This young man is looking out for the best interest of the athletes who have so often been taken advantage of by team owners and leagues. The ones who do all the hard work putting their bodies through the rigors of athleticism with injuries and so on while owners/leagues run the show. It is wonderful to see someone there to protect and look out for them. Thank you, young man! ❤
💯
Is 42 really young?
Well said and very very true!!!
😢😊
Kind of their job wouldn’t you agree? Not being clever but how would anyone benefit from an agent who is siding with the team and not the athlete? They are the first line of defense and have clearance to operate and move within any facility or building their client is in. Agents are literally power of attorneys for most pro athletes, they have a shared interest for mutual benefit and the “player” is basically saying wherever my agent is I am and he speaks for me. Good business begets good clients which in turn become friends. Rich is a heartwarming story but the real test will be when lebron retires. Scott Boras is a prime example of an entire league of owners who dread talking with him when negotiations begin. Btw, I speak only as someone who works with attorneys in contractual law mitigation (mainly predatory loans issued to individuals with no credit but have decent disposable income) and it gets dirty even at the lower levels, especially if an agent isn’t involved. Banks, credit card companies, mtg companies ,car finance companies, all want a piece of the pie.
I’m glad he said “when it was someone that didn’t look like me, it was genius. It was why you get a power agent, but when it’s me, I’m destroying the league?” Right there. 👏
Absolutely massive right there. BUT they know we aint waiting no more for them to throw us a parade, we running a festival ourselves in this bih!
Black people don't wanna watch middle men in business. They want to see owners. To play in capitalism you need access to capital and that's where institutional racism comes into it, remember redlining!
Just curious, but why did that statement make you glad? What did it do for you personally?
@@HappyYankeeFanhe said it out loud it’s going to be seen by millions of people like you … and you’ll have to think about it for a few seconds and ask condescending questions like that just because you can’t make sense of any of it … (being rational) .
Don’t be obtuse… Smh
@@HappyYankeeFanYour question is fair. I think culturally for “us” we value virtues like righteousness, justice, fairness etc., and we recognize that many of the barriers that exists in our system are based on racists propaganda designed to shape public opinion against Black folk - particularly men. So of course we will be happy when prominent Blacks identify this propaganda and double standards and speak out against it for all to see. Our “happiness” isn’t always tied to our own “personal[]” benefit its tied to principle and people that extend beyond our own individual horizons.
Good for Rich Paul and how he developed himself and his company!!!! Keep it pushing!!!!

@@book2316man quit it with the negativity.
Now he needs to get rid of that Karen he's tethered too
I must admit, I never knew much about Rich Paul other than he’s Bron’s friend who’s dating Adele. But this clip informed me ALOT, and I’m loving the man. He’s very inspirational, and a breath of fresh air. Nice work.
Yes, very inspirational.
Good for him.
Let me guess your thoughts were negative?
@@Brodiejessie1470 not at all. Just didn’t know much about the man.
this story too short to tell the strings he pulls.
Much respect to him. I knew nothing of him before today. Thanks for this interview.
first time i heard of him was in 2014 when I was closely following LeBron's free agency in the summer. This man knew how good of a business decision it was for LeBron to come home and it paid off for absolutely everyone. Love this man!
I'm so glad for him very humble
Rich Paul literally carved himself into history. His perspective and wisdom are not forced.

Rich Paul had a cool story about Kobe Bryant in his tribute. He said this about Kobe when they met each other, "Before I was anybody, you treated me like I was somebody." Now he's the world best sports agent 💪👏😊
Rich Paul, you are my kind of businessman. Congrats on your success and keep thriving...you deserve it.
His ability to elevate his mind social skills and just overall billionaire life is what's most impressive to me. The epitome of being your true self no matter who is in the room.
Mad respect for this young man. I wish him nothing but greatness. I respect a hard working man.
Amazing story. I wish his dad would have been here to see his son’s success
Started from the bottom now he’s here🎶 I totally respect the grind!!
Watched this last night on tv in Cleveland. Im so happy for this man. Cleveland strong 💪 cheers brother. Nothing is given everything is earned. Thats Cleveland
I’ve got cousins from the 216. And all I can do is send my blessings to “THE LAND”!
O H I O
What this proves to me is that, Rich Paul got his street knowledge, which is better than some colleges and use it to his advantage. I came from the streets and I was a Vice President, CFO, am a CPA, Finra Arbitrator, Insurance agent and I have other licenses. I got my instincts from the streets. I am also a college graduate. Thanks to the Streets. I had a lot of fun too.
Can't speak on it bruh, but maybe smart is smart and nothing to do with the "streets"? What it does prove though is that you can't count out folks from the "streets" just on account of background. I suspect Rich Paul like yourself would always be a naturally smart person regardless of the streets or otherwise. Of course there are lessons in all of our experiences which also help shape us. Good luck my brother.
@@fistandpen2505Excellently narrated!
Love your post. Nothing wrong with lessons from the streets. You just don’t let the streets overwhelm and overpower you
@@fistandpen2505 I think street knowledge just means intuition. But you definitely gotta be amongst ppl to grow in this category. Street knowledge is separate from book smart intelligence. But one who masters both, is unique. One can read all the books, but lack intuition and experience.
Thank you for this response! Street life/culture shouldn't be glorified or attached primarily to certain populations of people.
Very impressive man. Love how he is making a point to teach his clients and team.
Loved listening to his story. Never knew nothing about him!
This interview was very insightful and I sent it to my grandson who is only 26 years old . He mentors and coaches elementary age children and he also coaches young individually to have more confidence in themselves and he shows them where they're weak and these are just young adults that he has met going to the gym .
Talented, fearless, unapologetic, authentic, resourceful, wise. Salute to Mr. Rich Paul 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. He's speaking all facts!
Goes to show hard work can pay off💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾I know his dad is proud of him!! Congrats youngman!!!!!
I absolutely love Rich Paul! He pulled himself up by his will to succed and educated other young sports talent to believe their value is this business.
This is how business should be done. You consider your client and help them elevate their lives and skills as well. Listen and watch, hone your skills. Continue to learn.
Great story. Glad to see the success of a young black man in pro sports and teaching people how to be successful with money. Anyone saying Lebron put him on yeah he did but if he didn’t work hard at his craft and get these deals done, he would have been one and done.
For lebron to have brought him along, he must’ve seen a lot of potential
Yeah. LeBron at 18 saw a lot of potential in his friend. A real visionary on and off the court
That moment…to be a fly on the wall. Man.
Big up to this brother for overcoming so many obstacles but not falling victim. As an ex felon who is slowly but surely building his portfolio and his positive future, I can certainly identify with his overcoming of the odds he faced.
“It feels earned. It wasn’t given. Which is good. I like that”
...so much admiration for this young man. He got IT!
I listen to any interview Rich Paul is on. I'm definitely buying his book!
Humble, hardworking, dedicated, respectful, loyal and committed. I have the uttermost respect, admiration and appreciation for him. I now understand why he and Adele make such an amazing couple. They complement each other beautifully well together.
Congrats on all the achievements Rich. A true inspiration for motivation and success, for not only for us here in Cleveland, but also globally. Keep thriving My Guy.
Great interview Rich...! Really inspiring... Congratulations on all your success, now & in the future.
So inspiring, what an awesome interview. Blessings upon blessing to you Rich Paul!
Gotta be one of the most inspirational segments I've seen in a while.
Amazing. He got his chance and he crushed it!!
Love him. His tenacity. His grit. His journey.
Interviewer: Sounds like you’re comfortable rolling the dice...
Rich Paul: I was born a dice-roller 🎲
What a blessing it was for him to meet James.
Congrats to you Rich Paul blessings to you and your business.🙏❤❤❤❤
Love learning people’s stories!
What an amazing story. Watery Eyes were in full effect while watching this. Keep Winning Rich P. 💯💯💯
I'm so inspired by this was feeling alittle down but there's still hope for me. Thanks, Rich Paul and may God continue to bless you 🫂🇧🇧🇧🇧
This man is inspiring!!
Lol
So many people would have wasted the opportunity, and simply put their hands out… Glad to see he took full advantage
I love these kinds of stories. Exactly what I need to hear to keep pursuing forward.
Aloha. I remember bumping into Rich Paul a few times in Cleveland before he was really known. I love seeing the progression and maturation! Right on Rich! 🤙🏾🏄🏾✊🏾
This was a great episode! 👏🏼
Wow he is so honest and humble that makes him in my eyes somebody
Anthony Davis firing his agent because he was tired of losing 😂
That is pretty humorous, isn't it....
My man Charleston white what up though
@@Cripsandbloodsaresellouts yea yea yea, i'm hanging in there, whats good with ya homie?
I guess he blamed his agent for him being accident and injury prone too. 😂
😂
1. Father in his life
2. Normal name
3. Took advantage of opportunities
4. Listen > Talk
5. Will transfer his wealth back to the majority community just like those w/o a "normal name" who make it.
What does his so-called "normal name" have to do with anything? 🤔Barack Obama didn't have a "normal name"... and in fact he was teased about his name his whole life. But he still got his law degree from Harvard and was elected twice as President of the United States.
He is an ultimate risk taker with a bit of luck on his side. That Lebron story was remarkable! Awesome interview!
Hats off to this dude for sticking with the right words to describe the odds against him. Bigger than some can image and humble to the core.
He use to be in my hood we know rich.. good dude
man my cousin lil ray used to stay on Woodside by that school. Im from E.C.
This man deserves his flowers!! Congratulations on all the success Rich!!!
I’m truly proud of him ❤
The guy doing the interview is Looking at him like a proud father!!! ❤❤❤
he comes across as being very calm, gentle, centred and grounded refreshing.
And he still fly DELTA, with no problem 😂.
True inspiration and legend in the game. I’m getting him memoir before my next flight
It’s crazy how the NBA tried to keep him out with the Rich Paul rule !!!
That was the NCAA mostly.
It was, but the NCAA had to eat it!
So glad to hear him saying that the rough and sometimes brutal streets of Cleveland prepared him for greatness! Salute you my brother all the way from the #216. #THE LAND
His book is sooooo good. I haven’t been able to put it down. I love a real rags to riches story
Congratulations Rich Paul , you’re inspiring for the youngsters
“Open air casino” is an interesting way to put it.
Docu-series in the works👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽, this sports strategic intellectual need his story told 😊Bro is so chill, more power to him.
Excellent Interview 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
So humble and inspiring 🙌🏽 keep going Rich!! ❤❤❤
He’s truly blessed 💯
I truly enjoyed this interview. Rich Paul is most inspiring. Just bought his new book!!!
I would love for Rich Paul to hook up with my two sons. The world needs more people like Rich Paul
Rich Paul is the true definition of getting it out the mud and has lived up to and exceeded expectations.
Hi PauI, I watched your interview on 60 men. 10 times. I pray that you are also teaching those young men how to invest for life down the road after sports life. Because later they will be the ball being bounced around. May God continue to bless you!!
Respect to Rich Paul.
Maverick Carter also.
Wow I didn’t know anything about this young man except that he is dating Adele but now I know and boy am I impressed! He’s amazingly ambitious and talented! Glad I clicked on this!
Extremely inspiringly, this is a mindset. It’s about being at the right place at the right time, opportunities presented and execution !
God bless this young man in all that he do.
his 4 years shadowing people was better than college.
You are giving brothers respect and wealth, I love it
Love to see it! There is so much untapped potential in this country, we need to keep pathways open for the poor underprivileged kids. To think that the only people worth giving a chance to are the ones who came from a privileged family is a huge mistake that will slow progress.
Yes,yes they are like hidden gems.
A strong combination of studiously educational lessons from life experience, with absorbed listening skills used proficiently this man molded himself to enable with efficiency towards his own business. He deserves accolades for his success within a cut throat sport business industry. 👏 well earned 👏
He definitely earned his way. Got to respect it
Keep shining my brother we love and support you 🙏🏾🙏🏾
YES! You did earn it. Much love, Rich Paul!
Love these success stories. Keep living large.
I didn't hear him give God the glory. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, belongs to God. If you succeed, give God the glory. You are alive because of his grace and mercy. Every breath belongs to him.
Stop I’m sure he has a relationship with god he don’t have to mention it if he don’t want to
@latrinarandolph66 , to this I say, Jesus said be not ashamed of me, for when the time comes, I will not know you.
I know agents and let me tell you, Rich is a breath of fresh air.
His character got him to where he is.
Then his business savvy.
In that order.
Many agents don’t even need much character.
They sill get business.
I watched this at just the right time. I needed to see that. "It was earned, and I like that". RP
I didn't know much about Rich Paul before this interview. Very impressive human being.
Very inspiring! Lebron put him on however, he did put in the work
I mean everybody got put on by someone 1 way or another
@@pauljohnson2590 very true. I’m only successful bc of ppl
This man is incredible 🖤
Congratulations to Rich Paul. I dig it he got an opportunity and made the best of it.
Earned. People forget about that, these days. Inspiring.
Rich is a genius🎉 Kudos
His blueprint is, to surround himself with up and coming successful people. Not sure that's very original, but he must be doing something right. At this point his agency is so influential, he can negotatiate certain contracts just because the team GMs know, they have to be at peace with him or they are gonna have consequences in other deals.
@@maxmeier532lol you explained his genius, but tried to downplay it
Rich Paul´s success wasn´t given: it was earned. All the blessings!
It was earned and no one can say I gave it to you.
That man is an inspiration for many.
Man speaks truth. Lots of wisdom in this interview that can be applied in various facets of life.
I am happy for him. I pray he gives back to those who are in the same position he used to be when he was young.
I pray he teaches them how to be a victor not a victim!
You first!
Much respect Mr Paul! Keep moving forward!
Well deserved Rich Paul. Great representation of the culture. Black excellence. He's an icon and I wish him more life and much success. I know his parents are proud. I wish they were here to see their star shining so bright
Great interview. Very informative and insightful on his success and character. Continued blessings to him for knowing his worth and creating his own lane and success! Awesome
This was a good interview.😊
Hard work, endurance, passion for success 🤝🏾💯
