Where you been, we’ve missed you 😢
Not a test I have had to undertake often, so this video will be a massive help to refresh the memory in future!
You’re probably the best RUclips Spark for informative content that looks awesome 👌 watched all your content and I’ve adopted a lot of the things you do into my own skill set which has helped me massively as an apprentice!
Once again you nailed it.
Always great videos.
Full of information and the job done properly, no shortcuts.
good to see as not many have done the 3 lead test or understand how to carry out this testing good video thanks
Excellent video - you do thing’s properly! Many thanks Mike.
Great explanation Mike
Thanks for your time
coming along nicely
Great job! 👍🏼
Fantastic video mate. Good reference material to go back on as this test is not one of the common ones and not many sparks could tell you how to do it. Calculations towards the end got a bit complex with the percentage deviation but how you explained it was great. Well done fella. Enjoy your content. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Top man! You nailed it and that's a plumber commenting!
Only just had to use this sort of tester at work this week for doing lightning protection testing. Lucky you have a nice open area to drive your test stakes in for your video
I went with a cheaper tester as testing can be done with as you say by 3 methods, my luck get called to a TT install with a fault no power (Fuse pulled) and what looks like a disconnected Earth Rod! Didn't do the job in the end because no one knew who pulled the fuse or why and other issues! But I would have been in a pickle not being able to prove the TT earth was sound prior to the Supplier (DNO had no contact and stated that without knowing why the fuse was pulled they would not reinstate) coming out and who knows when they would turn up! Would probably need to be there when they came.
interesting and helpful video... thanks!!
Great video!!
years ago I used a wheatstone bridge meter for testing earth rods in hospitals
That’s really interesting stuff. And go ahead and admit it, those were your toys weren’t they? Good to see you back! Be safe out there!
excellent video.
previously with efli test you have almost similar readings ,i wonder ,is it worthy to do potential fall test as well?
But if the test Spikes are into dry ground, what will that measure ?
It is ok 16 ohm ???
In my country we need 4 ohm for normal and 1 ohm for + lighting protection .
How did you do calculations is 2.2 percentage. To ne work out 3.8 percentage..,
Dno or supplier still not been out to reseal?
I haven't five years experience in this field...please guide me and help me i want work with you
What are you doing when you measure to a industrial place and you cannot disconnect earth because are a engine in process
Look up stakeless and selective earth testing. If money is not an issue, see earth clamp meters as well.
Lovely video bud keep it up 👍
Thanks, will do!
Hello man ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Rezistence should be under 4 ohms for civil and industrial ,and under 2 ohms for farming 😢
You have only 1 electrode must be 3 in star connected
I done the calculations 3.8 percentage not 2.2 percentage…
@adriatikkrasniqi1453
Hi. Can you please provide an analysis of your calculations - Thank you. I make it: max deviation from average 16.56 - 16.20 = 0.36 then (100/16.56) x 0.36 = 2.17% which is close to Mike’s result!
@@fje1948 you have to do the highest minus average taken from 3 reading then divide by the highest + - 5% but not more then that…
@@adriatikkrasniqi1453
Thank you for your swift reply.
Using Mikes readings:
Highest 16.84
- Average 16.56
----------
0.28
Further using your wording:
‘Then divide by the highest’ 0.28/16.84=0.01662708 ???????????
Your detailed calculations using Mikes readings would be appreciated - Many Thanks.
@@fje1948 than times by 100 %
@@fje1948 I the end of the day is good to contribute with this calculation for us as learners maybe I am wrong Mike calculation I could be right I don’t but he to explain the calculation.
I am not satisfied with this
