Finally! A taste of summer. The beginning of May has been off to quite a promising start seeing clear blue skies and temperatures reaching the late teens and even up to the mid twenties in places. Thought I'd make the most of the weather and head to one of my favourite places for filming in the UK, Dawlish! Famous for it spectacular views from along the seawall. The Great Western railway snakes its way around the coast between Starcross, through Dawlish Warren & Dawlish and onwards towards Teignmouth before turning inland towards Newton Abbot.
Not only a busy day on the rails, but in the skies high above! Lot's of planes criss-crossing the sky and I even managed to get a few zoomed in shots of them too.
    Trains Featured:
    Great Western HST's, 150's, 143's and 153's
    Cross Country HST's and Voyagers
Another brilliant day in Devon, many more trips down there in the coming summer months I'm sure.
    Thanks for watching

Great video. Those HSTs don’t sound right without the old Valenta engines.

This is a beautiful spot on this track, as it leaves Bristol, onto Weston, then ducks south right along the Dawlish and South Hams coast. Just so stunning journey if going to Totness/Plymouth way. As you know this line gets battered to shreds in bad storms. JJ30

i still think FGW blue is the best HST livery ever. (after blue & grey of course.) Still, they don't seem to be in much of a hurry to spread that dreadful dull matt green everywhere yet, which is something to be grateful for at least.

That's bloody brilliant, sir! Great quality and everything looks lovely. How do you know what code numbers and destinations the aircraft were ?

There's an app called plane finder, it's free but to get the destinations and everything like that you will need to get the full version.

Surprised H&S hasn't enforced the placement of a big ugly grey metal fence that'll end up covered in graffiti along that wall just yet
