That's interesting. I bought one of these new back in the 90s. I still have it. It's a beautiful amp. I've also now got a MRV-F400 and a MRV-T500. I had a MRV-1000 as well for a while, but it got sold with the car. Even to this day all the amps work perfectly, sound brilliant and absolutely kick ass 👍
I've got two of these V-12s from the 90s, an FRV-F305 and the two channel companion. These came with "birth certificates" that show they are well under rated from the factory, on top of that, they are rated at 12V, not the 14.4 many amps are rated at today. They are very clean and have a nice analog parametric EQ to top things off.
Wowsers! Seen afew Cars in Nz with this very Alpine amp at afew Car Shows in the late 90s.....even many years after this amp was released ppl were still using this v12 series lol
I had an old one like that but it said pro series on it. It was just like that power wise. I'm pretty sure the under rated them for competitions. Mine slammed every sub I ever hooked up to it and never got hot. I think it was older than this one tho.
What's your test voltage? 25x4 @ 4 ohms is the 12v rated power. 14v it's rated higher. My manual for my f300 says 30x4 @ 12v and 50x2 at 14v. F400 is 40x4 @12v and 60x4 @ 14v. I'd like to see an update on it's dyno all channels loaded. I know my f300 sure sounds pretty good and loud for it's rating.
You dont appear to be driving all the channels at once. Just one or one pair bridged. I guarentee if you drive all 4 channels with 4 dummy loads or both pairs bridged at 4ohm dummy loads you wont get as much as the power supply will sag.
@@bdaudio9395 i am using this amp in my car and powering the whole system with it and deciding wheather to just use it for fronts and rears and drive my sub with my rf300s. Im interested to see what power the 250 makes on all four channels loaded at 4 and 2ohm loads to make my decision.

Alpine amps produce about 40 % more power than rated and I've tested prolly 50 of different models.
Those amps run warm but feal like there's about 500 watts on tap.

I totally agree but this is only a temporary dyno set up until I move into my new house and set it up properly with more loads
