A sunny afternoon at Dawlish on the Devon sea wall. Despite the sunny weather and calm wind the sea was extremely choppy. Crashing against the wall and splashing onto the track and trains. Made for some quite dramatic looking scenes, but equally incredible!
    INCLUDES: Cross Country HST's & Voyagers and First Great Western HST's, 150's, 143's & 153!
    Thanks for watching

Great video! Brings back so many fantastic memories of catching train from Exeter St Thomas to Dawlish Warren and then walking along the sea front to Dawlish and then a cream tea!
Great memories from us in Sweden!
    Thanks!

Excellent video there, look so dramatic and the HST pictures nicely against the cliffs. I find it interesting to spot the differences between the XC HST and the FGW ones, the roof detail like the exchaust outlets and also the double mini cooling Fans on the XC compared to the Single fan on the FGW. Not many people stop and notice these things.

No way! I got a FGW HST from Bodmin to Exeter on the 10th. It got to Exeter at about 12. If only i'd sat on the other side of the train, I might have seen you!

Does anyone know the best time of year to get storms at Dawlish? I want to take my friend down for a "nice" holiday by the seaside one day... :D

Let's put a railway where it is most inappropriate.

+David Griffiths Use realtimetrains, that will show you the freight (or lack of) that runs through Dawlish.
