetable fats must be hydrogenated, like margarine, to max solid waxes!
