Best and simplest method for me is to add flowers on top of ready candle, cover with baking paper and heat with heat gun. Keeps colours and is very quick. Flowers are melted into candle a bit, just enough. 😊
Dear Sheri, I love your videos and techniques you are using. How to make sure the flame doesn't catch the botanicals? I am anxious to give candles with dried plants if I think it might catch fire.
@@sherivegasartist maybe I can buy a cheap candle and drill a hole and try.? your awesome candles will last for ever if it works.! Hahah to bad I can’t post pics here🤦♂️
Bendiciones 🌹😘
Just use an old can, cut off both end & rub inside with olive oil or coconut oil or any oil. Roll it between your hands when it gets cool. It will shrink away from the sides as it cools.
This video had been very informative. I collect flowers from our yard, then I dry the flowers for potpourri. And I prepare our candles and candle warmers to save us money without sacrificing interior comfort. So, I thought... well, 'why not incorporate some of my dry flowers into candles for a simplistic floral appeal?'. These types of candles retail for $12.99 + (at least those that I'd want to buy that I found at Home Goods). My only concern is safety..... so placing the dried flowers near the exterior (corners) is fine as long as the flame doesn't touch the florals, right? I just want to ask... to be on the same safe. I'm contemplating to prepare an over-abundant of homemade floral candles for this upcoming Christmas.... so, how many flowers is too much per candle? I'll start off w/ minimal florals. Though... is there like a limitation of how many florals can be used per candle regarding safety precautions? Thank you so much!
We used old cans & milk cartons, can’t remember details, I think the teachers helped a lot. We had both ends cut off the tin cans & we rubbed them inside with cooking oil. Then when they cool the wax shrinks away from the sides & we just rolled them in our hands til the wax came out. I remember we dropped small leaves in our candles. The milk cartons were filled about half way then just peeled off when cool
Are the dry flowers gonna go brown after a while? I make soap too and haven't used dry flower buds since my first batch of bars because they turn brown and ruin the whole color.
Can you help? I’m trying to place dried flowers on the mold walls by brushing on thin layer of uncolored paraffin, planning to pour color in later. As soon as the wax touches the side of the mold it hardens instantly, and the flowers/leaves won’t stick. Even when I dab the flowers with wax, by the time (fraction of a second) I try to place the flower, the wax is too cool to adhere. Is there a solution?
Why do you not answer people's queries? A few people have asked you the correct temperature to get the wax boiled to? Another person asked you where to get the dried flowers from? I will give a 'like' and 'subscribe' to this video when you have bothered to answer their queries as they have taken their time and bothered to watch your video. Please don't get offended by this comment. It is in good faith.
I get about 50 questions a day even more as I have a lot of videos up. It’s really hard to keep up and answer them all. I Usually try to answer it the first time it’s asked on a particular video but after that I can’t really keep answering the same question on the same video
I’m sorry, but I don’t believe it is her responsibility to answer every question someone posts. Take some initiative. You could have looked up the answers to both of your question within the amount of time it took you to ask her yours. Also, holding your likes and subscription ransom to persuade her to answer you is immature, and I’m surprised she responded to you whatsoever. All in good faith.

Really educational and very well done. Thank you for sharing!!

Beautiful!
Great video. I definitely like the flowers done after the candles have set. They are more visible.
I think I do too
Whatl do you call the long prong you put down centre of candle. Are they safe to burn. Thanks great video x
I liked how the flowers looked ! Thank you
Be fun to put a LED lighting the center tooo
I’m not sure if that would work as when you used your candle the flame would burn down

Lovely video! Would you mind making a moisturizing candle tutorial? That would be amazing! 😍
what do you mean by moisturizing ?

Love this
Thank you I've learnt so much from your Videos 🤗
Hi, are the flowers flammable, please make a video where you are burning them. Unless they are just for decorating
Sheri❤⚘️
When the candles are burned, what happens to the flowers? Do they burn also? Do they smoke differently? Are the decorative candles SAFE to burn😮?
I hope you had a lovely birthday🎂. Nice candles very interesting.
Thank you 😊

What a great video! Thank you ❤ for some reason I don’t see the links sorry, can you help?
Found it! Thank you!
Happy Happy Birthday
Can you please put up a video on how to place your photos on the pillar candles
Can do. I will add the idea to my list
Can i also use printed flowers? Like not real dried flowers?
How would you add seashells into a pillar
❤❤❤❤

Dont use melted wax to stick on dried flowers. It looks a mess. Use Mod Podge.
I know you heat till 90-95 but What temperature did you wait for it to go down too before pouring it in?
is the wax for adhesive the flower a special wax ?
Hello can you share the decorate flowers links where we will get it plz
It’s on my Amazon store
I love your work you inspire meee🤗
Thanks.
What wax do you use
Thank you
👍👍👍👍👍
So how can we dried the flowers?
Most important part of the video with no info 👎🏻
You can buy them or take some flowers from outside and put them in between the pages of a heavy book
What is the correct temperature to get the wax to, so it is not too hot that would melt the wax holding the flowers already inside of the mold?
All depends on what wax you use. Different types and brands have different pouring temperatures
190-195 degrees F
Please how do one get wick here in Nigeria
Um dry flowers on the outside? Ive never seen dead flowers on outside of a candle. Maybe on the inside, though
Is paraffin wax good for pillar candle making?
Yes it can be. Paraffin wax sets with more of a clear base then soy
You and also just use a hairdryer on an existing candle and add the flowers, no wax needed.
good tip
@@sherivegasartist We used it to embed photos printed on paper in the wax around the pillar candles
Can I use artificial flower?
can i also put the flowers on the top of the candle?
You could if you want to. But this style of candle is a Cathedral style and is design to burn down throw the Centre leaving the outside
What kind of glue tac should I use?
Honestly any kind you have around the house
What is the container size
Happy birthday 🥳 💐🍾
Thank you

Where can you purchase dried fall flowers?
Amazon
Safe to burn?
Flowers don’t catch fire??? I did a candle w dry flowers and catches fire
What is the degree to srilanka to add the fragrance? My country is v hot country. Im new to this subject. I wanna start this candle business
She looks like she’s using palm wax. Soy or coconut wax don’t come in sand form.
Why do you bother putting in a wick if it's decorative?
Because then it would just be a lump of wax. You can burn these candles if you want
Can you please multitask. Most watchers dont want to listen to unnessasary monologue. You can cut this video in half.
