A lot of people don't realize having kids is a choice. I like kids, just didn't want the responsibility or expense. I'm 63 with no regrets. A lot of people my age are financially helping their adult kids or raising grand kids. I've also learned at a young age to avoid debt as much as possible.

In India people leave their parents at old age and don't want to take care of them. It happens in most of the cases and also they fight for their share in the property and pension as well but they cannot serve their old age parents or even take their health care. When their parents die they occupy the property and fight with the other siblings who have taken care at the end stage of their parents. So sometimes it feels that having no kids is a better choice.
It's parents choice to write will to give away their property to anywhere else. Or use it up in their lifetime. Second there is nothing wrong in better old age homes. If you can't stay at home, nobody is there even to talk to older ppl, it's better they r in safe comfortable zone where they can live in independent space , talk to their age group.. In India , the privilege of taken care by kids is only for boys parents. From 1000s of years , parents with only girls kids should be alone , and no one will take care of them. Even daughters taking care of parents is done only in this generation, else that privilege is not fit them even in 80s 90s. Nobody should expect that someone ll take care of them They should take care of themselves. It's again good to be old age homes than stay at confined spaces in cities within 4 walls, no one to talk, no body is at home, even if they fall, or any heart attack etc nobody will be around to take care of emergency situation.. If they r in old age homes these things are addressed and also they get to talk to their age people .

I work as NLP coach, trauma healer and Numerlogist. 10 years ago, I strongly felt (based on trend, climate ,economy global circumstances), it's better to not bring another human being on earth. He/She is only going to suffer and blame you for same . Besides, look at GEN Z. Despite being a grown up adult, they're messed up big time. How is going to be further generation. Above all, one needs to justify his/her own existence And do something meaningful, feel and know life closely, discover yourself and x serve your true soul purpose and be content in your last days. We're are obligated under family pressure, society and self satisfaction of our own further generation N "VANSH". Pass on our dreams, expectations on kids and then it's an endless cycle of stress, Bills, mortgage, loans, PTM and soul crushing daily routine.
Isn't it selfish to think that your children should take care of you when you are old. What if they want to immigrate to another country? Should they hold their dreams back for their parents? I'd call that messed up.
That being said, every society/religion/civilization has mandated that kids are supposed to take care of their parents in old age. Nothing selfish regarding that.
I know of a community that would like the entire world go DINK for coming 50yrs but themselves, and their long cherished dream is as good as fulfilled.
Cost of rasing a child is one of issue. But the main reason is - 1.Terrible work culture in indian cos.. they have zero work life balance 2. Zero support system - no elders or parents who help in raising and looking after kids 3. Cost of living is become unaffordable if only one partner works.. as most couples are not emi free .
Yes the parents who come by home at 9 pm after doing job and traveling for almost 12 hours are expected to sleep cook and take care of their child's home work etc within remaining 12 hours
Today's elders are old to run behind kids.. like old generation by 40 they will have grandchildren, . But today, thanks to late marriages and late kids.. if we have kids at 30 32 , our parents will be 60 65. They really can't match today's kids level Also sorry to say but our elders I don't generalize here have no value system. Their apathy towards handicapped, racism , or even bitching relatives is not a great value system that kids should take from but unfortunately this is what they have to offer. In front of kids they talk about somones disability, or talk saying someone is dark , short etc kind of words. Or talk about their caste , Or scolding relatives and say elders have good valuesystem. Not all , only few are able to give kids good value system

So people who don't wish to parent kids or are too poor to afford will be doing a favour by not reproducing.

A lot of people don't realize having kids is a choice. I like kids, just didn't want the responsibility or expense. I'm 63 with no regrets. A lot of people my age are financially helping their adult kids or raising grand kids. I've also learned at a young age to avoid debt as much as possible.
Just asking how am I suppose to find a partner with this mindset?
@@vaibhavkumar9072 It can be difficult. I guess the question becomes what's more important to you. Being firm with you're child free stance, or being open to compromise.
You sir are an inspiration for many childfree individuals.
Nobody should expect that someone ll take care of them
They should take care of themselves.
It's again good to be old age homes than stay at confined spaces in cities within 4 walls, no one to talk, no body is at home, even if they fall, or any heart attack etc nobody will be around to take care of emergency situation..
If they r in old age homes these things are addressed and also they get to talk to their age people .
To have more peace and easy progress go Dink. The 👌

Looking at prices and cost of living in Bharat, DINK seems to be a good idea.
Bharat is still manageable if you don't live in mumbai delhi or bangalore.

But the main reason is -
1.Terrible work culture in indian cos.. they have zero work life balance
2. Zero support system - no elders or parents who help in raising and looking after kids
They really can't match today's kids level
Also sorry to say but our elders I don't generalize here have no value system.
Their apathy towards handicapped, racism , or even bitching relatives is not a great value system that kids should take from but unfortunately this is what they have to offer.
In front of kids they talk about somones disability, or talk saying someone is dark , short etc kind of words.
Or talk about their caste ,
Or scolding relatives and say elders have good valuesystem. Not all , only few are able to give kids good value system

Raise children in a developed country is very difficult it seems.
This is why civilizations dont go to stellar or galactic level
What's your point ? Care to elaborate ?
@@VishalSingh-gh7qz civilizations fall into there own humanitarian and comfort centered ways of thinking and dont prpgress to higher level of devlopment
What would be the ultimate end then?

So sad to see society dying like this.
Take from us to save the society
@@राकेश_रेल No, taking from anyone won't help, it would just delay the rot.
@@kjnoah indian people culturally adaptive take US as example
@@राकेश_रेल "take from us" kya yaar bhai 😂😂
I am telling you, only muslims will be in majority everywhere and I fear that world😢
Already Indian population is marching towards 200 Crore, which is disastrous one for India,So if this DINK grows well in India,This is very good for the country atleast population will go down to larger extent
Palki on Elon was terreffic! Liked it much! 🤝

Interesting analysis! Keep the good work!!!
My wife and I are DINKS but it wasn’t our choice. We tried to have children but were unsuccessful. So what we would have spent on children we save instead.
It's a plant over EVERYTHING for me... that's all i can afford to raise in this generation 😂
When I did MBA (US), my (asian origin) professor use to say
1) For Americans 1 + 1 = 2.5
2) For Indians and Chinese and Middle Easterns 1 + 1 = 15
U come always with new topic ...thanks palki 😊❤
Only DINKS can sleep
Peacefully and
Rest at ease .
$160,000 ( 1.25 Crore Rupees) for raising a child in India is rubbish. This is not even a lifetime income for majority.
whatever your reason to be a DINK/SINK: I salute you, and please don't take any shit from society, friends or family, or anyone because of your childfree decision!
