Peugeot 3008 Genting Hill Climb 2022: It Has Class-leading Size but Can it Drive? | YS Khong Driving

  • I wasn't quite happy with the last drive I did with this Peugeot 3008, and this time the traffic conditions were much better, and despite some light traffic we were able to tackle some of the corners with extra gusto.
    A revisit to the body dimensions shows this 3008 to be quite large despite its compact size. Now the question is whether there is enough power to pull this vehicle up the hill. See for yourself if it is agile enough, and handles well enough.

    Bought X70 1.8 with DCT and after 2 years, I went and test 3008 and damn..masa balik terus X70 rasa nk complaint everywhere plus I got fever that night..so straight away call the salesman and booked this one.
    Im in love with this lion and no regrets for trade x70 with this.. regardless of the negatives comment. Freaking good suv

    Test drove this Pug, the new HRV plus the CRV recently. The 2022 HRV and CRV don't even come close to the 3008's driving refinement. The HRV somehow felt harsh compared to this while the CRV felt undersprung, and both their interiors don't exactly make your eyes light up the same way this does.
    While the HRV and CRV simply tick the boxes in your list, this pretty Pug makes the extra effort to actually try make you feel something in your heart by the way it looks, feels and drives... the same way big bikes do (I own a Triumph). The 5-year warranty and 5-year free service were the icing on the cake that made me cancel my Honda booking.

    • @julienrk1550
      @julienrk1550 Год назад

      Yes but the HRV are far more reliable...and not the same category, the same category is the CRV, wich got multilink rear suspension whereas 3008 got a torsion beam (even if it's well calibrated)

    Never expected the 3008 being an SUV and tall could be driven that fast. Of course Mr Khong's skills played a major role and for him to declare it was a FUN SUV, 3008 must be a good if not great SUV.

    Spot on review! Bermas Auto called me two weeks ago and advised me to stop using my Citroen DS4 due to a faulty airbag. They offered me a loan car in the interim while they fixed the airbag (DS4 is more than 11 years old with close to 300,000kms) . A brand new 3008(2023) was offered to me and it arrived to my house (towed) within a week with 7kms on the clock. Absolutely loving this car (SUV). Kudos to Bermas for tracking me down and getting the DS4 fixed for me. I agree with YS Khong's assessment on the car's handling and with Bermas support I suspect that follow-up servicing and support for the life of the car will be excellent.

      Lasts model of Peugeot got only 4 stars In Euro Ncap and they got lots of issue in Europe about their reliability, especially the 1.2l 3 cylinders engine and the 1.5 diesel engines.
