i tried for age's to fit a new needle in, but was hitting the foot each time with the sharp end and could not get it into the hole. could not understand why, until i realized and turned the knob on the right hand side of the machine and that lifted the needle shaft up higher and it just slotted straight in. if she had mentioned that to make sure it was up to it's highest point, it would of helped me a lot.

Where do you find those needles? I just got an older model that specifies 2054 overlock needles and I can't find anything that states that when I'm in a store or looking online. =/

What are the completable schmetz and organ needles for this machine?
My brother 1034d uses regular but want to pick this one up for 2/3 thread so I don't have to keep rethreading to change.

Pls does it accept all needle. I have been trying to tighten the needles but they keep falling off 😥

I had this same exact problem using universal needles so I switched to the needles that came with the machine and it worked. They are Cat. N° 2022 90/14 singer needles.
