about how he switched teams lol they will not need 30 min for dis bum more like 5 sec
Yeah on the decision to go to Miami, leaving Miami and his relationship with Kyrie that led to him leaving Cleveland again

He donated the 1 million dollars that ESPN paid him directly to the Boys and Girls Club of Akron, Ohio. Everyone forgets that. They even mentioned it at the end of the show. To me, that makes The Decision the right choice. He took the opportunity to make a million dollars for the less fortunate kids of his home town. A million dollars; that only he could earn, just by saying a few words, all for the kids. For that he's a winner and a man in my books.
Many years later he opened a school for the less fortunate in Akron, with paid scholarships to university for the graduates. Think about that...
And free bikes and food with free bus rides this guy really doing it
He could have given that money without this vain self promotion.
@@mediacenterman8583 true but I really don't think he would have done it without the donation to the kids. It was more about them than him for sure. ESPN kind of ruined it by dragging it out and making it into the spectical it wasn't. They obviously wanted their million dollars worth. It should have been 10 minutes max.
DB 007 I hate when people say what other people could have just did with their money ... like of course I believe he definitely could but if someone told you we will give you a million dollars for something you had to do anyway for free why wouldn’t for all we know he could have matched it

@Erik Lerström Why shouldn't the league be decided by the people that make it money?
Those Miami rings don’t even count. Those are sellout rings. 😂
@Erik Lerström Perhaps they wouldn't 'coldly' calculate where to play if general managers, owners, and investors didn't 'coldly' calculate how to turn the biggest profit often at the expense of "success". When you write off players as expendable commodities IN SPITE of their play and greatness, they'll follow suit and adopt your business repertoire. The Okc front office was unwilling to make the drastic moves to accommodate KD (wouldn't even pay luxury tax for Harden), so KD made a drastic move of his own. Not a fan of it, but I understand the fatigue of giving everything for an organization unwilling to give anything to win.
@Erik Lerström I see what you mean. Like I said, not a huge fan of the 'superteam' trend that's been developing in the league. I actually would've loved to see Kd in Boston. I'm surprised a phone call from Brady wasn't convincing enough. Dude was rly itching for a ring; wasn't even willing to tough it out a couple years with arguably the best organization in basketball smh
KD is the weakest superstar the NBA has ever produced. When Lebron moved to Miami it was bad. But KD 1up him. Imagine if Kobe joined the Spurs with prime TD, Ginobli & Parker.
If people say, that the worst thing LeBron ever did was make a decision that led to a whole state being butt hurt because he decided to go to a different team, I’m gonna say he’s lived a darn near perfect life, on and off the court.
You should find Jesus

It might be because they don't want the quality to be better than what you can get on their channel. They might rather want people to go to ESPN than to RUclips.

What annoyed back then and still does is that Lebron didn't break any rules when he went to Miami. He exercised his right as a free agent. But when the rich white guys in the office exercise their right to trade or cut a player(and in some cases the player finds out from the media or internet that he's been traded) nobody has a problem with that. There is never outrage about how teams treat players. Huge double standard.
kuunami Exactly, like wtf?? Derozan, for example, found out he got traded when he was just getting food from McDonalds or some shit. Just like that, traded. And no one got a problem with that?
kuunami who cares they white?
kuunami true that.

Except there is lmao dumbass
LeBron is also the only player to change teams and raise Money for charity in the process.
I can understand why people would get on Kd for joining Gs even though it was in his best interest. But with bron, it was all Gilberts fault. How do you have the best player in the league and fail to provide him any help for years ? People of Cleveland should have been furious at him , not Bron who didnt wanna waste away his prime like so many before him.
True

I never understood all the crying behind The Decision. Like Maverick said, they did something that hadn’t been done before. That was always the main takeaway for me. It was the NBA’s most talked about and highly anticipated UFA decision since Shaquille was one in 1995. If Shaq had done something similar then, LBJ likely wouldn’t have bothered in 2010. But, LBJ’s detractors all acting like they were physically forced at gun point to watch it. Want to know what I did that day? I watched up until he announced where he was taking his talents that fall, and then I changed the channel and continued with the rest of my day and life like a normal person. It really wasn’t terribly difficult to do.
It’s because of the backlash from The Decision that we now see UFA’s announcing their intentions through social media. Which, as far as I can recall, wasn’t anywhere near as prevalent a platform then as it is now.
Gilbert probably wouldn't have been as mad if he hadn't waited until the last day of free agency. Gilbert put a team out the next year with so much salary cap room it was ridiculous, because there was no one left to sign.
Taking risks isn’t enough, you need someone with skill and experience. I really hope Lebron has actual business advisors around him.
If u think about it LeBron James 'The Decision' kind of launched his platform UNINTERRUPTED. Giving athletes thier own unfiltered uninterrupted POV
My bad 😂

ESPN still milking the decision now
I thought it was cool when he left. If you closely watched those Cavs games, it was totally upsetting that their front office was inept to build a decent team around the best player of the generation. He deserved better and he got it, now twice. That’s on Cleveland.
Respect to LeBron for not pointing fingers. Most woulda fired Maverick on da spot. Turned out to be a great decision not to.
Can’t wait for lebron to just reflect on his career after he’s done. I’m a heat fan, so I have supported him all the way through. This clip is so interesting
Can’t wait for the 30 for 30 on EVERYTHING about LeBron’s Miami career.

If you’re tired of seeing Lebron on ESPN, tell Lebron to stop being the best basketball player we’ve ever seen. Or just don’t watch ESPN.
Just the fact that it was so public was the problem for me. LeBron wants to leave Cleveland fine, but don't do it on television.

They really couldn’t get 2 more grey sheets to finish the background? This is ESPN!
Lebron's 30 for 30 is going to be very interesting.
People are wild. This man single handedly revived a team, city and state by playing; when he wants to make a change he's disloyal, how? He's grown and can do what he wants. They expected to ride on LaBron's back in one place till he retired? That's not how it works. He did what was best so he could rise and shine.
The owners are irrelevant, I can only image how much MONEY they made off LaBron all those years. They only howled when their cash cow was leaving. Smh.
Damn did ESPN really feel the need to film these guys reflecting on "the decision"? Espn gotta stop riding bron, and all these guys in the film are just full of themselves. This is dumb
At 2:48 LeBron wanted to say nigga soooo bad 😂😂😂
However it wasn't LeBron's fault making this decision I know you never want to leave his home... I'm sure Cleveland organization was trying to get Bosh and Wade as well but they couldn't.... when LeBron came to Miami he wanted to test could he ever win a title and the answer is yes you could but it will require you get along with your team instead of doing yourself
Watching the More than an Athlete on ABC-7 today. This is a great video! But the shaky camera work and sound recording from the big screen is terrible!
I would like to use this moment to give a spot on how Lebron's role is underappreciated compared to Jordan's. Prior to 'the decision', he took Cavs, a team with arguably no star to NBA finals. And he wasn't even 25 yo. Jordan wasn't any inferior to this. He scored like 40 ppg in his own era prior to Pippen. But then there's Pippen. And Pippen made everything happened for Jordan. We all know Lebron had Wade, but he had him in Miami. In another team. We shouldn't ignore that he made blunder even when Wade & Bosh were there but this lost was necessary for James to shape his mentality into the King we know by now. The point is, Jordan had better chance & opportunity with his Bulls team than Lebron. He not only had Pippen, but also Phil Jackson and then Rodman etc. The team knew Jordan's value, trusted him, and willing to try to build something together with him, which was succeeded. Lebron had Dan Gilbert. He didn't bring any help for Lebron, instead he accused him of betrayal; after all the finals Lebron carried them to. Yes Dan got his second chance when Lebron got back and he had Kyrie & Love for him. And voila, championship for Cleveland. Warriors was already godlike even without KD. After KD came, you could consider it force major. Ignoring the turmoil that is happening within the team right now, I'm not sure if even 96 Bulls team could win against Warriors. Lebron is on par with MJ. We can carry on the GOAT debate after he is retired. For now, let's just not only witness, but appreciate his greatness.
“I can be in a plane by myself and it wouldnt be as quiet”... yea no kidding, in that situation youre waiting for anything to be said by lebron or anyone that is encouraging... instead youre seeing the state of ohio go up in flames because of your decision..
The way he did it and the flexing while being introduced with wade and bosh that s what was wrong

I'm tired of hearing people justify Lebron going to Miami because KD joined the Warriors. It's the same shit. They did it in different ways, still the same shit. Both of them are pussies for being the 2 best players in the League and joining SuperTeams. End of story.
The Point is, if Lebron never formed a Superteam in Miami, you can't say KD would've been inspired join the Warriors. He joined them to compete against LeBron, the only superstar I know of that likes to bitch about his players. He is an acting GM of his Team, same time acting coach.
KD doesn't have that kind of Power, so he joined the Warriors to form a Superteam himself. Inspired by Lebron the crybaby Superstar. 👍

I’m the only one in the world that actually didn’t think it wasn’t as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Social media wasn’t the way it is now so in the contrary it was a great way to let everyone know what they were asking and waiting to hear. Oh I’m from Ohio as well so that’s that #Lebron #NBA
History shows he did the right thing in leaving and returning and learning again looks pretty good too.
LeBron’s equivalent of Durant’s decision is if he went to Boston, to join Pierce, Allen and Garnett. The Heat don’t win any more Finals even if they add Bosh, we can assume based on 73 wins and 1 win away from back to backs that the Warriors would still be winning without KD. LeBron has also never had an MVP caliber teammate he played with outside of 2011 w/ Wade
In 5 years lebron will on every sports network 😂😂
Where's the entire thing?
The decision was correct = 4 years in Miami = 4 Finals = 2 rings plus the primer Pat Riley gave him = 4 more finals = 1 ring.
TnT's parody with the decision is better than the actual one lol
@3:13 sounds like LeBron realized he made the wrong decision 😵

I LOVE “THE DECISION”
Leave it to Lebron to make a documentary about himself. #notthegoat
The problem was how it was handled. I personally thought he should’ve at least let Cleveland know that they was a possibility he wouldn’t stay. It was almost like a slap in the Cavs face becuz of the stage it was on. Everything else was fine. I’m not a LeBron or Cavs fan but I did feel bad for Ohio. Lebron is free to go where he wants and how to spend his money. Unfortunately, after Dan Gilbert said what he said, I changed my mind and supported The Decision based on Dan’s true colors.
Lmao lebron's decision ultimately came down to that he didn't want to be the stuck giving the best years of his life to a losing team. They want everyone to be Kevin Garnett and Steve Nash loyal to a losing team for 10+ years that they're basically solo carrying. Same people that want this I bet are the same whos always like "but does he got a ring tho..." when goat status gets brought up.
ESPN played a role too, like I am I like how they're the ones reporting the story and pretending like as an organization they're innocent
