OMG, I got this serger from my Patient a long time ago and I couldn't tread it and use it, I’ve been looking at youtube videos on how to use it. finally, you are the one who makes it easy and simple I have no words... Thank you very much.
I’ve had my machine for at least 15 years and couldn’t use it despite hours of watching videos. Thanks to your video and another I can now use it……so so happy! Thank you. I hadn’t been threading it properly for one and secondly, my thread kept breaking only to find out the thread was too old. As soon as I used new thread and threaded as you suggest…. I’m off and running!
Thank you for this video. It was short, sweet and to the point. I was using my serger within 25 minutes! Yay! I'm so excited now to start finishing my seams and many more projects.
You’re positive attitude came through and I have gotten three spools threaded. The fourth spool is hiding in the spare room. I’ll get there I promise! Thank you for the encouragement. My machine was an unexpected free gift. “Hey Amanda do you know anyone who could use a serger machine?” Amanda looked at me and I said yes. Didn’t even seriously pray for one. More like a prayer wish list to God. Unbelievable.
My god!! Thank you!!! I have a serger gifted to me and actually broke a looper needle trying to re-thread the yellow lower looper, time and MONEY I didnt intend on spending since I took the looper needle off! And needed the timing fixed after reinstalling it myself.... now rethreading the SAME needle I realized while watching your video that the arm cover comes off giving me access to the inner arm of the lower looper needle with its teeeeeeeenytiny hole on the side!!!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽thank you!
Followed the guide as best as I could. Got to the end where you gave your tip and realised mine was already threaded with a bit of thread when I got it. Grrrrr
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I had this serger for 6 years and couldn't tread it properly, ii packed it up to the box again. & I bought myself another serger that wasn't so difficult to thread. Thanks now I can use them both.
Thank you for this! My machine got all bunched up last night and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. This video helped me tremendously. I use it every time I have to rethread.
Thanks a bunch for this helpful video. Been working on an older 14U44, which has knobs on the front panel not dials like yours. It’s been a trip and a half, oh what fun😢😅😂
Thank you for this very informative tutorial! I had rethreaded my server and couldn't get it to work correctly. After watching your video, I found out it wasn't threaded correctly and that's why it wasn't working. Great job explaining and showing how to maneuver the thread.
I have a chain which means I threaded it correctly, I think. That’s it for the night. I celebrate small victories after tedious work of threading four threads. Tomorrow’s mission is getting the correct tension. I accept the challenge!!
Hi! I want to purchase the same model second hand but I can't understand if you can youse standard sewing machine needles like most modern sergers... I can't find the original needles anywhere! In the manual they say you can in a pinch but you have to change the tension (?) but I don't understand if it actually works well for long time use. Thank you
I thank you. I like your video. You explain a lot. Can you tell how to use the other plate on your surgery and how to use the tree thread? Search when you're doing Naruto, search for napkins, thank you.
Thanks for watching 🙂 as far as I know it's only the one plate that can be used. I'm not familiar with the 3 thread stitch, but it should be quite simple. There is a free manual available on line that would explain it.
Hmm, I've never thought of that! Some spots are very tight, but I may be inclined to try this. My only concern would be of the off chance of the needle breaking in the machine, especially since you'd need a very thin one
It will vary depending on machine, fabric, job, etc. I suggest practicing on scraps and adjusting one dial at a time until you get it set the way you want. Another great tip is to put a different colour thread in each spot so you can see what each one does

Thank you so much for watching and leaving your kind words. I'm glad I could help
This is a lifesaver! Hope to see other videos about using this machine, I had given up hope on how to use this older machine.
Oh yay! Hope you can get yours going

Oh what a great achievement!! 15 years is a long time to wait!

Thank you, this tutorial is the absolute best.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I threaded for the first time in less than 30 minutes. You’re awesome!
You're welcome!

Oh nooooooo. I also didn't know that cover could come off for the longest time! Have you found the manual online to download?
Thank you so much for this instructional video. It is the best I’ve seen so far, and it was extremely helpful for me❤️
You are so welcome!
Very helpful. The only video that taught me how to thread my serger. Thank you.
That's a powerful comment! Thank you for watching
Thank you for your video, I am able to thread my machine now. I am so happy ❤❤❤❤

Thank you! I bought this exact machine from goodwill, without the manual (I did download/print one) your video has been super helpful!
Great! It's an awesome machine. Mine was second hand too
very helpful, especially changing threads
, thanks

Thank you so much do you have any tips on how to use it
Practice practice practice. Figure out which threads do what. Try to keep a straight line and try not to get frustrated easily. Have fun!
Really well presented!
Thank you Ethel!
Thank you. You did an awesome job.
Thank you!
Best tutorial ever!!!!!
Glad it helped 😀
I have this machine. I got it in the mid 90s.
Thank you this was so helpful.😊
Glad it was helpful!
So helpful thank you! Was so intimidated until this video❤
Oh good! You're welcome. They can be super intimidating!

No, with my machine it will only take its own needles. The shank is different
Thank You!!!🥳🎉🎉🎉this explains what I needed!
Glad I could help!
Pls how can u set the tension for a stretchy stitch
You will want to look at the differential. Consult your manual and play around on scraps until you get the desired outcome
Thank you thank you thank you

Hi where did u get your trim catcher??
This one came with another machine of mine. I think there's some patterns to make them online
@@seasonallyproductive oh =] thank u!
Thanks. This was super helpful
Thank you. I had a moment now I'm good.
Thank you for this😊
You're welcome!
Thanks sister good luck
I need the instructions on how to go through the hole in that silver thing on the top back of the machine
Yes so true
Can you thread a needle and use the needle as a guide through all the hooks?
Hmm, I've never thought of that! Some spots are very tight, but I may be inclined to try this. My only concern would be of the off chance of the needle breaking in the machine, especially since you'd need a very thin one

thank you!!
You're welcome!
Thank you.....
I love your way .you are so funny
Thank you so much!
How many needles
This one has 2 needles
Só nice share your video
thank you
Right when it gets to 9:50, the part that I need, the video goes dark and I can’t see what you are doing. 😢
Thanks for letting me know. I will look into this!
Great
Thank you
You didn't show us the numbers we should turn it to after threading. The video was really helpful
