I play with the Vatic Prism Flash -16mm with lead tape on sides and throat. How would you compare this paddle to the Hudef Apex Pro - - control and sweet spot. Thank you.
The prism flash has a better sweet spot and with the extra lead tape you have on it, that's going to make it even better. The Apex is softer so it will be easier to do drops and dinks with but the prism flash already has really great control.
It's comparable to the Vatic Flash since the dimensions are similar and they both have edge foam. I do think it's a better value than the non edge foam paddles on the list
I'm actually not familiar with that brand. $95 for a thermoformed carbon fiber paddle though is a really good deal, might reach out to them for more detaols
should i get the vatic prism flash or the ronbus r1.16? I generate a good amount of power, was thinking about more control. Also looking for something durable that will last me a while and not lose or deteriorate after a few weeks. Thanks!
Both great options with good control and durability. I personally would go with the Prism Flash, it's got a bigger sweet spot than the R1.16. It does swing a bit slower though so if you want a quicker paddle then go with the Ronbus
If i had the extra money to spare on a vatic pro flash would it be worth it compared to getting the prism flash? would the durability on both paddles be around the same?
So the Prism isn't thermoformed and it's more durable in the sense that it won't delaminate but like all polymer core paddles, with heavy use they have a life expectancy of only 6 months. I personally would recommend the prism flash over the flash. Unless you think you need that extra power, with lead tape on the prism, the touch and feel of that paddle is better.
@@LacuzziJ hmm purely speaking control and power, I would say the Vatic Prism V7 or the Hudef Viva Pro but both are elongated and a bit more head heavy. The KiwiLabs Slice is a great option too but it does lean a bit more towards power. The Flash like you mentioned is also a great option, I'm just not a huge fan of the "feel" of the paddle
I prefer the prism V7. Better build quality and sweet spot but with the Ballr Pro you have a longer handle and can get more power on drives. The Ballr Pro also swings quicker so it's up to your preference
I have not actually. Just took a look at their website though and looks like Toray T700 CF Gen 1 paddles in both elongated and standard shapes for ~$100. Seems like a really great deal and something to consider
Great video. Much needed for a lot of people, myself included. I already have a Vatic Pro Flash, but I’m thinking of getting a Gen 1 to work on my soft game. I’m unsure if I should get the Prism Flash just to have that direct comparison, or if I should go for variety and get a different shape. I do prefer a longer handle, so the Ballr Pro is interesting, even if the name is a bit cringey.
Thank you! My recommendation is to go for the Prism Flash if your main goal is to work on the soft game. But if you rather go for variety and get a fun paddle to use, the BallrPro is an great choice for being different from what you're used too and learning a different shape
BY FAR the prism. Even with thermo paddles out there right now, it’s still hitting just as hard while also having no dead spots, and an amazing soft game.
@@zeruth467 I just wish it had a longer handle. It's weird to me that the Prism Flash has a 5.3 inch handle, but the thermoformed Flash has a 5.4 inch handle.
@@TickleMyPickleball one more question, have you noticed the 4.5 inch circumference of the grip on the Ballr Pro? Does it feel like a handful after the usual 4.25 inch grip circumference on most paddles? I like the idea of the 6 inch handle, but a bit worried about the girth of it. It would mostly be for two handed backhands. My hands are definitely on the smaller side.
@@douglasmurdoch7247I had purchased a kiwi labs slice but the handle circumference was massive. I had to send it back. Owner said new batches had smaller handles
awesome review I have both the vatic prism flash 16 and hudef Apex pro 16,both are great, thanks for the discount code too

I just ordered the Hisk off of Amazon,$60! Thoughts on how it may compare to some of these?

Good video and the most important paddle category. Do you have an opinion on the Brooklyn Pb paddles? Lightweight, carbon, polypro core...

Slight edge to the Prism Flash but not by much
If i had the extra money to spare on a vatic pro flash would it be worth it compared to getting the prism flash? would the durability on both paddles be around the same?
Also what would be the best paddle for control and power under the $150 price range? (If it isnt the flash)

Love my Spartus!
When you buy the Baller Pro the company charges you $9.99 for shipping taken away your discount be aware.
Prism flash or rombus 3.16?
Prism flash

Ballr pro vs neonic force?
Neonic force if you want more power, Ballr Pro for more control
