Any chance you'd be able to do a tips/tricks on how to drive spiritedly while being safe, for example how to take corners, when to brake, downshift, decision making when to pass a car and when not to etc. That would be a great video! 😊😊😊😊
Hi Jonathan, thanks for supporting our little channel - you will note from this video I am very careful around traffic, and drive very defensively. Being defensive at all times is very important, and when it is safe, I can drive a little faster. At all times I keep a little in reserve. As for driving techniques, we plan to do a series of driving lessons, perhaps next year, so stay tuned.
This is the second time I see Uncle YS in serious ruthless face and went silent. The first time was when he brought the M340i up the mountain. Awesome driving skills!!!!!! I was observing the side mirror, didn't see any Syder coming, must be about 8seconds or 3 corners or so behind Uncle!!!!!

They are two different cars, and behave differently. The M2C is rear wheel drive and has loads more power. The GR Yaris has less, but is very agile due to the AWD system, and is also a lot lighter. In the wet, the GR Yaris would be far ahead, but ob a dry track the M2C would just walk away from the GR Yaris. Of course a lot depends on the driver skills.
@@taichizi I daily this car. It's on the firm side and very communicative. Some people may not like that you can feel the road that much. But personally I think its firm without being crashy and harsh
@@ThomasYap hi Thomas, great car for zooming around. I appreciate a firm suspension for cornering but my butt and back can’t take too harsh & crushing ride. Old Liao… hopefully there’s a chance to butt test your ride in future.
Uncle, just as you are about to take that exit to Genting Highland, you put on your indicator lights! That's a no-no. When operating a BMW, you cannot use signal, it's against procedures!
The 530i is a nice car. I have driven one before. However, in Europe, it would be better to buy an M car, either new or second hand. Over here, the import duties are very high so the cars are quite rare. Used ones in Europe should be more affordable, and there are so many choices. I would go for a smaller car, like a 335i, or a 330i. More fun than a 5 series.
@@YSKhongDriving I agree, but I mean specifically E39, because is not that big, nice power and engine, parts are easily found, easily fixable, the best looking BMW sedan in my opinion and they are relatively cheap still($2000-$6000 depends on the condition), prices are rising up too, it also might be a good investment. I mean 230HP is good, but this car is relatively heavy, that's why I mentioned some tuning, nothing too much.
Hahaha, being careful with a very expensive car. Waking up extremely early also perhaps had something to do with it. We always have to leep something in reserve, amd that was the first time I was frivi g the M2C, after a 3 lap stint in the launch car in SIC about 3 years ago.

I didn't know that M2 comp had the M4 engine I did buy the normal M2 but still a fun one
original M2 can be tuned easily to be at least 450hp, and sound better

I own an E39 525i, but since you're in Europe where road tax is not displacement based, 530i is the minimum you should go for.
